Hello Ladies..sorry I dont get on here very often. I am currently TTC as AF came a couple days ago. I am excited to get pregnant but scared of facing a 3rd miscarriage. I don't feel like talking to anyone in my family about it because I feel they would convince me to not try. I want a baby so bad...but I am so scared of miscarrying again. I almost know for a face I will get pregnant..I just hope I can keep it...
-
Hey guys, Sorry I haven't responded - thank you so much for your kindness, it really means a lot. It's not that my friends don't understand, it's just that they're at a different stage now. I found out last night another friend is pregnant, so now that's 5 friends with due dates around our angel baby's EDD. That bit sucks, the fact that they're pregnant is wonderful.
MummyDeb, I hope your love fest was fun - and you've given yourself a good chance this month :)
Shan - I hope you get some light on what's been going on soon, the gout bit sucks though.
Tascha - thanks so much :)
Jess - you will be a Mum, I'm sure of it. If you want to keep trying that's entirely up to you and DH. My cousin had a DD with cancer (she's ok now), a stillborn, 16,14 and 10 week losses, all unexplained, and in 2010 delivered a beautiful, much loved, gorgeous DS. She is my inspiration, try to stay positive, enjoy your beautiful little girl, the rest will happen! Thinking of you.
It's nice to know you're not alone isn't it!
-
Jess it will happen sweets you will have a healthy bubba! Like all of us! I love how supportive everyone is in here and on the bb forum. I hope that never changes. Xxx

Hi Gals,
Welcome to Wannabemum & hi to everyone else!
Not a lot to say but wanted to touch base & see how everyone is travelling.
I am due for af mid next week & at this stage I am pretty sure I will be seeing her :(
We all have to live with the hope that our healthy bubbas are just around the corner & we just have to hang in there until that time.
My bf is due to give birth this week. My first m/c happended when I was 12wks pg & she was 10 wks & then my 2nd m/c happened at 12 wks for me
while she was 3 months pg with the baby she is about to have. We all struggle with this kind if thing but that's what makes us stronger & will make us all the
more thankful when we get our BFP & beautiful bundles.
BBL girls - hope all are well x
-
hi everyone, welcome to the new ladies, hope your stay here is short, sorry for your losses...afm-still having blood tests, waiting for my hormone levels to co-operate,so i can try a frozen embryo transfer..
-
Hi ladies, Happy monday lol well after dinner im off to the gp to get pills for AF and my script for pain patches. Again not seeing my gp as im at school all week and am getting inpatient for af to arrive! Plus i need my pain meds for my knee.
I guess as someone said, the more struggles we have with getting a BFP the more we will cherish our healthy beautiful baby :)
Iv been also feeling quite down my body isnt doing what its ment to, i feel sometimes im failing my hubby
-
shan85-hope you get your meds okay,i've heard the ones to bring on af are pretty fast working.Your not letting dh down, your doing all you can do...
-
Thanks mm, well going to the gp failed last night as underbelly was on lol so off tonight after dinner... They work very well so fingers crossed

Hi ladies
I am new on here, we lost our baby four weeks ago- a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks, the baby had stopped growing at 7 and a half weeks
We want to try again, and have been since about a week after my D&C. I couldn't help myself and POAS Monday, but :bfn:. Sorta to be expected, got no idea really what my cycle is, just thought we might get a lucky break.
Can totally relate to you Wannabe Mum, sounds like our babies were due around the same time. One of my GF's just found out she's UTD- 5 weeks ago I was telling her to have faith that she would fall pregnant, as they had been trying for awhile- now the situation is reversed, unbelievable how quickly things can change :crying:
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself- I find myself addicted to this forum atm- it really does help to hear people's stories and know you're not alone- and it gives hope when you hear about good news :D
-
Welcome gypsy! I hope your stay here is short and full of good support. Give yourself a bit more time, I don't think the cycle seems to get straight back to normal, it might be a while for this one - do you know if/when you've O'd yet?
