I seriously have to quit my job so I can keep up with you ladies!!!! *deep breath*
Dory - Lol@ the dory moment.. and thanks for the encouragement. All those ideas are good, especially the card. I think I might go with that. I'm probably over-analyzing his potential reaction, and am pretty sure he'd just be appreciative. I'm still working up the courage to say something, but I really think I will. Soon. Just waiting for the dust to settle. And Lol @ the bonanza music. Now it's in my head!!
Damprye - The best comebacks always pop into your mind AFTER the opportunity for a snappy comeback have passed. Don't you hate that? I'm always a bit shocked when I hear about teen mums, though I shouldn't be. It's an epidemic, and the attention seeking at its worst. Ugh. I'm still a bit scared about the whole birth process... typical newbie I am. I can just picture the look of pure horror on DP's face. :o 45 hours is a long labour! Argh! I'm really glad you're feeling good today. yay for that.
Bons - I know that raw feeling all too well. It's hard when you understand their pain but can't share with them. I hope you're having a good time with your mama! I haven't seen mine for 2 and a half years now.... I sort of can't bring myself to go back there. Last time I was 'home' I was pg, and I don't want to go back until I am again. Is that crazy?? When I told her we've decided to try again, she just said: 'OH. MY. GOD.' I don't know if that was a good reaction or not... she's hard to read sometimes.
Minnie - Sorry you had a bad day today. What happened? Please feel free to share with us, that's what we're here for. I hope we can be the bright spark to light up a crappy day for you. :D Any new developments with the family? Stay strong.
Matthews mum - Agreed, it's a tough situation. Definitely tougher for him though. I just feel really bad for not reaching out to comfort him when I know I have the experience in this department. Ugh. Glad your levels are rising, and I hope the next bt gives you the result you need! Let us know when you get a date for the FET.
Reet - I still haven't spoken to my 'friend'. I'm just SOOOO disappointed in her. This is someone I've been friends with since the first day of school. She lives in Adelaide now, so we never see eachother (haven't for over 10 years now) but we kept in contact almost every day, and were 'close' so to speak. She hasn't messaged me again or anything, so I'm just getting madder and madder, totally stewing over it. I'm about 99% sure it'll be wasted energy trying to get her to see how inconsiderate she was. So I guess there goes my 20 year friendship. Sad. 8 yrs on levlen is a long time, especially if you weren't having ANY afs! I don't know how you managed it! Anytime I tried to skip even one af, she would barge on in anyway, and leave me with 3 weeks of spotting and cramps. I decided after a few attempts like that to just accept af. I'm also too busy on BB for tv, lol. DP doesn't seem to mind though, he gets to watch what he wants! And I must know... what is maca?? Might be a silly question but I have no idea.
Possum - I think what I'm most afraid of isn't the pain, but the lack of dignity. I feel silly for saying that, but that's just where I'm at right now. I almost don't want DP to see me like that, but can't imagine doing it without him there. I remember when I was in the hospital just before my mc, and I had to have an internal. He looked at me with an 'OH GOD' expression when the nurse said what she needed to do, but I grabbed his hand to stop him from running out of the room. He just sat there with this glazed expression on his face, and I felt so dead inside. I know things were different then, and that he wasn't ready to be a father (that pg was unplanned, he fought me to terminate but I refused).... but those moments are hard to forget. I feel sad now remembering that. :( I'm so excited though that you're coming up to the 5 week mark. I hope this pg goes smoothly for you, and that DD doesn't blab! LOL. Good luck with your bt's next week. :)
Iona - Spotting sounds interesting! So does the random crying episode..... Ohhh hoping for a BFP for you, hun. How did you get through your appointment after the cryfest? I have a bad habit of not being able to stop when I start, lol. I'm totally jealous that you have the opportunity to nap during the day, too. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to go to work, but I just can't bring myself to 'rely' on him yet. Even when I have bubby, I know it'll take some major adjusting and guilty feelings on my part. That place is SOUL DESTROYING some days though, and I can't wait to take maternity leave. It's really just that one horrible woman in my department who makes it so awful. Without her, I would love my job. Anyway, when are you testing again???? I'm all excited!
