Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage or Loss ~ June/July 2006

Awww Jayney - you are so sweet to think of me when you head off the the ark. I am so hoping for a great result for you (and me too!!) How many do you think we can drag with us?!?!? There has to be the Michelle's - you'd get confused without us - but that leaves a few arms free and about 6 legs at least. Who's with us - Lisa, Naomi (NIc - you're already there so we can just follow on your tail) Moglie (although you are sounding suspiciously like you are there as well)?? Kirsty - you too when you're ready (soon I hope) Did I miss anyone that wants to come along too (sorry if I did!!)

Me - DTD as much as possible during a busy and stressful week. FIL is recovering well (and yes, I did read through the notes!!! Naughty girl that I am). Not much other news - just feeling REALLY hungry (like a hollow feeling in the tummy) but I had a big dinner so who knows what's going on. Just finished work so maybe that's the problem.

Kazz - you are amazing!! All those booties.You are a very special lady.

Great to see the tickers progressing so quickly for Nola, Meredith and Bec (and to have you dropping in).

Miss Jayne!!! I told you that you are pg!! Just have to learn to listen. Im praying for a nice strong 2nd line for you tomorrow!! And congrats on the weight loss missy - im trying to loose 10kg and its sooo hard.

Nic - you are in my thoughts girly and im praying so hard for a nice strong hb from that little cheeky one hiding in there!! We are all here for you and sending you loads of love and positive thoughts..

Naomi - pls use a hpt tomorrow. I know a couple of people who had same thing and were indeed pg. Fingers crossed that its a bfp. I dont have much experience with OPK's so cant really help there. Good luck with the trial tomorrow!!

Shell - Lisa is a name usually reserved for blondes!! I was a fair baby but hair darkened over time. Sounds like Jayne is taking you and Michelle outta here - hold on to her tightly my loves!

had a talk to my friend today and she went home and her and dh are currently talking things through - thank god!! I was suppose to work from home today but with my bf and her probs we just sat around chatting and watched a soppy bollywood movie. Now ive got dble workload tomorrow! But thats what friends are for!!

Naomi - I will say it once and I'll say it again *trying hard to do stern face*, march your butt to the doctors! PLEASE! You must be beside yourself with anticipation by now. Go straight to the doc and get some BT's run. At least then you can put your mind at ease and get some straight answers. Remember you got loads of BFP's a week ago, that must count for something!

Michelle71 - Believe me, I have enough fat for EVERYBODY in this forum to grab a roll. PMSL. & I'm taking you all as prisoners. I won't accept anything less than ALL of you with me. I can't go by myself, I'm a safety in numbers type of gal!

Welllllllll, I did ANOTHER HPT and it's still showing a BFP. I'll still do another one tomorrow with FMU just to be doubly sure and I may even go and get one of the top shelf reputable brands tomorrow, just to put my mind at extra ease. I'm really feeling as if it's all too good to be true, DYKWIM?

I should go and get some sleep, I've had a busy day with Kindergym and house cleaning, etc....

I lost a baby girl about two months ago at 21 1/2 weeks, I would really like to start ttc but I am terrified that something will go wrong. My water broke at 20 1/2 weeks with no warning signs, my baby's heart did not stop until I went into labour one week later.
I'm scared the same thing will happen again.I have had a lot of tests done but everything has come back normal, I have two final tests scheduled, genetic testing and a sonogram to see if my uterus has a septum.

I miss my baby so much it hurts and I think about her everyday. How did you know you were ready to try again?

I'm so sorry to hear about your little girl. I think you will know in your heart when you are ready to TTC again.
We always started TTC again after a months break i found being pg again helped me through the pain.

Not much going on here ttc-wise, still have yucky brown CM, but AF is gone :) (i hope I didn't speak too soon!) I watched Cinderella Man yesterday... I enjoyed it a lot... I had tears when he had to ask for money :( poor bloke!

I have tears rolling down my cheeks.....I am so very happy for you and DH and little Jessica. I am not religious, but I am praying very hard for you to continue this fantastic HPT with lots more BFP's.

LOL at the shock of seeing the feint second line and needing a cuppa. I remember that feeling and I can tell you that my knees went weak and I could hardly stand when I saw that 2nd line!! Way to go honey, I am so very proud of you!

Hi all... just coming in with an update.

Unfortunately it is not good.

My gestational sac is measuring at more than a week behind, the fetal pole was very hard to get a shot of and the CRL that she managed to get was also a week behind and there was no heartbeat.

Lisa - Unfortunately there is little room for error as this was an assisted cycle. Ovulation was triggered and timed leaving no debate of conception (with the exception of perhaps 24 hours either way).

There is still a chance that it was just one of those things, measurements at this stage can be hard to keep accurate, but the sizes were too small and out of the +/-5 allowance that they give. It is very unlikely that there is any way to go but down.

Oh Nic I am so terribly sorry for what you are currently going through again, it is so heartbreaking that you are having to experience this again. Sending big hugs to you & please know we are here to support you whenever you need it.

Deb ~ I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your little girl,Ava. With my second son my waters broke at 18w5d with no warning & it seems no reason either, we did try again (almost 2yrs later) & unfortunately when I fell pg that didn't end well either ~ although this time it was a cord accident & a cruel freak of nature that saw our little boy pass away at 20wks. But we have just finished testing & have an appt with the FMU at the RWH at Melbourne before we can jump back on the TTC bandwagon ~ which I am so ready to do. It is hard to know when the right time to TTC after a loss is, but I can tell you that when you are 100% ready you will know that it is time for you to begin again & when you decide that time is right we will all be here to support you through your journey in whatever way we can. Sending you big hugs & please know we are here for you whenever you need some support.

