I didn't win either! My temp dropped (which I wouldn't have thought would happen until at least tomorrow if AF is coming!) and I nearly didn't test at all. But I finally caved but it was a BFN. I've got some cramping too, but not sure if it's gas...
EDIT: Just wanted to add 3 things:
Tina & Joey - Your temps are still looking really nice and high!
Also, I took my temp an hour after my first (low) temp this morning and it was more than half a degree higher! Weird. I used the first temp taken at the normal time though.
Sounds like the 'p' off has started maybe a bit early. Am sure those single lines will turn into double lines soon..... :pray:

mollycat - we are telling our parents tonight, both our parents coming for dinner. I think there will be lots of tears from the grandma's to be & the poppy's will be excited too. We'll call my sister & her DH and tell them & also DH's sister & her DH too - that sounded a bit confusing. Will tell close friends over the next week but are waiting to announce it to the world at 16 weeks. After then it might be obvious when my tum starts to pop out.
I come from a very large extended family (I'm the second youngest of all of my cousins) who quite often put their two bobs worth in without thinking. A few of them have played up a bit before and it's always when there is a wedding or baby or big family event. Sometimes they just don't know how to be happy for other people, and without knowing our ttc journey wasn't easy there may be some insensitive comments. I'm hoping I'm wrong but who knows - you know what they say, 'you can choose your friends'. There is my rant for the day!
It's only the beginning of the day ladies - am sure we'll see some BFP's before the weekend is out.

P.S. - temps usually rise after you have woken, thus your temp going up an hour later. That's why they tell you to use your first waking temp as this is your lowest (resting temp). Temps beyond this time are invalid as you begin to wake up, your heart rate increases thus rising your temp. I hope that makes sense???
toccara - Im so sorry about the late af, its absolutely not fair when that happens :(. Not only is she not welcome in the first place, but she has the balls to turn up LATE...How rude! Sending you GL for next cycle hun.

AFM - Not much to report, still feel the same, bb's have been very sore for about 3 weeks now....not normal, they hurt even before ov time, so I dont know whats going on there! Me and DH didnt try this month, I dont think we have even bd very much. Certainly not very much before the bb's started hurting so Im pretty sure we havent got it this month. I feel like I have been carrying around throbbing watermelons on my chest for 3 weeks now, and probably all for nothing....thats a bit unfair dont you think???
Anyway, af is due next week, so we will see then. Ohhhhh the waiting, always waiting!!!!!

AFM - Well, had trouble getting to sleep last night because I was so excited about POAS in the morning. Woke up at midnight after having a dream that I was at my dad's and POAS there, and it was a BFN and then had to log on to BB and tell you all. When I was younger, whenever I had negative dreams, in real life the experience turned out to be positive. So I went back to sleep, thinking that I will get a BFP cause my dream was a BFN. All following??? So then I was waking every 30 mins or so, and really needed to pee, but gave myself a 4am deadline... just hold on till then. So 4am comes, I go POAS... BFN. :doh: So I go back to bed totally ****ed off, after putting the stick near the kettle, so DH will see it when he goes for his early morning coffee. I end up sleeping in till 9am (other than waking to take my temp at 6.45, as usual). At 9am I need to pee again, so I figure, I have a test, I can't just waste the pee! So I do another one. And I'm not sure if it's real, or not, but if you stand on one foot, and poke your tongue out, and hold the stick on just the right angle you can see the faintest, tinyest little 2nd line. So I dunno if that's just a manufacturing thing, it's there in the background ready to jump out when needed, or if it really is a teeny weeny bit of hCG. I'm really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really praying that it's the second option. So I go to the store and buy a different test, that says that you can test up to 5-7 days before your missed AF and you need 10 whatever the measurement is, in your system. So I think, "this will be better, sounds more sensitive, cause the other one doesn't advertise the level of whatever needed". So I get home and test with that one at 12.45pm, and nothing ... BFN! Grrr. So now I have to go and buy more of the original brand - cause I don't trust the other ones. And have another restless nights sleep until I can POAS tomorrow. I would be interested to hear at what DPO other girls have received their BFP's. I got mine at 10DPO last cycle, but if you look at that cycle on FF, perhaps I Oed earlier than they say??? So from 9am till 12.45pm I was in a pretty good mood, thinking I may very well be UTD, and now I've taken the second test, I've turned into the wicked witch of the west. Poor DD. I've locked myself in the office though while I am chatting to you girls, to save her from me.
So, testing again tomorrow. I really hope this stick knows what it's doing. I think the last one failed pee school!

