Have been MIA myself for a while as it was my wedding anniversary on Saturday and then, of course, Mother's Day on Sunday. Both lovely days but couldn't get out of my head I should either have had a 4 mth old, or else been 5 months pg - tried not to dwell on it but made me a bit sad.
Well.... I am fairly sure I O'd on 5th May as had loads of EWCM for a few days - does anyone know whether you can get EWCM if your hCG hasn't come down low enough to O, or does the EWCM mean you are def. Oing??? If it's the latter, then I am in the TWW and 10dpo - AF due on Saturday, so trying not to test until it won't be a waste of test/money!!! I am awful at waiting for anything, so watch this space for news of my willpower (ie lack of, Sharon!!)

Heybacko I always only intended on making it to 12 dpo without testing since I tested at 9 dpo last time which in hindsight I know was just too early. You can be strong too, just repeat after me "do not test early, do not test early, I am strong, I can do it" LOL I have my :crossfingers: for you though.
Sharon - woohoo on the faint BFP! I know exactly how you are feeling - it's so scary worrying that it could turn out to be a chemical pg or could miscarry again or could not actually be a positive at all. My brain goes through the same process, but just remember that it could also be the sticky baby you have been waiting for! In fact, it is more likely to be a sticky baby than anything else!!! I am glad that you are feeling excited!!
Salt & Bekz - happy birthday for yesterday! I hope you both had a great day. Salt - hope you are feeling better today, it's not good at all being sick on your birthday. I hope you O soon - I hate that wait, esp when O usually happens late. Sorry your mothers day wasn't that great - I guess it really rubs it in. I tried not to think about it at all on mothers day and was too busy anyway cooking for my family, but it would have been hard if I had had to see my BIL and SIL and their new bub. Luckily I managed to escape that. :hug:

jen - you could just be having an implantation bleed. I have never had one so don't know exactly what it would be like, but it certainly sounds as if that could be it, and it would be about the right time. It is not over yet!!!
Deb - thanks for your kind words. I have an issue with seeing pg women and babies these days - it makes me sad! My brain tells me 'That will never be you', so I usually avoid those images! Maybe I should try to re-wire my brain or something and try to see those images as something positive. I am really trying to get a more positive attitude, and some days it works, and some days it doesn't. It is just so frustrating that the women who are being treated have a diagnosed condition to treat and fix the problem. As my specialist hasn't found anything, he won't treat me with anything to fix it, so I just feel so helpless. I know the chances of it working out next time are good, but my brain just can't seem to process that information! And I really, really don't want to end up in the recurrent m/c category, but I am so close already that I am terrified of losing another one. I am so glad things are going well for you this time, and hope to hear of a happy and healthy nine months for you!!

Just back from the gp and I'm a mess. She's referred me on to the reproductive biology unit at Monash at Nottinghill. Apart from the fact that we've been trying for a year & because of my age I don't really understand why. I can barely stop crying.
I was so ill prepared for getting my AF this time that I don't even have tampons or proper pads in the house - not one single one. How stupid is that. I'm making do with some pretty serious liners until I can stop crying enough to get to the shops.
She told me that I had Od but not very well. My progesterone level was at 32 and the notes on the results say that a result of 20 means that there is normal corpus luteum function so I just don't understand why 32 is not high enough. I only realised this after I left the surgery otherwise I would have asked.
She also said my estrogen level is too high. It was 543 & it's noted that it is high but I don't get why it is considered high when the normal range is up to 1134 in the luteal phase. I just don't get it.
The thought of going to a FS again is really scary. I hated it last time and I was in a much better state of mind then than I am now.
My DF is dragging me out of the house in the hope of cheering me up now, I don't think it's going to work.

Ive been sick as a dog with the flue and only really had slight m/s today. Kids have all been sick so havent had much time to think for me. Im booking in my scan for the 6th of June- I think I'll be around 7 - 8 weeks by then so feel abit safer about having 'dildo cam' if needed. Still not really thinking aobut being pg to much cause im scared that I'll get to excited and i'll m/c again. We're damed if we do and damed if we dont. All this stupid stress! I thoughts it might have been easier once I got my BFP but NOOOOOOO im so scared to do certain things incase I start to bleed. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts

Have been trying to keep busy and pre-occupy my time, it's hard deciding not to cycle this month, because now I really want to! We are moving house in 3 weeks, to a place with cheaper rent, so next time we cycle, we can afford to go back to back. It scares me only having 2 embryo's left, and if they don't work, I have to go through the stress of another full stim cycle. So I feel like I REALLY need to be in the best possible place, emotionally, before I do another one, positive mind, positive result, right???!!!!