I remember feeling guilty telling one of my friends I was utd, she's lost 3 ectopic babies (1 before her DS, two since) and was struggling with finding out another one of our friends was pg (via facebook of all things - I mean don't you TELL your close friends?), and now she's 9 weeks pg - found out she was pg just after we lost the baby, so she felt guilty too. I think we just all have to stay happy for each other and know it will happen for us all in time.
Anyway... Shan - did you get to the GP yet? Any AF?
Matthew's Mum - I hope your hormones get themselves together so your FET goes absolutely perfectly.
Mummytotwo - the timing for you and your bestie could have been better hey? At least you can have a beautiful baby snuggle - I love a baby snuggle when I'm feeling empty of baby.
Spreading lots of :bluedust::pink-babydust:and:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
-
hi all, gypsy-sorry for your loss,my loss was a missed miscarriage as well.Hope you get another bfp soon...wannabemum-thanks,my transfer day is sunday, hope little embryo survives the thaw, but i'm on to the next step ,so that is good...pregnancy announcements are hard, your happy for them but that doesn't take away the sadness you feel for yourself & your bubs & that is totally understandable.
-
Thanks all! yeah, I knew my cycle was probably still all over the place- but hope and longing are amazing things :D
I am so very happy for my friend who is pregnant- but almost subsonsciously the grief about what could've been takes over. That's not to say I would wish anything different, just acknowledging the feelings as they come i suppose..... I've also been on the other end of the spectrum- expecting my DD when others around me were struggling with IVF, so I do consider myself lucky to at least have a beautiful and healthy girl :D A great book by Zoe Taylor called "Pregnancy Loss" (aussie author, written because of her own miscarriages), has this great quote in it by her obstetrician. Zoe had a miscarriage, a daughter from her second pregnancy, but then two more miscarriages whilst trying for her second baby. The OB/GYN told her "we will try and figure out what is happening for you, and if there is anything we can do to help you have a second child. But, as it stands, your worst case scenario is that you have a healthy daughter".
That stood out to me, and has helped me get through the last month, 'cause I still have this amazing girl.
I am humbled by the different stories out there, and feel grateful for what I have, and send lots of :pink-babydust: to all fellow TTC'ers
:D

Hi Gypsy, sorry to hear about ur loss but welcome.
Nothing much happening, FINALLY got to my gp today, he said clomid can induce AF?? has anyone heard this? He said his not too sure about a tablet that can induce AF so im going to call my Gyno tomorrow and see if he can write me a script. Has anyone had a tablet to induce AF??
As much as its ok AF isnt around all the time, oh how I wish she would come ontime and not stuff me around. I know Im not UTD and iv got my clomid waiting in my medicine cupboard so I just want to start again.
Thanks
-
shan85-i've been on clomid, and dr said had to wait for af to arrive, you need to take clomid on certain days of cycle(usually around day 4 or 5 to day 9 or 10)he said their was a tablet you could take that would bring her on fairly quickly(sorry i can't remember the name) . Don't see how clomid could bring af on .Good luck with gyno tomorrow...gypsy-thanks for the quote...
-
Yep, thanks Gypsy - we've said the same thing, even if we never have another child, we are 100% blessed.
Shan, my fertility specialist gave me a different drug to induce AF, then I started the clomid after it had arrived. If you want a more natural approach, my naturopath induced my AF after breastfeeding (it just didn't come back) using herbs - it's a fair way for you to find her (she's in Ashburton, SE suburbs, near Chadstone), but she has a background as an IVF nurse too. Not sure if you've already tried a naturopath, but it's worth a go. I did 4 clomid cycles, then while we were on a Christmas break went to see her and we conceived DS before we even started IUI! After BF, we got PG first cycle with her. I'm going back to see her Saturday :-) PM me if you'd like her details. She may be able to recommend someone closer to you anyway.
-
i went to the health shop locally about a month ago and got womens balance which brought it on in the first place but its not back yet so iv upped the dose to 2 tablets a day. Id much rather get it naturally than having to take medications so to speak. Im hoping by next week she is back
-
fingers crossed. From memory, the naturopath put me on Chaste Tree (Vitex) to regulate my cycle, and also to bring it on. I think I was taking 1 from days 1-14, then 2 for the rest. Hopefully she comes to visit soon so you can get on with the clomid cycle!

