buliej: Thanks girl.. well right now I cannot even afford a pantyhose.. much less AP. I guess I just have to wait... if AF decides to come.. she will be welcome.. but am afraid that like last year she will stay for 3 months.
It all sucks. :crying:
I'm sorry about your loss girl.. just please know we all understand.. we have been in your shoes.
I'm here for you girl.. even though I might not be of much help right now. :(
Hannh, plc: Thank you girlS. I hope so. It can't get any worse or can it??... **sigh** I just want things to finally look up.. they always do.. but I dream of that day...**sigh** that day ..when I hear my newborn crying for the very first time.. when I hold that tiny hand.. when I can smile...look back and say to myself.. "It was all worth it."..:crying:
THANK YOU GIRLS!!!

Toccara--Hey, hon, good to hear from you!
smi--Glad to hear you're feeling better! Cheers to this cycle! *hugs*
plc--Dec. 27 is THE day!! :leap: (Couldn't help but snoop in the PAML thread... ) Congrats on having a date set! Are you getting nervous yet?
Ruthie--My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family! Wishing you the best of :goodluck: with DH finding a new job! Chin up, hon--you'll get thru this!
buliej--I second your wish! Will say lots of prayers for your wish to come true! *hugs*
Hannah--Glad you were able to take the day off for some time for you! Hope you feel better soon! Sending lots of anti-AF vibes your way!
AFM--My poor DS, we just got back from the dr. I think he has strep throat again--this will be 3 times in 1 1/2 months!! They took a culture, so I should know tomorrow, but I'm almost positive that's what it is-- he has the same exact symptoms as the last 2 times! :(
AF definitely being feisty this month... this will be WAY TMI :tmi: but I overflowed my tampon twice during the night! :o That's very heavy for me--especially when I'm laying down--usually it's lighter during the night. Grrr! I think we should all :protest:
Krystie--I sure do miss you Pill Girl! *hugs* Seems like it's been forever since we've had a chat! Bellyrubs for you and little Chyan! *kiss*
-
Jen - Stupid b$%&$y AF! I'm sorry she is treating you so bad the witch! here's hoping she goes away soon and doesn't visit you again for 9 months
HannahD - Hope the headache is better today! I get them too, horrible things.
buliej - What a lovely wish, hoping that it comes true for you
Ruthie - your DH picks up work real soon! We were lucky, my DH did and it didn't put any stop to our TTC, you are not being selfish at all, I would have been devastated too.
plc - Yay for having a day set!
Toccara - Hi!
Hi to all you other lovely ladies out there too :)
AFM - Having some major pg symptoms today, but I had my second HCG injection last night. They have been so much worse this time around compared to last cycle - the things we do! Here's hoping that its not in vain, I'm pretty sure we won't get another chance this year now, I will probably go back onto the Pill to make sure the next AF doesn't arrive at a bad time ie Christmas Day  and start a new cycle early in the New Year. Will find out next Fri anyway when I see the FS again. Am so hoping that I won't need another cycle!
-
Hey luvlies!! sorry I have been off the radar lately, I've been so busy at work and have not had much time to post, am home today as I have an ear infection and its very very sore, last night I was busy googling what ear drops I could take in case I am pregnant again this month. Doc this morning was really good and gave me some antibiotics and some drops but man is it sore! Am on my TWW and hoping that this one will be 3rd time lucky! temps have been good and last two days have jumped up, maybe because Im sick or maybe because bub is in my tummy, here's hoping.
Ruthie - I'm sending you lots of positive vibes and prayers that your DH finds a job soon, damn enconomy, we've had quite a few laid off in the last few weeks, thank god I haven't had that come my way, but we are all on tenderhooks until this encomony gets going again.
Buliej- go for it, don't wait unless your emotionally or physically not ready yet to ttc, but I didn't wait, I probably should've one cycle but didn't and then had a chemical pg but we tried again this month as Megsmum said hellllooooo I ain't no spring chicken anymore and I want to get 2 bubs in before its too late.
Tam - just take a breather and relax and put this all in God's lap, he will take care of you and your bub, temps have nothing to do with whether you will m/c or not, so I tend to agree with AJC here, as long as your HCG levels keep rising appropriatley then you will be fine....and as my OB said to me he is not a fan of HCG levels, he'll do the first one and then if they seem right to him for the weeks I should be then he leaves it at that, when can you have your first ultrasound? that will def put you at ease.
Jen - not TMI I know exactly what you mean, and maybe go to a herbalist who may help with the blood flow my did years ago and it has never been as bad as it was? you don't suffer from endometriosis do you? hope your DH feels better soon, sending lots of get well vibes to your DH!
Hannah - also sending you lots of :stickyvibesgirl:
Jackjack - welcome, I hope your visit is short and it won't be long before your holding your little angel in your arms....lots of :bluedust:
plc - not long to wait now...goodluck!!! what a wonderful gift you will have to bring in 2009!
:hello: Toccara, MO3B, Hannah, princess, dutchy, joey, Krystie, Angel, Mollycat, Smi, and anyone else I've missed (so hard to remember everyone) your all in my thoughts and prayers, not sure when I'll be back to post, hmmm well since I'm off sick til Friday, maybe I'll see you all tommorrow :)
ciao ciao