Gee, I'd forgotten how hormonal you can get during AF. Yesterday and today I've not stopped crying about my little boy. All the things we will never get to do together. I ache for him, and his death is a pain that is so terrible and so excruciatingly painful, it is just undescribable. I miss him. I love him. I hope he know this.

Well I tested this morning again (of course) and there is still the faintest of lines (have to hold it up to a light) to be seen, but I did make sure I checked the hpt at 5 mins and could see it then. I just feel like I shouldn't get my hopes up after what happened last cycle. On a positive note yesterday I hardly felt like eating at all, and every time I did eat something I came VERY close the throwing up and all I tried to eat was toast at b'fast which I got half way through, then 2 slices of bread & butter at 3.30pm (that was the worst) and didn't try and eat anything then until 9pm where I had cheese on toast which I only just managed to eat.
Sharon - Sounds like you may have some ms going on. I remember that you got ms very early on last time. Fingers crossed and hope this is it for you.
SP - How you feeling? Sorry to make you cry the other day.
Bun -I quickly read that you started clomid. How is that going for you?
Lee - Big hugs to you hon. Your pain must be so raw and hard to deal with at times. My thoughts are with you.

BekZ - yes, I have just started on clomid. It seems to be going well so far, not too many side effects. I am on CD8 now so not much happening yet, but I have a BT tomorrow to see what's happening. Hopefully I will O sometime around CD14 for a change and will get a sticky bub happening!! Glad to hear all is going well with your pg, it is great inspiration for the rest of us!

Salt - how are you feeling today? I think this cycle will be a positive one for you too. I certainly hope so! Re O'ing late - I couldn't help thinking it was a problem too, but apparently it isn't necessarily so. At least you have a supportive OB who you can talk to and can hopefully reassure you. I hope you are feeling better.
Satya - so sorry to hear of your confusion after your appointment. It all sounds a bit confusing. Maybe your GP is concerned that although you O, it may not be a good O unless your progesterone is a bit higher? I really don't know much about estrogen. I am very certain that the only reason she has sent you to a specialist is because of the time you have been trying, your age and the fact that she now feels out of her depth. GPs really only have v basic knowledge on these matters (I have found out from experience! I honestly think I know more about fertility and m/c than most GPs now!). I think it is good that she has sent you to a specialist. The result may be that either you are told it isn't a problem, in which case that will reassure you, or if they think maybe you could have a stronger O, then I guess they will be able to prescribe treatment for you which will hopefully work! Try to keep your head up - it is a good result really, and don't worry too much about the hormone levels. Have you made an appointment yet?

Sharon - Big congrats!! Sending you loads of sticky vibes. The symptoms are soundling great. Hope the ms is not too hard on you. I would not worry too much about how faint the line is. When I was pregnant the line was very very faint, but my blood results were quite high, so you can never tell.
Bun - Sounds like things are moving along well for you. Glad that you (and DH...) have not suffered any nasty side effects!

Well, I am still waiting for AF to arrive, but and doubly confused now. FF has given me back my coverline, but my temps are all over the place still. I have been wondering if it is the battery on my thermometer. I took my temp last night just to test it and got 3 very different readings within 1 min (36.6, 36.1 and 36.8). Does that sound normal to anyone?
So I am now on CD 38, and 20 DPO. Tested BFN yesterday, but did not get a BFP until 24 DPO last time. So my question is, when should I see my GP?