Hello Ladies,
Sorry Im not very chatty in here..
And now for the selfish post... please feel free to ignore it!
Today is my lil man's 1st Birthday. How fast has this year gone.. but i feel a lil sad at the same time.. cause today its 2 months since I lost his younger sibling.
Bring on the birthday cake!!
Hugs ladies... looking forward to seeing some good news here soon.
-
morning everyone, tascha-hope you manage to have some nice moments through the tears.I find special occasions hard since losing Matthew, there is always someone missing, but we try to manage through it for the ones who are there. It helps me to think of them being there ,just in a different way.hugs...
-
Welcome Gypsy - I know your story well - sad that any of us have to know it. Sorry about your bfn but hopefully there is a bfp not far off for you. I found BB after my 1st m/c & it was an absolute lifesaver so know what you mean.....
Shan - I have never heard of Clomid bringing on af - I'd say that is a mistake for sure. Google it....I've heard lots of women rave about Vitex for regulatig their af's so maybe give that a go - good luck :)
Hi WannabeMum - how are things with you at the mo?
Tascha - hope your lil DS had a fab bday, you had lots of cake & you got through the day ok - hugs.
MM - yep our little angel babies are forever missed even when we are blessed with other children. Are you starting IUI or something soon? Have read all the posts but my memories a shocker :)
Anyway - hi to anyone I've missed - just wanted to stick my head in since it's been a bit quite in here lately.
BBL xxxx
-
It has been a bit quiet! Hope that means we're all getting on with the business of procuring a BFP!!
Mummytotwo, I'm just sitting around on CD3, waiting another 3+ weeks for an opportunity to make a baby :) in the meantime concentrating on trying to lose some weight. Off to the naturopath today (pick up some vitex), hope she works some more miracles.
MM - good luck for your FET tomorrow - hope you're getting lots of relaxing in, :crossfingers: for you! :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
Shan - any luck with AF?
Tascha - I hope you enjoyed your little guy's first birthday, it's a big day even without what you were going through. Hope they kept you busy and that you got through the day ok.
Gypsy - how are you going at the moment? Hope all is well.

Just thought Id pop my head in here. Currently dealing with my 5th miscarriage. I am extremely lucky to have been blessed with 3 beautiful boys but we would like more and it just does not seem to be happening. I had my first m/c before baby #1, then lost his twin at around 6-7wks. Then another m/c when baby #1 was 4mths old then finally clomid saw us get a sticky BFP and baby #2 arrived. We decided we may as well have one more and get it all over with so we were going to find a fert specialist after we made our big move from Albury to Townsville when baby #2 was 5mths old but we got the shock of our lives when I arrived up there pregnant.
Fast forward to now, Dh and I after many discussion decided four was our magic number. It never occured to me that our problems of the past would come back but unfortunately they have. I fell pregnant in Aug but ended up with a d&c for missed miscarriage in October. Just last month I got a BFP but unfortunately Ive started bleeding today after a worrying series of bHCG results.
Has anyone in here had any testing done relating to miscarriages??
-
Freya - this totally sucks for you sweetie & I am no help re: testing after miscarriages as they don't do this after only 2.
I think you deserve some answers now though esp if you decide to give bubba no. 4 another go.
Anyway, big hugs to you at this time - hope you get through it ok xxxx
Hi to everyone else - bbl for everyone elses news :)
-
Oh Freya I'm so sorry this is happening to you again :( Its just not fair, I have only had the one m/c so don't know much about testing either but I hope someone can help you out. I hope that next time you get a BFP that its a sticky one, you deserve your 4th child!
AFM Testing day or AF due today... So nervous, keep going to the loo just to check...did my temp this morning just to see what it was and was 37.9, was like woah thats high, but we did have a few drinks cos I was sure AF was coming....so have no idea if its that high cos of drinking...although in the past my drinking has never affected my temps... So will just wait and see... Going to try wait it out a few days before testing...I know I must be crazy, I just will be disapointed if its a BFN...This is my 2nd cycle and going onto my 3rd so hoping for some good news!
