    Hi Ladies,

    First of all....

Murraycod- OMG!!!! 27 eggs is amazing. I'm so happy for you, and have everything crossed that this is indeed it. For some reason, I have a feeling it is. Also,

Dory - Glad I made you blush with my sauciness. LOL. There's a lot more sauciness where that came from. I think DP is going to be worn out when I'm done with him, and I've been really enjoying the spontaneous bd. Trying to keep it as random as possible for the time being.

Reet - To answer your question, I've been on bcp for just over 2 years now. So far, so good. I had a slight spotting episode today, but it was almost nothing. I'm putting that down to the fact that if I was fully into 'normal mode', I would have only stopped bleeding today anyway. So I assume it was just a 'slow leak' lmao...... I find that nothing works better than a positive attitude. Even when I feel like throwing a tantrum with frustration, I remind myself that my life is pretty great, and I should be grateful for all the lovely things I have. DP included. He is mostly the bringer of all these lovely things afterall. I can't remember if it was you who asked me about OPKs, so I'll just answer here. I've tossed up the idea of using them, but I'm not sure if I will. I don't want to come on too strong, iykwim? I suppose it would be nice to officially know if I'm ovulating or not, especially so soon after stopping bcp. I don't want DP to think I've gone baby crazy or anything. (which I clearly have... lol) Perhaps I could pass it off as experimental ovulatory testing. Ooh, that sounds technical. When should I start using them though. Nowish? It's all a bit confusing to me. For now, I'm just being au naturale about it all, but I can feel a trip to the chemist coming on tomorrow, while DP is at the footy. I also wanted to say how sorry I am your camping trip didn't work out the way you hoped. But it ain't over yet, girlie. Still some hope there, so keep your chin up and smile. As long as there's a possibility you're pg, then that's all the reason you need to smile. Hold onto that.

AFM, nothing new at the moment. Still just cruising along and enjoying the ride. Oh, and I caught DP smiling at a baby related ad on TV the other night. It was cute. He also says he wants a pram with mag wheels. LOL... do they exist? He makes me chuckle sometimes with his manly approach to baby making. Anyway, I'm off to watch DP's nephew play footy, and celebrate his birthday. Yay.

    Take care, everyone.

Murraycod - awww, thanks hun. I try to be as optimistic as I can. I'm really glad you find it refreshing, and not irritating. lol. I know sometimes when I feel crap, upbeat people make me feel even more crap. (yes, I do feel crap sometimes.... usually at work hehe). Best of luck with your blasties, I'm so excited for you, and I can feel a BFP around the corner for you!

You've all made me feel really welcome, and I've only been here officially for a few days. Thank you all for that. This is such a lovely supportive place to be. I wish more people could be like you lovely ladies are.

:babydust: to everyone!! I'm about to drag that hunky man of mine home for a little somethin' somethin'. LOL....... I've been prepping him all afternoon. Gosh he's a lucky boy.

Murray Cod: I don't know if you'll see this before you go but I'll be thinking of you and your 19 eggs. I am for you.

T-hopes: Sorry about the sucky welcome you got from your trip back. I hope you have your own BFP before you know it. Excited for you to get some more info from your new FS this week.

Gem: Good luck for your cycle. I'm hoping you have good luck with your scan date being on your b-day. I'm hoping it's good luck for me that i'm due for 'O' just after my birthday next week.

Reet: sorry you've been having such a hard time. I'm wishing you could get x-ray vision so you could see what's going on in that body of yours. Maybe you can get some more answers from your specialist? Hope your pup is feeling better soon.

Miss K: Sorry for bfn. It does help to think of something as a mini-goal for the next little while until you can try again. Sounds like a few of the girls here are going to try for losing a few kilos. I keep thinking I should do that every time i try on some clothes and find them a bit tight...but I find it hard cos i'm a real sweet tooth.

Iona Macca: Fingers crossed for you.

Forshelby: you made me lol with your evil bwahaha as you headed off to crash your DP's shower! Very funny. I think it's great if you can still 'practice' and have fun while TTC and not get hung up on only doing it at the right time. I've decided that's my goal for this month, to just enjoying being with DH. If i get pg that's a bonus. I know it's crazy but i also have this slightly superstitious thought that if i'm just DTD to get pg it won't work. I feel like i have to be doing it for the right reasons. (I think there's a bit of the romantic in me!)