Thanks for the GL and enthusiasm re my birth date :grouphug:
Mannie - just wanted to say that I have ear problems semi-regularly and they occurred during both pgs. The drops are fine and antibiotics would be fine for this early early stage. So just concentrate on the positive vibes for your little egg. Big hugs and :crossfingers:. Get well soon - i appreciate your pain - ouch!
-
thanks plc still in quite a lot of pain today, am literally eating the panadols every 3 hrs...can you tak nurofen? i was thinking of doing a pg test though its early days yet Im at 7dpo today so may not pick up any hcg yet. just so I have some peace of mind if I do take the nurofen. Have had some twinges down there and temp still up but don't wish to waste the test they are so expensive as it is...would rather wait til after AF is due. Advice ???? :(
-
Mannie, I was just reading the other day that there may be a link between non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, such as nurofen, and m/c, especially if taken around the time of conception. The evidence isn't irrefutable - experts are still disagreeing on whether or not there is actually a link - and more research is needed. I get tension headaches which panadol don't help but I suffered through it rather than risk taking ibuprofen. Its up to you, maybe talk with your GP. As I said, it isn't agreed that there is a link, but it seems to be possible. I'd be interested to know what others think.
I hope this helps and I hope you feel better soon.

Hey girlies.. someone sent this to me today and OMG.. I just HAD TO SHARE!!!
What Makes A Mother?
I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked "What makes a Mother?"
And then I heard Him say.
"A Mother has a baby,"
This we know is true;
I asked "But God can you be a Mother,
When your baby's not with you?"
"Yes, you can," He replied
With confidence in His voice
"I give many women babies,
When they leave, is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day.
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there's no need to stay."
"I just don't understand this God
I want my baby to be here."
He took a deep breath and cleared His throat,
And then I saw a tear.
"I wish that I could show you,
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child's smile,
With the other children and say...
'We go to Earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much,
I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom,
Who had so much love for me.
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much,
But I visit her every day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillow's where I lay
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek,
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don't be sad today,
I'm your baby and I'm here.'
"So you see my dear sweet ones,
your children are okay.
Your babies are born here in My home,
And this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with Me,
Until your lesson's through.
And on the day that you come home
they'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a Mother,
It's the feeling in your heart
it's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start
Though some on earth may not realize,
you are a Mother,
Until their time is done.
They'll be up here with Me one day
and know that you are the best one!"