No peeing on a stick for me tomorrow. AF reared her ugly head this afternoon at work. I don't really understand what's happened. Either I ovulated 2 days earlier than FF says, or AF came 2 days early. DH and I are pretty devastated about it this month because we were so sure that I was pregnant this month. I'm ready to find a nice little hole to climb into and cry. I think I just need to let myself be sad tonight, so that tomorrow on CD1 I can pick myself up and start again with a positive attitude. I think it's hitting me really hard because next wednesday I would have been 20 weeks pregnant, and I just wanted that baby so much it hurts. :(

Joey - the evening was great fun, just ended yucky. She lives on in the middle of nowhere, we were sitting talking and there was a sudden loud banging noise, like something got knocked over. Her dog was tied up - so it wasn't that. There's an old man who lives in a little cottage on their property but he is tucked up inside his cottage so we still don't know what it was, her mum and dad came over and drove around for a look see, but couldn't see anything, so she's now scared and jumpy, packed up and went to stay with her parents for the night and I came home. (I was going to stay the night too, but just didn't feel comfortable.) We've decided next time the boys all go away, we're going away too. These are the ones that own the house at the bay, so we'll head up there.

AFM - Well check out my chart :( my temp plummeted this morning, and I have a niggling feeling in my lower abdomen, almost but not quite , like pAF pain, so I think AF is on her way. For this reason I didn't even bother testing. Actually I'm not as upset as I thought I would be. The BFN upset me more yesterday morning when I first tested. I think because I was positive that I was UTD and it was such a huge shock. Perhaps I kind of expected not to be UTD today? I don't know, but at least I don't feel like my day is ruined, which is how I thought I would feel. I have a 1st birthday party for my GFs daughter today, so am glad I'm not feeling crappy.
But tell me ... how did I NOT fall preg? We BDed at just the right times?? And last time I fell, I didn't think we BDed at the right time and I did fall. I don't get it. It's obviously not that simple?? I just thought it was a matter of watching the signs and BDing at the right time. DH says that he's sending a GPS with them next month. :ROFL:

OK - so I'm not getting excited :excited: and I know that they say that you're not supposed to read the HPT's after 10 mins, but you know how I was saying that I got that more sensitive one from the chemist and I tested at 12.45pm?? Well it didn't have a line and 3mins, so I got the $hit$ and just put it back in it's packet - well it has a feint line this morning.
Here's an email I got from my BF this morning. She is TTC starting this month.. she has 2 kids and she conceives first time every time, including when she had 2 or 3 MC's. She sucks!!
I told her what I told you girls ... how I tested at 4am and again in the morning and then went to get more from the shops and then tested again ... she says ...
all that sounds SOOOOOOO familiar!! de ja vu! except i usually made Matt run out and get more tests!
the second test BFN might just be cos u hadnt stored up enough HCG again - that's why they say to test first thing in morning after 4 hrs sleep. also when u sleep ur body metabolises more. so u'd collect more hcg over 4 hrs sleep than 4 hrs awake. 'they' reckon not to read anything on the stick after 10 mins or so, but my earlier ones only became dark enough to make out after 10mins when the pee had dried off the stick. its easier to see the contrasting colours without the water reflecting the light and diliuting the colour. remember the first pics of ava's HPT i sent u? they were about a day old when i took the picture, so they were even fainter straight after POAS. the were so faint that Matt was sure he COULDNT see anything on them. bring it/them over, and i'll use my eagle eyes to check it out. i'm like the HPT stick whisperer! :P
from memory, u definately o'd earlier last time cos otherwise u couldnt have gotten preg cos u said u didnt BD around the time FF said u o'd? so how many DPO would u have been if it was the earlier o date?

AJC - It was very spooky last night. She spooks really easy, that's why I was out there, I was going to stay the night cause she hates staying there alone. Although when I went to bed, I had no problems, slept all night which is surprising after hearing strange noises. Glad all the grannies and poppies were excited for you. Watch how fast it goes now (at least until the 8th month and that will drag)

AF is being so mean to me I wish she would pack up leave early so I can get back to bd'ing !!! Lol I am trying to atleast get pg in time to have a nov or dec 09 baby !!! AFM - I have been having AF type pains already right in the lower pelvic area particularly on the left... I even checked a few times thinking it had arrived, it hasn't though.. I have never had a short cycle... could it be implantation?? According to my chart - please stalk away I am now 6 DPO (i think personally I am more like 7-8 DPO).
BB are still very sore too... I refuse to start over analysing this though

joey - Going to tell the extended family @ 16 wks. I will let Mum call her 4 sisters & then it will filter through. Dad will call his bro & 2 sis's too & will also filter through their families. Or I could just tell my Nan first and guarantee everyone will know within the day! She's so funny, she loves spreading family news. MIL will spread the news on DH's side - she's one of 7 so lots of ppl to get around on that side too. Anxious to hear what your friend says about the p stick.
Easha - I remember having af type cramps at 9dpo with this bub. I also had major stomach cramps after I had eaten a huge lunch that same day. Hard not to read into things but if it creates positive thoughts then go for it.
Went & saw Mamma Mia today - was awesome. A really fun feel good movie.