Kit: I can see where you were coming from with the honesty policy on this not being your first pregnancy. I know that sometimes i have been honest about my miscarriage because i think people should know that it happens and it's nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes I do it because i'm annoyed by people's insensitivity. You know, people who bug you about 'when are you going to have a baby?' or 'when are you going to have another one' (in my case), as though you can just go and buy a baby from the store whenever you want rather than it being a very personal process that couples go through and over which you have limited control!

A colleague asked me a while back: are you and your DH thinking about having another one (he and his wife were expecting)? I said "actually i just had a miscarriage' (He's a very nice guy and i didn't feel like lying and knew he'd be sensitive to this information). Without skipping a beat he said: oh that's hard...my wife and i had a m/c before this pg...but that's great that you are your DH are open to the idea of more children." I thought that was the smoothest response imaginable and gave him full marks for thinking on his feet!

Ric: No problem coming back after a break from belly belly. Good to hear from you.

Crafty, porsche, bons, saffy, alice, dory, mathewsmum hello lovely ladies (and to anyone i missed).

    Hello everyone,

Hope all you lovely ladies have had a good weekend. Just popping in to say hi.

MurryCod - you must be so excited about tomorrow!! I guess you are in Adelaide now and resting up for tomorrow morning. Hoping you have lovely bright news waiting for you in the morning - go those little blasties. Can't wait to hear how everything goes x

Possum - how are you? What's happening with your cycle?

Forshelby - so your DH must be a happy man today We definitely need as much fun as we can get here otherwise this TTC business just gets you down. Thanks for keeping our spirits up!

Hubba-Bubba - how are you? We haven't seen your name here for a long while. Where are you up to? Hope all is well with you.

MatthewsMum - has that flu gone yet?

KittyKat - how's that belly of yours? I hope you are doing lots of snuggling and resting up.

Just a quick one tonight - hi to everyone - Mildez, Porsche, Crafty, Saffy, Ferrals (if you are reading), Sunbeam, Audax, Dory, TTCaLC, Reet, MissK, Ric, Iona-Macca, Bons, T-hopes, Gem and anyone I've missed - sending you lots of love.

AFM, I was lying in bed this morning thinking of baby names - we have this silly conversation every time we start IVF that we carry on for hours/days that starts when one of us all of a sudden says "What about..." and usually the other one says "No! That's awful!" or "Mmm maybe". So I guess that's a sign we're ready - the baby name game has started already! My temperature has stayed high-ish (could be better) so I'm feeling positive about things. Spent today doing lots of cooking and DH was out in the garden, think we are in nesting mode again. Oh so hoping we get our winter bub!

    Alice x

Oh and I meant to tell you that I went to our local market this morning and bought...wait for it...chocolate chai tea! No, really, it's fantastic - caffeine free and no sugar and tastes delicious - I was in heaven finding a treat that I'm actually allowed to have. Pathetic I know...sometimes it's the small things...

    Question

Alice, Chocolate Chai! You are making my mouth water! I really like chai. Never seen a choc version before, only vanilla. So pleased to hear you are tossing around baby names. I'm glad you are getting into the idea of a June cycle. I plan on being 'in tune for June' with you! (Well i'm hoping i'm lucky in May but i'd be testing in June i think).

Murray Cod: Thinking of you. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

AFM: i miscalculated my last cycle. Checked my diary and it was 28 days just like the one before not 27 as i first thought. Silly cos it's only one day difference but i feel better knowing my cycle length isn't systematically decreasing or anything.

Quick question. A bit embarrassed but... i'm trying to keep an eye on CM and i'm wondering how you can tell when it's EWCM and when it's um...'fallout' from DTD?! How long after DTD would you be sure that it's CM you're looking at and not something else? Hours? A full day later? (Forgive me but i'm a newbie to this CM business).

    Hi Ladies :-)

I figured I would finally bring myself back to the forums, and this is where I need to be!