Mannie - I would personally stay away from nurofen even if the GP said it was ok. I would stick to Panadol and Panadeine Forte is ok too. That's about it tho.
Ruthie - that poem is beautiful
-
Ruthie That was a lovely poem. Sorry to hear about your DH getting laid off at work. I hope he can find a even better job soon :comfort:
Mannie Sorry I cant help you with the nurofen question. I have heard though that panadol is the safest option. Good luck I hope the last week of your tww goes fast.
megsmum Sorry to hear that the injections are being tough on you this time. I hope that it means that you are pg so you are just feeling a double dose of pg symptoms. saying lots of  for you that you get your BFP.
Jen You make me laugh. Your still funny even when you have AF now that's spirit girl. I am def standing next to you with my little sign :protest:
Toccara Thank you for your thoughts they are much appreciated. How are you doing?
PLC Thank you hun for your words of wisdom they are very re assuring and help alot with my anxiety.
AJC I'm not offended I totally agree with you. I thought it was a terrible thing to say. Especially when I am already so worried. I asked my FS about my temps and he said he does not advise that I keep taking them or worry about them as they are irrelevant once you are pg. So he is the boss and I trust what he says.
buliej I hope you and everybody in this thread has your wish granted upon them. Goodluck sweetie.
AFM
Well last night I was freaking out. I had brown discharge which I had for about 5 days before each of my m/c. I called the nurse at my FS clinic and she said for me to come in the morning for a BT which I did. She called me today with the results and they were 3600 which is okay I think as I am approx 5 weeks. I have to go back in a weeks time for another BT if I dont miscarry before then.
The nurse mentioned that it may have been from the progesterone pessaries irritating my cervix. Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experince with these meds?
-
Tam - 'so far so good' (that was my motto) - you're doing really well. I had brown CM with this pg which freaked me out too but look - I've only got 9 weeks to go now! The brown CM came at 4.5wks, 5.5wks and 6.5wks. The first time it happened I went and saw OB who said the only thing that worried him about the discharge was that it worried me. hard for you but I still feel really positive for you. Big Big Hugs - it's a tough journey but the odds believe it or not really ARE on your side!!! Oh one other little thing I did during the early stages of this pg was listen to that Bob Marley song..... "Don't worry about a thing cause every little thing is gonna be alright". It became my mantra so now I'm going to use it as one of my labour songs - you will too!!!
Big Big Hugs to everyone else.
-
oh Ruthie that poem had me in tears....it was beautiful and so reassuring thankyou.
am staying away from nurofen as I also researched on the net about it and it can bring on m/c now it makes me think about my first m/c cause I remember taking naprogesic for a day or two as I thought I had my period but in fact it was just spotting from implantation..maybe the naprogesic brought the m/c on...well maybe not but I can't rule it out hey...
Anyway have asked DH to bring home panadine forte. thanks for your responses girls really appreciate it.
Tam - great numbers and see don't worry about them too much my OB is of the same opinion as your FS so try and enjoy this pregnancy am so happy for you...:)
-
Tam83- Thank you for your kind words. I am waiting to see my gynocologist as he said i have to wait 4 weeks from my d&c to go back to him. It's seems so long to me and I really just want some answers so the wait is hard. I really want to look into seeing a nutritionist and maybe accupuncture to help but just don't know where to start. As my hubby is having a hard time with this he doesn't know if he wants to keep trying because it's hurting him and doesn't want to go through the pain again.
Everybody else thankyou so much your kind words are a breath of fresh air for me.. thankyou
-
Hi Mannie,
Yes, I wuold definitely not take Nurofen. My sister in law is a pharmacist and I know when I had the worst migraine and thought I might be pg she said just to take panadol. I'm not even sure about panadiene forte, does that have ibuprofen or codeine in it? Anyway I think you are definitely doing the rigth thing staying away from the nurofen.
Hope you feel better soon. :)
Sorry, no time for persies tonight. I'm off to the movies with a girlfriend to see a romantic tear jerker!
Hi to everyone, Ruthie so sorry to hear about DH. I  things look up for you soon. :)
-
Hi Ladies,
Jackjack - Don't give up hope. I know it is hard, all of on this thread know how hard it is but you have to try and focus on the end result, a beautiful healthy baby for all of us! Brng on 2009!
Mannie - Hope the pain has subsided!
Ruthie - Once again I am so sorry about your DH. There is never a good time to lose your job but this is particulary bad timing for you both. I hope DH is successful in finding work soon so you can continue your TTC journey soon.