Alice - Hi, hun. I don't see enough of you around here these days. Hope you're well.
To all those MIA, Craftymummy, Ferrals, Kitfaerie.... we miss you. :) To those who stalk, Murraycod, Dory, Possum... so glad you're sticking around. :D And to anyone else who's lurking but hasn't yet spoken up, please do. I always get excited when there's a new member.
AFM, nothing of interest to report. Had a REALLY rough day today at work, and just wanted to cry. It's hard when we're short staffed, and the other two just don't seem to 'get' how hard it is to be the cashier, and responsible for up to 20 grand in cash. They also like to pretend they don't notice when I'm struggling to get everything done, and sit there checking their personal emails and having a great time wandering around socializing after they've finished their own work. :shakehead: Last time I go to their rescue when they're under pressure. Ughhhh.... It was hard to keep my cool. But I got through it, and am just about to have a few glasses of wine to unwind. (Just for you Murraycod... hehe!) The start of the month is going really slowly for me. Come on O!
hi girls,
im going to try and do a post with personals !
Alice: i have been following your journey, good for you to be able to wait a few months before trying again to get things right, from my experience a m/c doesnt just upset one cycle but it can often be months before things get back to normal, hopefully in a few months everything will a line perfectly for you and you will get a really sticky BFP
Iona: still have everything crossed for you
Damprye: i watched your video too, as i was watching i was thinking what a cheeky monkey you had there coming out posterior and making things difficult for you !
for the girls that are worried about labour i agree with the point that is only one day, i was induced and had an epidural with my first and arrived at the hospital just before my 2nd arrived ! (im also a midwife as i know a few girls here are)
forshelby: im sorry to hear you have fallen out with your friend, it sounds a bit like what is happening with my family, its an awful feeling, yesterday was such a terrible day for me, i spent the whole day crying because it was the 1st anniversary of my old aunts death (she was like a grandmother to me) and it hurt so much knowing the rest of my "family" would have been spending the day together and it seems no one cares about me, i just cannot understand my family treating me like this, i am so hurt by them and i feel like you do with your friend that our relationship may be over, its so unbelievable to say that, to fall out over this when i did nothing wrong and yet im being treated like im in the wrong. when i first told my mum i was pregnant with my third child (which turned into my first m/c) she was horrified, said it wasn't good news so she has hurt me a lot this last 6 months, sorry i could go on and on about it !
matthews mum: i hope tomorrows blood test shows your levels are good, are you going through newcastle ivf (hope you dont mind me asking that)
dory: how are you feeling about things ? you are such a good support to everyone on here
ok girls i cant go back any further on the page so sorry for those i missed
morning girls
i've been awake since 4am!!! I'm going to be soo tired today but I tested again this morn and it was a BFN, thinking I may go buy a chemist bought HPT and see how that goes tomorrow/ I did take my temp this morn and adjusted it and it has increased since thursday, didn't do it yesterday and have only started to temp since thursday hehehe
Felt queasy this morn and hungry!!