I m/c'd in Feb at 10w. AF came 6wks later, and I've been waiting for her to visit again so we can start TTC but it's been just over 6wks again now and it's driving me nuts. I took a HPT last week which was a BFN, and I feel like taking one again but I have no symptoms and can't bear to see another BFN just now.

I have a room full of little stuff I can't look at and a close friend who is due any day now and, quite frankly, sometimes I just don't want to get out of bed!

But.. I'm feeling pretty positive right now, so I can join you all in getting UTD this month

Hello MsKara, just wanted to say welcome and sorry for your loss. It's a lovely group of women here and I'm sure you'll feel welcome very quickly. We have our moments - from sad, to crazy, to ROFL - it can be very therapeutic!! So hope you will join in and let us help you get through this hard time. I lost my bub at 8wks in February and the pain is still very raw at times. I don't think we ever get over it but it certainly has been easier for me being here and being able to share those feelings with others who understand. Big hugs to you. It can take some months for things to settle down after a mc - it's frustrating waiting because you just want to try again as soon as you can so hope you don't have to wait too long x

MurryCod - thinking of you this morning xxxxx You must be all gowned up now and ready for your transfer. Hope the nurses are being super nice and your FS has great news for you. Exciting!!!!!! We are all thinking of you - how are we going to get through the next two weeks?! You'll have to post everyday or we'll go spare!!!!

Crafty - that's great you are feeling laid back about it and mm, well, not that I would want you to have thrush but if it's a possible sign of being UTD then I'm hoping you're right! How's the crafting going??

Possum - LOL "fall out". Um, well EWCM is elastic, so to speak. You can stretch it between your fingers and it won't break. "Fall out" (hee hee), on the other hand, isn't elastic. You usually get EWCM when you are about to ovulate then for a few days so you only really need to look out for the first sign of it and know that from then on (girls am I getting this right?) you are ready. Are you temperature charting as well? If you have a regular cycle you could count back 14 days from the end of it and guess that's when you O if you don't want to temp and use that as a guide but usually the EWCM is obvious at some point during the day. Hope this helps

    T-hopes - what's happening with you?

Bons - is your DH home yet?

Hi everyone. Have a great day

    Alice x

Iona-Macca - we posted at the same time. Sorry for your BFP but at least you won't have her spoiling your holiday. I keep meaning to ask you what you are studying - seems there's a few of us in here doing it. What is the course?

Hey Everyone.. Miss YOU all!! Feel like i havent been here in weeks..
Well went to my Doctors she told me i have 2 tubes( ofcourse) but only one is working but she said i can still have babies
she helped me alot cause we talkede about how long we been TTC and she said she TTC for 7 yrs and finally got prego at age 35. so that relieved me alot.
She told me on the first day of AF count 14 days from then and then 14,15,16 and 13,12,11 3 ahead and 3 backwards is the BEST days to conceive.. she said if im not pregowith in 6 months
she is going to set me up with some meds to help me O. She said i got a feeling ill get a call from you in 3 months.. Lets hope ,right i said..LOL

So that is what happen but other then that she said everyting looks good.. she said have lots and lots of sex even if u got to have it 24 hrs a day..LOL

The kids keeping me busy... getting things ready for our Vacation.. was going to go to Virgina Beach but ALL hotels thatis close to the beach is full for the Soccer tournament so im not sure were we are going now..

Forshelby- They say to start testing using opk's from day 12 onwards.. but yeah if ur happy to just go with the flow for a while do that! U might fall pg straight away and not have to turn into a crazy lady like the rest of us!! golly gosh the amount of money spent on opk's and hpt's from everyone in this forum wld be enormous!! see is ur next af comes on time.. that will most likely mean that u did 'o'. All this talk of u spontaneously bd'ing gets me frustrated.. i wish my dh was at home and not working away! haha.

Murraycod- Thinking of u today! Hope everything goes great! u will be mays first bfp!! i think anyway, kit urs was in april wasnt it..? x

Possum magic- this is going to sound gross.. but maybe smell it??! 'fall out' has quite a distinct smell i reckon... with me it usually comes out within a couple hrs after a bd. Do u use the opk's?? if not u cld maybe try them so u dont have to rely so much on ur cm.. The cm thing is all pretty new to me too.. i dont think i wld know when im 'o'ing just by checking it.. the opk's are a godsend!