Bun - go the clomid!! With DS I was on my 4th cycle of 50mg clomid & this time it was my 1st 50mg cycle. Wishing you all the luck in the world. The same goes for all you girls!!!!
BekZ that's what I thought, but didn't haven't the same sick feeling today, just didn't feel like eating, all I have had today is 2 slices of toast for breaky (10am) then at about 12 I had a packet of Toobs, then nothing till dinner time, although I couldn't eat the sausages they tasted really strange, and only managed some of my vegies.
Bun No the line wasn't darker, but could definitely see it (in the right light)
saltprincess hope you are feeling better today, I hate it when my computer loses a post, and it is usually a really long one. I have to admit that when the line came up again today I felt a little more positive even though it wasn't darker.

Leyla thanks, i'll take all the sticky vibes I can get. I don't necessarily want the lines to be super dooper dark, just dark enough for DH to believe me that it is there LOL. If it was me and I was 20 dpo I think I would be making an appt to see the gp in the next couple of days, good luck, hope you get your bfp this cycle too. Can't help with the temps though, sorry.
Now I may sound like a bit of an obsessive here, but when I tested this morning I kept my fmu sample, and then went out and bought 2 other different HPT's and tested with them, and on both of them I got a very very very very faint +ve too, do I sounda little neurotic to anyone :lol: So you all guessed it, I will be testing again in the morning.
Now that's my kind of obsession!!! As you know, this behaviour is completely and utterly normal in our house!! I did tell you about the time we camped in France and I used a whole 50 stick tube of HPTs in one week waiting for it to go darker :redface: ???? (it did, he's still asleep at the mo!!):

Well, I finally was told yesterday that my little boy had pneumonia. I am yet to speak with the pathologist to ascertain what type and how he might have contracted it. He was only 18 hours old when he died. When he was born his breathing was noted by a midwife to be "laboured" and my obstetrician told us she would get a paed to look over him. Despite me asking when was the paed coming 3-4 times, they never came, and my son died. We will be heading down the negligence path. All my baby boy needed was antibiotics and a thorough check and he would be here with us still. Do not be deceived into thinking you get the best of medical attention in a private hospital - the system has let my family, but especially our baby, down. It's heartbreaking.
I was not sick when I went into labour. My MIL flew in from Rome 2 weeks before bubs was born, she had a terrible chest infection. I thought I was coming down with it after a few days of her being here, but I nipped it in the bud. Do any of you know if the baby could have contracted this infection, but not me?

Do you remember I asked you to talk to them about Group B Strep??? I tested positive for this and Joseph was born with double pneumonia and needed a lumbar puncture, CPAP, month in SCBU, ABs etc??
I know you said you had tested neg. for GBS but can you remember when they took the HVS??? GBS can leave your body very quickly after birth (or so I was told) and still leave bubs with problems that are associated with it. Remember, this is nothing to do with your blood work, it is detected by HVS.
I had an awful chest infection in the December just before Christmas (bad UK winter) and JoeJoe was born mid-January - they assured me that without the GBS, JoeJoe would not have caught pneumonia just from this - if any knows different, please post! This is just what they told me. So based on this, I doubt your baby could have caught anything from your MIL without you at least showing symptoms, if at all.
Amanda - next time (:pray: ) I deliver, I will have to have ABs intravenuosly at regular 4 hourly intervals after my waters have gone (or when I go into full labour) until delivery, then bubs will continue to be treated with ABs after. This as a precaution, even if I don't test +ve for GBS at the time. It can disappear and reappear at intervals.
I think you should check whether you had an HVS, when it was done, can they def. 100% rule out GBS and discuss whether you should be tested for it when you go into labour/waters go next time (there WILL be a next time:) )
Also, they cannot rule out GBS by saying bubs tested negative for it. Have a look at some research on GBS on the web, and make them tell you why they can 100% rule it out, for your own piece of mind for your next bub.
I'm so sorry if I have come on a bit strong but when I read about your heart breaking loss originally, I had tears pouring down my face, for both your little bubs and also because of the chill this sent down my spine for Joseph.
Take care of you and yours, and see what you can find out. I am 100% with you on the med.neg route (my degree is in law and I have worked in the UK NHS for years), you go for it, for your little man

well ladies I am feeling a little disapointed this morning as my tests aren't getting darker, not even the 10mui ones from LC so I am not going to get my hopes up, think I will now leave it and wait until either Saturday or Sunday until I test again.