forshelby - oh sweety, i remember when I was working in a small accounting firm (staff of 3-4) and I knew the office like the back of my hand, clients phone numbers etc....it wasn't until one day I got sick of people not getting off their asses and getting files/phone numbers themselves/knowing the clients they would call out to me or I'll put a phone call thru to someone and they'll be like who is that what do they do why are they ringing, so I started getting short with them all. My boss pulled me up for it....my reply was well if people got off their butts and got things themselves I probably wouldn't be in this mood...his reply was yes i hear they always calling Iona this, Iona that but that's not the way to be!! urgh didn't take me long to decide it was time to move on
Well girls I will update you once my body decides to co-operate with me
Have a good saturday
xoxox
Minnie - I'm so sorry you spent the day mourning by yourself. Life is unfair. I can't believe your own mother had such a self-centred reaction to your pregnancy announcement...... I'm disgusted. I just don't know what to say. Who even says that? It's okay for her to be concerned for whatever reasons, but to say it's not good news, and totally ruin your joy is just sickening. This may or may not help, but here's what I would do. Confront my mother, tell her HOW DARE SHE be so self centred. HOW DARE SHE tell me how many children is right for me, and HOW DARE SHE not support me after 3 losses, when I need her most. But that's just me. Call me a firecracker, lol.. but I just don't think you should take this lying down. Your family need to know how unacceptable their behaviour is and how damaging it is to your relationship with them. When something like this happens, and one party hurts another, that's when things get really tricky. Communication breaks down, and once that happens.... well it's very difficult to get things back on track. I say open up the lines again, but stand your ground. Explain how hurtful they've been, and how abandoned you feel. I'd also like to hazard a guess that your mum has never experienced a pregnancy loss. I was 'lucky' I suppose, in that my Aunty suffered a miscarriage, and although we aren't close, had some very wise words for me. She told me that although it was early (almost 8 weeks) that I lost a little person, and I need to grieve for him/her. It helped to know someone understood, and although we aren't all there beside you, I hope you realise how much we all care. WE understand, even if your family doesn't. You aren't alone. :heartbeat:
Iona - wow, another accountant! I could have written that myself. Except that I'm one of the newer additions, only been in that dept for 2 years. I find it really surprising that one of the other ladies, despite being there for a year longer than me, doesn't have to answer the phone because she's 'uncomfortable' with it. WTF? I'll be drowning in work, struggling to answer my own calls, and someone elses phone is ringing while they're off god knows where, and she just sits there ignoring it! I love her to bits, she's a lovely lady... but COME ON!!!! It does my head in that this kind of stuff is ok with the boss. I told him one day that I was struggling, and resented having to answer other peoples phones while they made cup of tea after cup of tea, and he told me 'I'd like the phone answered where possible'. I asked him what voicemail was even for then, and he just told me again that he expected me to do it. I don't get it. They seem to hold me to a higher standard for some reason. It seems everyone else gets to pick and choose what they want to do. My workload is ridiculous... Drives me crazy sometimes. But you know what? I WILL NOT QUIT. I refuse to leave a job I know inside and out, because of poor management and some crappy rules. I'm good at what I do, and I love working for the same company as my partner. Plus I have some great friends in my old department, and still enjoy seeing them daily. So I guess I'll just keep on truckin! lol
So sorry to hear about your BFN this morning. When I saw the time of your post I was sure it was BFP. :( I thought.. who the heck is up at that time of morning? LOL, sorry. What cd are you on at the moment?? I won't give up hope until you're riding the crimson wave.
Reet - has af turned up yet?? I told her to go straight to your house when she left mine. Maybe she's stuck in traffic? lol... I hope things start sorting themselves out for you soon, all the waiting and hoping your body will get its act together must be agonizing.
AFM, nothing exciting happening at all. I sent my friend a text last night explaining how shocked I was at the way she would send me a picture of a newborn with NO warning etc... and got no response. So that's it. I'm done. I don't need friends like that. She lacks empathy, and clearly thinks there's nothing wrong with what she did. I've decided not to bother with her anymore. I've really just had enough of insensitive people, and am really blown away that she could be mad at ME for not jumping up and down with excitement for her teenage sister's latest dole-baby. I got a similar reaction when I told her we are finally TTC. She pretty much ignored it, and doesn't even mention it or ask how I'm doing. Apparently if you aren't a teenager living at home with your mummy, with no job, and haven't bothered to learn how to drive or buy a car..... she doesn't want to know about your plans for kids! LOL... some people are so backwards. At least we're two adults in a loving comitted relationship, not a couple of kids playing house. Ok that's it, I'm wiping her from my memory bank as of now.