Crafty- Yay for thrush if it means ur UTD!!

Iona macca- sorry about af arriving enjoy ur holiday though.. how long are u gone for?? u might just conceive while ur away having fun!

MsKara- Sorry about ur loss. I have also been hugely frustrated at my annoying body. If urs doesnt sort itself out in the next couple weeks see ur doctor and maybe get some bloods done?? I waited 10 wks after my m/c to see why i wasnt getting af.. i feel like i wasted so much time!! Good luck x

Alice- Bring on the nesting! what scrumptious things did u bake???

Afm- One of my friends whos into crystals etc. called me yesterday.. she has this crystal thing which she can ask questions and it either tells her yes or no..i havent actually seen what shes talking about, but i think its all to do with the movement of the crystal.. anyway earlier last week she said that she asked it.. will marita get pg on tues? it 'said' no, will marita get pg on wed? also no, will marita get pg on thurs and it said yes! Im pretty sure thats the day i o'ed on and its really the only day while i was away that we got a good bd in because of all the spotting! I know it probly all sounds a bit crazy but hey it keeps me a bit positive and if it turns out that its correct ill be over the moon!! We'll just have to wait and see i guess! Positive thinking!

Kit- how early did u get ur bfp?? 9 dpo?? im going to go crazy with the hpt's in about a weeks time.. i think ill use ur strategy.. start testing early.. it worked for u!!

Anyway better go. Hello to everyone!!! xxx

Reet- Thanks for the advice! I haven't had much luck finding somewhere (searching online) to buy OPK's, so I figure it's a sign. None for me this month. Let's hope this is the one and only! lol... I am always on a very regular cycle, within the 28-30 day mark, so that's good enough for me. I am hoping af doesn't arrive!!! I'm sorry if my random deed doage is frustrating to you, it must be hard not being able to have your wicked way whenever you please. Especially at a time like this! But it's really good to see you're thinking positively and I like the sound of your friend with the crystals. She just might be right, you know. I really hope she is.

MsKara- Welcome back! I'm so sorry about your loss, it must've been so hard waiting so long for af, too. When I mc'd at 8 weeks, I was one of the 'lucky' ones who returned to 'normal' (whatever that is...) straight away. I am thankful that my body works like clockwork, and I can always rely on my cycle being regular. I wish I could do something to give you some of my good fortune in that sense. Just remember you're still grieving, so be gentle with yourself, ok? It's been a long long time since my mc, but I still need to go easy on myself sometimes. I don't think it's something you're meant to just get over, iykwim? The pain just changes into something more manageable. It might sound terrible, but it's kind of become part of the background noise of my life. It's always there, but it's not at the forefront anymore. Tbh, I really only came full circle when DP finally said we can TTC. I waited more than 2 years for him to say that, so it was a huge relief, (he said never) and since then I've felt a happiness close to before our loss. Not quite the same, but close. It's nice to have something to look forward to again. I hope you fall pg quickly, and that this one sticks! Babydust to you!

Possum Magic- There's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid mistakes. Or at least that's what an old boss would have me believe. I too have the same question, as I do find it slightly difficult to tell exactly what I'm looking at for at least a couple of days after bd. Not very helpful for me at the moment since I've been attacking him at every opportunity.... LOL. So I'd just like to say ME TOO in regards to that question, but with a slight modification. I want to know if EWCM will still look and feel the same, even if we've been DTD madly at the time. i don't want to miss it!!

Alice - So glad to be of service. I try to keep positive, no matter what. It really does seem to rub off on people. Someone at work even asked me why I'm so happy all the time. I confessed that I'm not, I'm just really good at pretending sometimes. I prefer to use honey, rather than vinegar. So far I'm very sticky, but I think it's working..... lol.