By the way - that was such a beautiful poem. Here you are going through such a tough time but you still make time to think of all of us. You are truly amazing!
Tam83 - I can only imagine how scared you must be but I agree with AJC, so far so good. So many of my friends had spotting or low temps throughout their pregnancy and it didn't mean anything. I even know a girl who had really low hormone levels on her BT and the Dr's warned she would probably m/c and she has just given birth to a healthy baby girl. As hard as it must be, don't lose hope. :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
Big hi to Jen, plc1805, HannahD, Megsmum, WTH, smi, buliej and anyone else I have missed.
AFM - So just got home from the movies and put my temp in FF and apparently I ovulated on day 13 :wtf: We timed it quite well this month though and my chances are high (according to FF) so hopefully........
I usually always ovulate on day 17 or 18 but I thought I was going to ovualte earlier this month as I had really sore bbs and cramps (I even POAS when I had had AF!).
I am a bit confused about the BT I am supposed to go for on day 22 as I told the FS my ovulation days were 17 or 18 and now apparently I have ovulated like 4 days earlier. Does anyone know if this make a difference? The BT is to confirm I am definitely ovulating.
Still going to :bd: though just in case!
Sorry, wish I could write more persies but I am so tired. Got our work christmas dinner tomorrow night so need to catch up on my beauty sleep!
Doesn't seem to be anyone around tonight anyway?
Best of luck to everyone.
-
Hey hey sorry but been MIA for the last few days. I've been doing yucky night shifts all week so don't know whether I'm coming or going lol
Mannie - just reading over your posts, I'm glad that you've decided against the nurofen. Echoing what Mel said, my dad was also a pharmacist and basically said all I could take when I was pg was panadol. Sending lots of :pink-babydust: - hoping there is a nice BFP waiting for you in a couple of days
Tam - bigs hugs to you sweetie. That hcg sounds great for about 5w. As for the spotting, 1st trimester bleeding is really common and I am so glad that your OB is reassuring you so much. Though, I know if I was in your shoes I would feel the same way after our experiences
PLC - thanks hun, I am feeling quite a bit more positive now about the whole starting ttc again thing. I went to my naturopath yesterday and she was so good and reassuring. She really seems to care more than my own dr and made me up a rescue remedy custom-made for me and my paranoia!!!!!!! I swing from being really scared to really excited - right now I can't wait to get going again!
Ruthie - oh sweetie you are having such a rough time, the old saying it never rains, it pours is so true for you right now. I really really hope your DH gets another job again quickly  so that we can be 2009 belly buddies together. I love the poems that you post, they are so beautiful and always manage to bring a tear to my eye
Mel - if you are sure that you o-ed CD13, maybe split the difference and get your bt CD20? At least that way, your progesterone would still definitely say if you'd o-ed or not but from what you've said, sounds pretty promising.
I had all these things I wanted to post but I have forgotten them all so sorry for such a lame attempt at personals. Nothing much happening here but a big hi to Jen, Hannah, Megsmum and all you other lovely ladies out there
-
Melissal - :hello: Night shifts, uggghhhh...
Mel - I would get the BT done 7 or 8 days after you Oed. If you get it done much later than that, it will be dropping and may indicate that you didn't O - been there done that  Good luck!
jackjack - for you and your DH. It is so hard on the blokes, I know my DH struggled after mine too :( I hope the 4 weeks flies by - the waiting to try again sucks too I know - and you get some answers.
Mannie - I'd steer away from the Nurofen too. I'm pretty sure Panadeine Forte is OK to take though, I had a sinus infection when pg with DD and my ob said it was OK to take if I needed it. I must admit I didn't though, personally I'd put up a bit of pain and just take some Panadol, but that's just me ;) Hope you are feeling better soon!
Tam - the discharge is nothing, those BT results sound good! All the best for your next one. I haven't heard anything about the pessaries irritating your cervix, but that doesn't mean its not possible.
Ruthie - Lovely poem :)
Hi to plc, AJC, HannahD and anyone else that I have missed!
AFM - still plodding along, I have my last HCG injection tonight. DH is getting edgy though, he asked me last night if there was any way we could find out earlier than my BT next Fri! Not much point testing until about 6 days after the last injection though, which is Thurs  Only 7 sleeps until I know now, or maybe less if AF shows up first - I hope not...
-
For Tam...
I had brown discharge AND bleeding at week 5,6,7... I then had MAJOR bleeding at week 11. I am now nearly 16 weeks pregnant and praying to all the gods and anyone willing to listen not to let me bleed again. Hope you are ok
Rach