I hope everyone is well, and having a lovely Saturday morning. Oh, and anyone in QLD YAAAAAY for the long weekend. :)
forshelby - don't worry I was wondering what the hell I was doing up at that time to....yeh not quite a qualified accountant that's what I'm doing at uni, figured even though I know how to do all the work I'm better off getting the piece of paper that will give me more $$ and at the same time have my children so then I can go straight into the workforce and my employer won't have to worry about me taking time off for children etc (well for the newborn years etc)
well girls....after I took my DS to swimming we went to the shopping centre to have lunch and needed to pick up a few things, so decided to get some HPT - got the 3 pack of first response....rather have more than one jic. well of course when I just got home the tests were calling.....and this is what I got
it's very faint but i couldn't even pee on it for 3 secs so for a dribble attempt that is pretty good I think!!!
Iona: whhhhooo you have yourself a :bfp: there ! :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl: :happyforyou:
first response are my favourite brand test, will you do another one tomorrow to see it getting darker ? congrats
thanks minnie, surely will be testing again....just a lil worried as this is how my pregnancy started in jan with the spotting which lead to a m/c a few weeks later....so will be giving this lil bean a talking to for the next few weeks
OMG congratulations Iona sending out lots of sicky vibes and just OMG :D
ionamacca-congratulations,fmu should show a much darker line...alice-how are those cold & flu symptoms...minniemouse-yes,sydney ivf, newcastle, but i've been able to get bt's closer to home.Hugs for your aunt's anniversary...thinking of everyone..afm-waiting to hear from clinic about todays blood result,my veins this morning went on strike though, tried arm, hand, went back to arm & was successful 3rd go
Iona, for a dribble attempt in the afternoon, that's freaking awesome!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS WOOHOOOOOO
Honey, so so happy for you!!!! I totally understand the nervouse times ahead, rest up and teke it easy, can't wait to see tomorrow's FMU result!!!!!!
Iona- OH MY GOD!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! Like murraycod said i cant wait to see mornings result!!! Am so so so happy for u!!!! :)
Matthews mum- It will be nice just to finally get the date.. u must be feeling a bit drained of blood at the moment! i hope ur eating a lot of juicy red meat! u must be very sick of being jabbed! :)
Possum- Dont u hate having to wait over the weekend for blood test results. When i went for a gyno appointment on a friday and then had to get a blood test done that arvo i asked the receptionist to write on it urgent and i had the results within a couple hrs!! haha.. it wasnt even that important knowing the results.. it was only for a progesterone test to see why af wasnt coming.. i just cant handle waiting!! Hope ur hcg levels are exactly where they shld be. Dont stress too much about not feeling any different just yet.. there are so many ppl that dont get any of the normal symptoms.. when i was pg i was stressing the same.. and it was really suprising how many ppl said they got nothing or it came a bit later at 8 weeks.. Good luck! x
Damprye- Yay that u know ur body! I wish i did! Hope u caught that eggy and the 2ww goes quickly for u :)
Forshelby- i think u have done the right thing with ur friend.. u know whats really annoying when its rubbed in ur face that 'dolebludging' teenagers can have babies so easily.. and us 'nice normal' ppl find it difficult.. its so frustrating. Maca is a natural powder substance.. i think its a root.. its meant to help regulate ur body.. like if its lacking 1 hormone it will boost it up.. and it helps to give u normal 28 day cycles.. hhmmm cant really give u much more info!! i just take it cos i dont know what else to do with my messed up body! plus a few of the ladies on here have said they owe maca for there pregnancies.. so worth a try! :)
Dory- I think u had a 'dory moment' when asking bons if her dh worked up weipa way.. did u mean to ask me?? :) cos my dh was working 2 hrs south of weipa for the last 5 weeks. He works on satellite communication towers so he travels around everywhere! how have u heard of weipa??
Hello to everyone else too!!!!! xxx
AFM: Well dh got back last nite.. so i have been keeping pretty busy :) i think af is finally on her way! yay! well i have had tiny bit of pink when wiping.. oh i so hope shes here by the morning. FX.