AFM, nothing new to report. Had some slight cramping today on my left side only. That was a bit annoying...... not sure why I'm cramping so early. Maybe getting ready for O? (6 days away). What do you think? Also, out of curiosity... where can I buy OPKs on the Goldcoast? I assume the chemist has them, but after the last trip I'm not keen on browsing around. The lady behind the counter looked at me like I was an alien when I asked if paracetamol is all I can take during pregnancy. Then she looked at me like I was umm.. 2 aliens (lol) when she asked how far pg I was and I said I was TTC. I thought that was pretty rude. I mean, you're supposed to ask these questions. Or am I mistaken, and I should just take anything willy nilly because the pharmacy staff are too uptight to answer me without judging? haha.... nothing like a bit of sarcasm. Seriously though, really put off by that woman's attitude. I know I look fairly young, and I'm only 25, but really.... she should just answer my question without making me feel like an idiot. Well, that's my rant over. Back to waiting for O. hehehe.....

oh yes, and DP is a very happy camper with me being so randy lately. It's so nice to be off those awful bcp and feeling normal again! I forgot what it was like to feel turned on at random, rather than having to tell myself to get in the mood because it's been more than a week since we last DTD. Matter of fact.... I might just have to wake him from his manly couch slumber right now in a provocative manner. LMAO

This is a me post, apologies in advance, but I need your advice. Ok, so this morning DH and I (he took the day off, wanted to come to the appt, I didn't think it was that big a deal, but hey, the man wants to be involved). All bloods good, HCG at 5 weeks was 2355. Very happy. Went shopping. Got annoyed when I had to go pee for the 4th time that morning. Blood. Lots. So freaking unexpected, no pain no cramping no anything. So, I'm shaking and my heart's pounding, I call DH. He sneaks into the girls toilets, I show him the blood (I honestly don't know why, and in hindsight a bit icky, but I wanted too at the time). So we go to emergency. I was in a daze, no idea what's going on, I just kept telling Tiger ''it's all going to be ok'' and practically hyperventilating at every twinge. We see the triage nurse, explain, she checks the blood and it's stopped. Thank God. She says she'll give me an appt for beta's in an hour or so. I go to the toilet - blood. Lots. I go back to triage nurse. We get given a bed, I'm refusing to stand upright or sit, cos I remember my Mum saying she bled with my Sister, and she lay down for 3 days and it stopped. There is no freaking way I'm standing up. They take blood, well, after blowing 2 veins they take blood. I'm still kinda waiting for the cramping to begin, DH says he's hopeful. I say if we make it, and Tiger's a girl, we're calling her Hope. The midwife says that they'll put my blood in the counter, and depending on how high HCG is is how long it will take, she says an hour is good. I hyperventilate anytime feet come near the curtain, I want to see no feet for one hour. I get taken for an ultrasound, no bloods back. It's internal and I'm still bleeding. I apologise (lol!). The Dr can't find anything. I hate her. She keeps looking, she says ''ok'' and shows me a smudge on the screen, but she can't find a heartbeat. I dont care, I'm still pregnant. Another Dr (or a tech?) swivels the stick around a bit, she finds the heartbeat. I love her. They can see the bleed, but don't know why it's there, it's right behind the baby, which scares the crap out of me. We go see the nurse for pamphlets and beta's. I'm sitting up, and I can feel some bleeding, I slouch as best I can. She says beta's aren't back, but too much info is a bad thing. I look at her like she's crazy. She sigh's and rings the blood people. They say the maching is still counting and it's over 10, 000. I tell her I like information. Information makes me happy. DH tells her we have an ultrasound booked for Friday and should we still go, she says definitely not. So, that's my question, should I go to the ultrasound on Friday and double check everythings ok, or do I let it go? I feel very tender, and I was told to expect a bit of spotting. I'm still really scared, but very aware how differently today could have gone. I have no intention of standing or sitting up for oh, 7 1/2 months. Crap, this was such a lucky day, so glad DH was there, could not have driven myself around. So 5 weeks 5 days, beta's over 10,000, baby with a heartbeat. And some blood. So, happy and scared. Pretty freaking usual really. I trust you guys, do you think I should go on Friday, or leave it?

Reet: I got a potential positive/evap line 11 DPO, and BFP 12 DPO with internet cheapies that tested 20 miu. I had cramping 8 DPO so I was hoping for a day 11/12 BFP, cos apparantly after implantation it takes 3 days to build up the HCG. Good luck sweetie xoxo, when you get your BFP - try and make it hassle free, beg the baby to be nice to you!