Lee - so sorry to hear about your boy. I definitely agree re med neg (I am a lawyer); it definitely sounds like he should have been seen asap if he was having breathing problems. You poor thing - it must be so awful to hear that news and find out how easy it would have been to prevent this from happening if they had done the right thing. I am thinking of you today sweetie :hug:
Sharon - sorry to hear the tests aren't getting any darker, but keep in mind that tests do not measure the amount of HCG, just whether any HCG is present or not, and also, in some pregnancies HCG goes up quicker than in others. Just out of interest, how long is your LP? If this does turn out to be a chem pg (and I am not saying that it is), then a likely cause of chem pgs is a short LP, and that can be easily treated. If this does turn out to be another chem pg, I would definitely ask to see a FS asap to discuss this with them. It may be as simple as taking a small amount of clomid (as I am), or some other drug to lengthen your LP and prevent it from happening again. Best of luck that this one does turn out well, though! I know how you are feeling right now, and please, vent away if you need to - it helps! And try to remember, it is not over yet!!
Salt - yay, it looks like you O'ed yesterday! Woo hoo!!! Now for the TWW. Best of luck for this cycle - I think things are definitely looking up for you this cycle, and I am looking forward to hearing of your BFP!!!
Leyla - I am not sure what is going on with your temps. 20DPO, no AF and BFNs sounds a bit strange, although Salt is right, temping is not 100% accurate, and apparently for some women, it does not work at all. Also, you only have a hatched coverline, so it is possible that FFs O date is wrong (although it looks right to me). I suppose just give it a few more days and see your dr if still no AF or BFP. How long are your cycles normally?

I had my next BT this morning, although I don't think much is happening yet, as I am only on CD9. I would soooo love to O somewhere close to CD14 for once and am really hoping it happens. Apparently most women on clomid will, so I am crossing my fingers. I am a bit confused, as although AF finished on Tues, last night and today I am having some spotting (brown blood), which is unusual. I am not sure if this is normal or not or if I should be worried? It is only a small amount, but this is not usual for me. Anyone have any ideas? I am also feeling a bit down (again - I sound like a broken record these days). I think it is because the EDD of my first loss is next tues, and I keep seeing heavily pg women around and thinking that should be me; I should be about to go into labour any time now, and instead here I am. I really really thought I would be pg by the time my EDD came around, and never expected to be here, recovering from my second loss and having BTs galore and appointments, etc, and STILL TTC. I am also feeling really hopeless, like it will never work out. I just can't get my brain to believe that it could be ok next time. The chance of my next pg making it to term is 75 - 80% (and that figure is from my specialist), so I should believe that it will work. How do I make my stupid brain believe that!
I got AF today so I am officially going to be around here more often. :)
Bun thank you, I suppose I am just expecting the line to be darker just like my last pgncy, but I am also now thinking that implantation could have happened later this cycle. My luteal phase varies, the shortest one was 9 days (only once) and the longest 14 days so FF has given me an average of 12 days, but I think if this turns out to be another chemical I will be going to speak to my dr. Can't help you with the before O spotting, sorry, but hopefully you are nice and close to O and you will manage to get your sticky bfp, it must be very hard for you approaching your first angels due date :hugs:

Alex - thanks for all the info and hugs :) . There's so many questions...... I have made an appointment with my GP to go over the detailed final autopsy report next week (they won't send it to me, plus it's all medical jargon anyway). So, hopefully then I will know more. I can't even say for sure if my fluid was tested by the doctor when she broke my waters - it's not standard practice in Australia I've been told - some do, some don't. She broke my water about 10am, and I didn't deliver until 9pm, and had a bath in that time. I've a strong feeling bubs caught an infection in that time. I've now got another OB who is competent - and he said there's a couple of main reasons for infection - and one is the Group B Strep you suggest (in fact this account for the majority of causes of pneumonia in newborns) and the other is a staff type infection. Yes, they did tell me the baby did not test positive for GBS - as for me - I really don't know. My new OB ordered numerous blood tests on me the other week, and he called me today to say that I'm perfectly fine, no sign of anything.
Whatever happened to my baby - it happened during labour and delivery - and he went downhill quickly after that.
It's a relief to know what happened to him - at least I can call it something now - not SIDS. But it makes me very very angry too - but my hubby and I will be directing our anger carefully and making sure it hits the exact target - I know I have to do this for our boy - and others after him...