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but my damn stupid internet has been down! Grrrr! Only have dial up for the time being too, so this won be a super long one. I just wanted to let you all know that my anatomy scan went perfectly the other day. The best anniversary present ever!! We found out we're having another little girl. We couldn't be happier. They said my bp was a tad high, but didn't seem too concerned. I'm just happy our little girl is growing wonderfully!!
To all of you who have had the dreaded witch arrive, I'll try pulling out my Hulk styles, but they don't seem to be having the desired effect at the moment!!
To all of you who have just joined us, I'm so sorry, but you will find so much love and support here!!

-
OHHHH RUTHIE - I really don't know what to say. Pls look after urself and rest up. Things have just got to turn around for you in '09.
-
Just wanted to say, Ruthie  Hope you get better soon.
-
I'm praying for you Ruthie...things can only get better from here! :)
-
Ruthie - Thanks for the beautiful poem. I'm so sorry you're unwell. Things have just got to look up for you soon. Rest up sweetie.
Tam - Those levels look great. I don't have any experience with pessaries, but I have heard that irritation of the cervix can cause a brown discharge which is nothing to worry about. :stickyvibesboy: A friend of mine had bleeding right through her pregnancy and was even told at 11 weeks that she had miscarried. Her daughter is now 2 years old.
megsmum - Sending you lots of :SAAF:
tutmae - Yay for a perfect little girl.
:hello: and  to jen, melissa, mel, jackjack, mannie, plc, ajc and anyone I have missed.
AFM - My me-day on Wednesday turned out to be 3 days off work with a stomach bug on top of headaches. DH has it too and came home from work early today. At least we get to spend a friday night together (he usually works afternoon shift and gets off work at 11pm). Have a great weekend ladies.
-
Ruthie
I have been needing to cry my eyes out since I started this whole TTC journey, and your poem is one that I will remember for ever, so sad yet so comforting. If you can do that for me, and I am worlds away in Aus, I know good things will come your way, and 2009 will be a wonderful year for you.. :comfort:
-
Gosh its quiet in here today!!!!
Ruthie - just wanting to send you a big hug and wish you a speedy recovery. Oh well hun, at least 2009 has GOTTA be better than 2008
I have a crummy UTI that I just can't seem to shake. I dunno, I had never had one in my life and this is my third one for the year :o. Its so annoying, DH and I took stuff for 6 weeks to wipe out the bad bacteria and replace it with good, now I need stupid antibiotics which will mean all the good it did will be wasted - GRRRR!!! Anyway, enough whining. Huge hi to everyone and hope you all have a great weekend
-
So sorry I haven't posted.... been so busy... still don't have time for persies, though! Just wanted to tell you all that you're all in my thoughts and  Lots of love to you all! :grouphug:
Ruthie--Aww, hon.... that poem had me :crying: So sorry for your run of bad luck this year....
Will be back later for persies!
-
:grouphug:
tutmae: Darn AF! I hope she doesn't stay long and you can TTC again. My best wishes going yoru way always.
Plc, megsmum, Mannie, Hannah, wouldloveabubba, MelissaL, Jen. : Thank you girlies. I'm feeling a bit sore still on the back (where my kidneys are) When I arrived to the ER I just had crippling abdominal and lower back pain.. since they didn't know the cause at first the first thing that popped their minds was an ectopic.. even though in my mind I was like HEH.. me pregnant??..impossible.. and they went ahead anyways cuz they needed to see both my reproductive organs and the surrounding organs to know why I had the pain.. (the was before the urine sample lab was done)
Well they determined it was not an ectopic... the nurse asked when was my LMP I said May 21st 2008 and that I was preggo and I m/c on Sept 11th.. I asked her is there anything that indicates that I will get my period soon??.. know what she said??.. "well your uterus is clean of lining..so for now it doesn't seem like you will get one anytime soon).. I'm like WTF??.. are you serious??.. since Sept 12th (my D&C) I have NO LINING IN MY UTERUS??.. GREAT!.. Just GREAT!... I see TTCing will be even harder next time around.
Anywho... When I was wheeled back to the ER room.. my urine sample lab returned and there was blood in my urine.. and all pointed to a kidney stone.. after one more thing they did.. yep.. there it was... a small stone. (eww I saw it)
So now I'm taking antibiotics cuz everything in there is sore from the scratching of the stupid stone (which caused the blood to appear in the pee)
Hopefully things will get better.. they gave me good meds. Ihave to drink ZERO soda (I'm a soda FREAK).. and lots of water and fluids.
Well that was it for that.. about my husband, he still has not found a job yet, he has been all over the place applying..
Hopefully the unemployment checks and food stamps will help us out a bit.
Thank you all so much for having me in mind.. all your hugs I felt them as if each and every one of you was here giving those to me.
Thank you.
I just want good news to come.. I'm weary already.. I see that my Due Date approaches (April 2nd 2009) and for the looks of it.. I won't be preggo by then.. so that will be one tough day to go by. But again.. I hang on.. to that ray of hope.. that even if my baby is born in 2010... I just hope that at least by the summertime I'm preggo next year.
Love you girls.
Thank you so much for thinking of me.
Ruthie

tutmae - i didn;t congratulate u on ur girl - well done sweetheart!

To all my wonderful buddies here
It has been a draining and difficult week, but somehow we managed to get one embryo to blast, successful biopsy and transfer yesterday. A perfectly beautiful one (95%-assured) free of eight chromosonal problems. If this little one takes, we might actually get there and have our dream sibling for DD.
So that's where I've been. Hoping to catch up on persies soon
WTH
xx
-
WTH - all sounds good so far - sticky vibes!
Ruthie - sorry you are having such a bad run...hope you feel better soon. did they give you any reasons as to why you wouldn't have a lining?
hi to everyone else..
-
Melissa - I hope you feel better soon.
Ruthie - Thinking of you.
WTH - that its a sticky one. :stickyvibesgirl:

Time for a new thread and a fresh start, ladies. Here you go.