Why do i have the sudden change of emotions?

Nic honey, I am so sorry and despite all my positive thinking you know in your heart what is going on. I really wish you could feel my big hug and how much I am really hurt for what is happening to you. Its just not fair. But dont give up hope matey, there will be light at the end of this dark tunnel and I just know that you will have a normal pg very very soon. *sigh* I wish had some words to make you feel better, as Kirsty said, we are all here for you.

Naomi - you are going to drive yourself mad..... do you feel pg?? Any symptoms other than the opk's?? I really think you should go to the gp and sort it out and get an answer once and for all. I know what you mean about being scared to be pg again. Although my heart breaks when I get a bfn each cycle, I am terrified that if and when I do fall that it will have a horrible ending like my first pg. Its only natural to feel that way, but I think you should maybe read through some of the success stories on this site, that always gives me hope and makes me more optimistic. I wish I had more advice, but know that we are all here for you whenever you need to vent or anything at all. BOL for tomorrow's trial, and pls go to the dr.

i dont know if i feel pg, yes i have symptoms and i find myself holding my belly, but how do i know what to feel, ive only had pg's that end in m/c and both times didnt know i was pg, i dont know how you are ment to feel iykwim

naomi - no probs love, I totally understand what you mean and I didnt take it in a bad way, but its obvious you are a little stressed. Why dont you relax, take a bath and light a candle and listen to some soothing music. it might help you unwind a little and prepare you for taking the hpt.

Im sorry you are going through this....and I know you are scared hun. And when I asked if you feel pg - I meant to say do you have any of the usual early signs (ie sore bbs, metal mouth, nausea). I didnt mean to imply that you should know what being pg feels like - coz I wouldnt either.

Have you decided when you will do the hpt? Just imagine that we are all there with you holding your hand as you do the test.

Im off now to say "bye bye house" to my childhood home, parents sold the house where i lived up until 2 yrs ago and its so full of memories, and my grandma lived with us there and she passed away 2 years go, so its going to be hard going there for the last time :crying:

Hi Everyone....i hope you don't mind me jumping into your little thread. I had a m/c 2 years ago and even though i often click into these m/c forums, i haven't had the guts to actually admit what has happened and think that i do infact have a reason to join you girls.

DH and i have been TTC#1 for just over 4 years and we were absolutley devestated (as you would all know) to lose our little angel after knowing for just a few weeks. We have spent the last 10 months on 'assisted conception' with 'unexplained' infertility, and it has really done my head in, so we are taking a break from all of that now, and are just going to TTC natuarally and see what happens. I'm not temping, using opk's, checking CM or anything, but as you know, it's a little hard to forget about it all completely....

My cycle at the moment is currently 5 weeks overdue for AF from a clomid cycle of 100mg, so not sure what is going on. Had a BT 5 weeks ago, which came back with a level of 2mg, and did a HPT about 3 weeks ago, also neg. I can only really put it down to not 'O'ing on the clomid and maybe catching an eggie in June, which in turn would make me about 1 week overdue for AF. I'm too scared to test, but know that i probably should. I was going to go and see my GP about having another BT but i keep putting it off......

Where do i start. I have tears streaming down my face right now. I was so very hopeful that this pg was going to be the one. After all the uplifting and positive vibes I was throwing at you I now feel like such a horrible COW!!. I know that no matter what is said you will still feel the same. I am so sorry to hear that things didnt go according to how you would have like (or us for that matter). No matter how many times people say well at least you can fall pg or it will happen one day, it still doesnt change the fact that that day has not come and that it is still not fullfilling your so much wanted dreams. I am really stuck for words right now on what to say so I will just say, You are in my thoughts and prayers, I would loved to have PM'd you but unfortunately you are unable to accept them. So I have had to post this publicly. You have been thru so much and dont deserve to go thru any more. So where to from here? Well I guess that is the big question on everyone's lips/minds right now. Who knows what is around the corner for any of us....but for you I am sure it will be a very special gift.

I really, really think you need to get yourself to the Doctors and get some bloods done. It will put your mind at rest and give you some solid answers. I'm soooooooo hoping that you are going to be announcing a BFP. Being that it's been such a tumultous ride this month, even if it's a BFN I hope you know that we are all here and holding your hand on the next month of TTC.

I'm terrified, just like we are all in this thread when we fall pg I suppose. It's going to happen for you. I know it is. Where exactly are you? ARen't you coming up to O time?

Moglie - I'm so sorry to hear that AF showed up. I was ready to put money on a double-eviction this month. You sound really positive and that's the main thing. I believe I saw a ticket with your name stamped on it for next month!

Shell - Aww shucks matey. I'm sooooooo taking you with me. I'll make that a promise! I'm not leaving without you. Maybe you should take some chastetree tablets. Seemed to work for me with Jessica & also this one! I would send you my bottle but they are almost gone.

Me - Well, I have done ANOTHER HPT (I do have 10 of them), & the line is getting darker and darker every single time. I have only told 3 gf's and you ladies. I won't be telling my family. I'm hoping to get to 12 weeks before telling them. Ideally I'd like to wait until SIL's wedding and put it in the card, but I'd be around 17 weeks then. I'm terrified. I want to be positive and think to the future but I don't want to get over-excited and set myself up for massive disappointments either. I have no symptoms other than tiredness but that's due to Jessica being up all night long coughing. She finally fell asleep at 5am! I'm exhausted. I'm very, very, very worried about the cold/flu tablets I took 2 weeks ago when I was flued up. I'm worried about every aspect of this pg to be totally honest. A big heartfelt thank you to you lovely women who have shown me so much support, encouragement and compassion. I really do love you all.