Bun - thanks for your kind words and encouragement. I've been in touch with a med neg lawyer in Melbourne - it's obvious we have a case. First we have to finish our dealings with the Coroner. And Bun - you are a healthy woman - you will have a healthy baby. I tell you, and I don't know why - but the road to happiness for some of us can be a longer and more challenging road than for others. What I have learnt is that, although this can be a pain in the ar...e, it also means the rewards are greater, far greater for us when we get them. So, hang in there, I know it will happen for you soon, you are so worthy.
Sharon - hang in there too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, maybe let it go for a day or two, hopefully you will get some more "signs" - and re-test on the weekend. :pray: for you xo

Bun - intermenstrual bleeding including spotting is a symptom of Clomid so don't worry about that. I haven't yet booked my FS appointment. I don't think I'll go to the one the gp recommended. I am waiting for a return phone call from MIVF so hopefully I will have something organised soon.
Sharon - try not to stress too much about the feint lines yet, but try not to get too excited either. When I my recent m/c at just under 6 weeks my lines did not darken and I'm thinking that was a bit of a warning.... could be wrong I guess. I also got one negative one in the middle of my positive ones.

The last two days have been really difficult. I have been having some major mood swings and have been crying way too much. I seem to be OK again today, but I was yesterday until I got home from work and off I went again. I dread to think how psycho I'll go if I end up on clomid or any other fertility drugs as they messed with me majorly last time. My AF is pretty much finished.... a nice short one again - 3 days max by the look of it. Trying to get my head in a happy place.

Bun - On Clomid, I still never O'd until CD 19+...it doesn't regulate all woman, hang in there, I'm sure it won't be too far off! Sending you lots of positivity that next time your chances will be 85%+ ;-)

i guess you will be asking the doctors this one ! I was very sick at about 30 weeks with a cough/cold that i couldn't shrug off....thinking i couldn't take anything i left it....but after a week or so i went to the doc's and they said you MUST take antibiotics as the sickness CAN harm the baby. Thank god i did as i didn't realise how bad it could affect them. My baby died though due to labour problems (but you just wonder....)
There are so many inspirational women in this thread which is why I love coming in & reading about you all. Most of the stories break my heart but as Lee said we are all the more grateful for our precious gifts once we get them due to everything we have been through.
Bun - I really hope the clomid regulates you & gets your much wanted STICKY BFP. I was O'ng on my own without the clomid but it took a round of clomid to get my BFP. You will go on to have a H&H bub so pls believe this (ps: I o'd cd 15 on the tablets/ 28 day cycle).
Sharon - I hope in a few days you get a lovely dark line & there is cause for celebration!
Lee - my heart breaks hearing your story but it sounds as though you are doing everything you can to spare another family this heartache - what a legacy to leave from Luc!
Salt - I definately think it's a cuddles night & maybe bd tomorrow night if you are up for it! Good luck!

Just a quickie, now 22 DPO with a BFN this morning. no idea what is going on. My cycles are usually no longer that 37 days with an average of 33 days over the last 2 years. FF also told me that I now have a triphasic chart! WHAT THE??? Getting a little frazzled. Just want something to happen! ARGH! If still no AF after the weekend will make an appointment to see GP and get things sorted.