I am starting to feel like im going to be the last one left in here... i wonder if when i fill up 20 pages writing to myself whether admin will even add a new thread...??? haha sorry im just moping.. feeling a bit sorry for myself.. :) all good tho... as long as af arrives sooon so i can get this ball rolling!!!
Congratulations again iona xxxxxxxxxxxx
:clap::o:D Iona, that's fantastic! It must be the World cup! I'm into 'omens' myself. The first time i got pg i found out in Qld on holiday. The second time i was also in Qld on holiday and using the same brand of pg test! But this time only the pg test is the same-it's still my lucky test!-but no Qld holiday! Oh well :) Can't wait to see the next picture.
Dory: Giving the cat meds sounds like a tricky operation. It'd be great if your DH can do it! My thyroid problem last time was discovered just before i miscarried (and 5wks after i started feeling really unwell). The dr prescribed me meds and i took them for about two days but i insisted on another blood test because i felt better as soon as i'd had my first d & C. My thyroid was normal again. So it was somehow pregnancy related i think but i need to have it checked to see it doesn't recur.
Forshelby: Aaahh, dignity. I think it gets left at the door when you go into labour! You'll be so preoccupied with what's happening to your body that you won't think about it! And my DH nervously backed away in a big hurry when any internal exams were happening during my pregnancy but he was there the whole time for me during labour. (Not that he found it easy but that had nothing to do with indignity...just didn't like seeing me in pain. But he was fantastic and i couldn't have done it without him. My best friend was my other support person).
Mathewsmum: thinking of you. So hope you get the 'right' BT result soon. Your poor veins!
Reet: Hope AF has arrived. Don't worry, you won't be left here all alone (i was scared of that too but it doesn't seem to happen).
AFM: Gp marked my blood tests 'urgent' in case anything interesting shows up but she's only going to call/write to me if there's a problem! Unless i make a time to see her i won't get the results until i make a time to see my obstetrician (planning to go in about 10 days). GP said the clinic won't give out BT results over the phone. Grrr!
Well girls, did another test this morn...is a lil darker but not much
sorry the photo isn't that great
This morn feeling quite queasy and my bb's are so tingly and sore
Possum - my dr always marks my bt's as urgent and then rings me at the end of his shift, one thing I love about my dr and he takes his time with you....he is always running behind which I don't mind half the time, gives me a chance to have some me time lol
Reet - glad to hear that AF is around the corner...pity about the timing of DH coing home....always the way tho
matthew's mum - oh all those blood tests you must be feeling like a pin cushion...if it was me they prob would have heaps of trouble I have such small veins that there has been only one nurse that has always got it first go
forshelby - oh sweety, i wish i could give you some real hugs...sometimes some friends aren't worth being in your life especially if they are going to act like that
have a lovely sunday girls
xoxox
Well that is definatelt darker!! Iona babe you deserve this so much!! I am soooo exctied for you!!!!
Have a great day XXX
Iona!!! Congratulations! :happyforyou::leap: Yayayayyayya!!! So happy for you love!!!!!!
Just a quicky from me today so I am only doing persies from this page.
Forshelby- I hope things get better for you soon.
Matthew's Mum- Those veins can be tricky things at times.
Reet- Congrats on AF finally starting to show her face (so to speak).
Possum- Wouldn't it be great if they called to let you know if everything was alright too?
Iona- Congrats on the darkening line. Maybe you should take the last test in about 2-3days just so you can put up an awesome pic of nice dark lines?
To everyone else, I have read your posts and am thinking of you all.
AFM- I think I will just lurk for a little bit, I'm just not feeling up to it atm. I am pretty sure I have managed to come down with a bug. Last night for (I am pretty sure) the first time ever I passed out for about ten minutes. I decided it was time for bed after that. Somehow I managed to sleep a whole 12hours and have woken up shakey, nauceas, have a killer headache and really crampy. Has anyone else had anything like this before? I think I should go lay down again now but I will be back later on.
Iona!!! OMG!!! Congratulations! You got a baby in that belly babe! Well done sweetness! Come on people, keep it coming!!