Hope everyone else is going well... Big hugs and hoping to hear of some more BFP!! xoxox:bluedust:
-
Freya, so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, what a horrible experience. You're right, you are so lucky to have your beautiful boys! I think there is a thread about testing following multiple miscarriages, it might be helpful, I'm no help, I've "only" had one. I hope you quickly have a sticky pregnancy and can get to your magical number of 4 beautiful kids!
MummyDeb! You're amazing, I would have POAS a couple of days ago... if not a few times by now. If your normal luteal is 13 days, go for it - POAS tomorrow, and hopefully there'll be a :bfp: there for you! (and us to live vicariously through) Sending you :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
-
Morning Ladies - Happy Valentines Day to alll!!!!
Now.....selfish post alert!!!!!!!
It seems I can now add chemical pregnancy / early m/c to my list of credits....
Friday I had a faint BFP, Sat a + on a digital pg test & another faint + yesterday.
The fact that they were faint & my a/f was approx 3-4 days overdue was worrying me I must say.
So I wasn't hugely suprised (but still devo'd nonetheless) when af arrived this morning :(
****, ****, ****!!!!!!
I hope this month is kinder to everyone else in this thread but back to the drawing board for me.....
-
Oh hun im so sorry :(
I tested this morning, wish I hadn't now cos was a BFN...still no AF...so guess will just wait for her arrival... a lil late this month grrr... hopefully when we move next month into our new home we can get a nice BFP...must say I've been stressed with selling our house...now its sold, just gotta get thru packing and moving then hopefully will be right...I know I can fall pregnant and have babies...just gotta stay positive!
Hope everyone else is good, and still hoping to hear more BFP :)
-
mummytotwo-sorry the bleeding started...wannebemum-thanks..mummydeb-sorry it was a 1 liner...freya-sorry for your losses,i've heard dr's don't usually test until 3 consecutive losses,i think a lot of the time we have to initiate in asking for them.I had some done, they were blood tests.hope your next bfp is able to stay..afm-transfer of 1 frozen embie was yesterday, hope this one is strong enough to make it.Having acupuncture this time around to try to improve my chances...
-
Oh, I feel awful for the BFN MummyDeb - perhaps you ovulated later than you think? Mummytotwo I'm so sorry about another loss, but as MummyDeb said, you know you can both have babies, so there will be another BFP in your future.
MatthewsMum - seriously :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: coming at you - Good luck, when do they set testing date for you? I'm assuming it's a BT and it's all scheduled.
-
MM - hope the transfer went well & good luck for this cycle. Fingers xd for a hppy outcome for you!!
MummyDeb - isn't it a sinking feeling when you test & see that bfn - then you wish you hadn't. Been there, done that but fingers still xd for you anyway x
Wannabemum - yep know my body can do it but wonder how the age things affects things now I'm almost 36yo? How are things with you anyway????
Breaking my Monday night rules & having some wine tonight. Hope all are well x
-
Thanks girls...it sure is a sinking feeling :( but AF still isnt here so not over yet...but if I'm not UTD I just wish she would come so i can get it over with and try again!! At least I still enjoy BDing so its not a horrible thing to go thru!
I posted in the testing section about the possibility of getting a BFP after a BFN after AF is due... hope that makes sense lol!!!
-
lol MummyDeb, it does make sense. I was hoping that last cycle - but it obviously didn't happen! How many DPO again now?
Mummytotwo - 36 isn't old! Tell me it's not, I'd like to have 3 and I'm nearly 32! If #2 doesn't come along post haste I'll be your age having #3. Time's not up yet chick, it'll happen.
AFM, I'm having some wine tonight too, being CD5, I certainly know I'm not pregnant, so why not enjoy it. Valentine's day alone on the couch with a glass of red and Glee. I ordered some opks today so am adding yet another scientific step to this TTC business. Went to the naturopath on Saturday and am back on a paleo diet and have some cycle regulating herbs. I'm off to see an acupuncturist soon too so hopefully that helps with the back and neck pain that are a legacy of nursing and horseriding! Still got a lotta days before O, so I'm in the holding pattern phase of my cycle.
-
Time for a new thread everyone. I hope the coming weeks bring good news