Leyla - I just had a squizz at your chart and I think it's possible that you O'ed later, maybe around CD33, in which case it would be too early to get a BFP. See your dr if it is bugging you (and I can understand that it would be!), but I think it is possible that you just O'ed late this cycle and that is why you have BFNs but no AF. Of course, I could be wrong, but it's a possibility. And if you did O around then, it does look like your chart is starting to be triphasic, which can be a pg sign! Fingers crossed!!
kerry - it would be great to have you back again! (although I am sorry you have to come back here). Here's hoping it will be a short stay followed by a nine month long stay in the pg forums!!
mummyto1 - thank you so much. I see you and the other PAML ladies as an inspiration and always check in on you guys! I sooo hope the clomid gives me a nice 28 day cycle and a sticky BFP! I am on CD10 now and have no symptoms of O approaching yet, but I suppose it is still too early. I hope soooo much that this does the trick and I will be joining you soon! Good luck for your scan - I can feel your anxiety; just the thought of having a scan makes me feel ill. I am sure it will be fine, all is sounding great and I look forward to hearing about it!
Sharon - how are you going today? Have you tested again? I am thinking of you. I think you are right to see a dr about your LP if you do have another chem pg. Even if your LP varies, but has definitely been only 9 days before, then I think it is definitely worth looking into, as it could be preventing your bubs from sticking. Here's hoping it doesn't come to that though!!
Salt - sorry, a bit late, but I think you definitely O'ed 2 days ago, you have a nice temp rise there! So you can let your poor DH know that the BD fest is over!! Meanwhile, my DH is about to find out that our BD fest is about to begin! I would so love us to be bellybuddies again, that would be great!! Here's hoping that we both get lucky with sticky little bubs this month. It is so hard to make your brain see things positively when you have only had negative experiences. I just can't seem to do it or believe that it could EVER happen, but chances are that it will, and I guess we just have to hang in there and keep on going on.
Lisa - thanks for the babydust. Hopefully we will all be joining you soon! Shan is not TTC right now, but is concentrating on losing weight and spending some time concentrating on getting herself happy and healthy for a few months, before TTC again. She pops in now and then to let us know how she is going, and sounds good! Also, I have a Q for you. There was a doco on SBS a little while ago called 'Waiting for a Heartbeat' that a lot of girls here were talking about. I missed it and really wish I had seen it. I have been waiting for a repeat, but not sure if there will be one (or maybe I have missed it). I think it was you who said had recorded it? Would you still have it? No worries if you don't, I would just love to see it (maybe to give me some more hope?). I would pay postage, etc.

Hi to everyone else.
I am to have my next BT on Mon, so obviously yesterday's BT showed nothing has happened yet. I am only CD10 so wouldn't expect anything yet anyway. I am soooo sick of having constant track marks on my arms and I feel like I live at the blood collection place. I am getting soooo over this. I think although I am not always aware of it, my approaching EDD is always in the back of my mind, and I have been quite emotional over the last couple of days. I get nothing done at work and cry when I get home everyday. I am trying to keep positive and tell myself that it is much more likely to work next time than not, and that it could be worse, and other people go through much worse things than this, but I still am quite down. Anyway, I am seeing Spidey3 tonight and going go-karting in the morning (haven't done that before), and have a good weekend planned, so will try to be positive.
Thank you to Bun and everyone else that responded to me. :) I get so excited whenever I come in here because I have a new found hope! Everyone in here is so amazing and I look forward to everyone getting their big BFP's and to all the women who are newly pregnant you give me hope I pray that all continues to go well. So take care of yourselves!
Thanks for all your well wishes girls - they worked. Bubs had a h/b & all looked fine. I now have to get through the 12 wk scan as this is when it went pear shaped last time. I am feeling confident that all will be well this time as it is the only way to be.
Kerry, it will be 3rd time lucky for you I know it. You have been tested the past few months & easy street is ahead for you I know.

Selfish post today.
My week got worse. My mum's cancer is back.... not in the breast this time, but in the lymph nodes so it could be anywhere in her body. The testing will begin again, and then the treatment. We just found out yesterday. She's such a strong woman and is keeping up a brave face, I don't know how. Until last night I wasn't sure if I really wanted to see a FS but with this news I now know that I want to.... it would be great if we could give her something to live for. I will ring for an appointment on Monday.
I also appear to have done something to my back this morning and it's really painful through the middle of my back at about bra level, worse when I breathe in. I don't remember doing anything strenuous, it just came on suddenly. Went for a walk earlier for about 15 minutes and had to have a nap afterwards.... not good.
On a brighter note my DF starts his new job on Monday and it's both close to home and to my work. Trying to feel positive about life but with my back, my fertility issues and my mum's news all in one week I am struggling. My DF is doing everything he can to keep me cheerful.... I'm so lucky to have him. My DstepD is giving me heaps of hugs too.
Anyway I hope everyone is doing a little better than me today.
