Hi everyone,
I hope you are all really good, I have been missing you all like crazy, we have almost finished moving and just have a small amount of cleaning left to do, it is also hard to get on as we are staying with my mum and there are lots of computer lovers here LMAO so finding a time slot thats free is hard some times.
have had a very quick skim read of all the posts over the past couple of weeks and decided that there was no way I would be able to catch up on it all LOL, so will just try to keep up from here on out,
Shan I hope you get this job and that it is perfect for you and not stressful at all is sounds like they really want you, so that is great and you could always take it and still look for something else if its not what you want.
Lisa testing time is getting closer YAY I am praying for you every day that this is it, all is sounding really posative for you babe.
Mako I am glad to hear your DH is doing ok, hmmm I hope you get that BFP this month that would be so exciting
now what else can I remember, I am so sorry girls for the lack of personels.
me well I am doing wellstill dont have alot of symptoms just sore bb's and hightened smell and taste but thats it, maybe its because it has not really sink in as yet, it still feels a bit like a dream iukwim. I had a bt amost 2 weeks ago and my doctor said my levels were really good they were about 954 and I was aprox 5 weeks when the blood was taken. I have my first appointment on the 15th of December at 9:30 am so will let you know how that goes. well I have a big night tonight as I am going to see Kylie WOOHOO cant wait it should be so fab.

Thanks Amy & Michelle...
Michelle - im praying I can join you soon and I noticed paml is a bit low on members. I sure hope ALL of the girls can move over too. We need some bfp's in here - its been a while. Hope your well and good luck for your scan on Monday. I know everything will be fine and little alf is snuggled in for the long haul!
Anyone heard from Megan?? Megan honey - I hope all is well, thinking of you sweets.
who asked me what an NP is? Its a naturopath sweety.
tanya - in aswer to your q about why i dont feel so good, i dunno really i think its just the fact that i dont want a huge let down, so best to be neutral about it YKWIM? If im all hyped and nothing happens then ill be gutted, this way I can better deal with whatever happens at the end of next week. Yay on being in the TWW!!
hi to everyone else :)
-
Thanks Mako!! I hope AF stays away for you!!
Lou - good luck with the move!!
Amym - enjoy Kylie - how awesome!!! Looking forward to hearing all about it!!
-
Just sprinkling some :bluedust: around for you girls!
Lisa, only 8 days to go YAY! I too stalk you every day, checking on your progress. You certainly have a following! I have everything crossed for you that you see two big fat lines staring up at you next Saturday! We just need Lou to join the party and then they'd better watch out at FPH LOL! Are you seeing Antonia again soon? Has work calmed down now the election is over? Good on you going to the rally, was it huge? for you hun.
Shan. what's going on with the job? Good luck, I hope you can work it out to your advantage!
-
Thanks Sez. Im praying for me and Lou to rock PAML and FPH together. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know how much you gals care for me and want to see me with my very own bfp.
I just had a realisation though - im due for testing on Saturday which is the anniversary of my first loss...mmmm... not sure how a bfn and angels passing is going to go. But on the bright side I do have a wedding on that afternoon so if its a bfn I get to drink the night away LOL!
-
And a couple of glasses of vino will make it ALL better :D Personally, I would rather you weren't allowed to drink ..........
-
I'm with you Michelle ;) , but if needed, alcohol always does the trick!
Maybe the date is a sign Lisa? I'm a big believer in signs!
-
Yes it would be nice not to be allowed to drink ladies! Sez I sure hope that its a 'sign' and it would be a nice gift from my two little angels playing up in heaven.
Michelle - sendings you loads of hugs and cant wait to hear all about little *alf's* wonderful progress on Monday.
Take care my gorgeous ttc and pg friends and have a great weekend,
Hope you all get to have your legs up in the air over the weekend as we need some serious bfp's in here :D

Hi guys,
I hope you don't mind me joining in. I am not actually TTC yet, but would like to be!
I miscarried on 14 Oct and got my first post m/c AF on Wednesday (29/11). My doctor reccomended that we wait 3 months to start trying again, so I am just waiting at the moment. I will start temping this cycle, as my dr has scheduled some tests to have done 5 days after O, but I already know how hard it is going to be not to BD on the day that I know I am O'ing. At the same time, I am scared to TTC again in case I m/c again, but hopefully being here will help - you guys are great - I have been reading this thread for the last few days and you are all so supportive.
Does anyone know of any actual scientific reason why it may be more likely to m/c a pregnancy occurring in the 3 months after a m/c? This is what my dr has told me, so I feel that I should wait, but a lot of other people here have been told they don't need to wait this long. There is no other reason why I should have to wait longer - I didn't have a d & c, have had a period since the m/c and there are no known problems or anything. The other reason I am waiting is because I now have private maternity health insurance and need to wait until 27 Jan for the waiting period to end! That seems like forever to wait! It is not the end of the world if I fall pg before this time, it just means I will have to go public, which I had planned the first time anyway.
Basically, I am just really unsure about when to try again. At the moment I am thinking of waiting out this cycle and starting again with the next. The trouble is, I have no idea when that will be! My cycles were pretty screwed up after going off the pill, so I imagine they will be wierd for a while after a m/c. Everything seems so confusing and uncertain at the moment.
Anyway, I hope you don't mind me joining in. Good luck to everyone testing or BD'ing over the weekend - have a great one!
-
Lisa, it sounds like we are in the same boat. I will be due to test next weekend as well & will do so on Sat I think as I have a party that night & don't want to drink if I'm UTD! On the other hand if I'm not I will be drowing my sorrows. Here's hoping for BFPs for both of us & for all the other ladies. I have never really felt different in the past when I have been pg so really have no feelings about how this month will go. I am a big believer in positive thinking though so positive thoughts....positive thoughts...
Hi to all you other ladies - hope you all have a productive weekend (wink wink).
-
oh Bun, I meant to add that you should be able to start TTC again as soon as it suits you & your ptr. I had to have a d&c & my specialist still said I could try again as soon as I was ready. I have heard that a lot - it's the emotional scras that need to heal more than the physical ones. Some girls prefer to wait the time they have been told though so the fear of another m/c is slightly reduced. You have to do what works for you. Personally I could not have sat around for 3 months waiting I - had to get right back in there.
-
Hi
Bun, Welcome to this thread. I'm so very sorry about your loss. The girls in here are so supportive and kind. Good luck with ttc again when the time is right for you sweet. I have also heard so much information about when to start ttc after m/c but honestly I think it is completely up to you when you feel your mind and body are ready.
LisaL, I want to wish you all the best for next Saturday. I hope you get that much wanted bfp and what a fantastic pressie that would be from up above. Either way I'll be thinking of you hun.
Michelle, I want to wish you all the best for next Monday. I'm sure little alf is tucked away nice and tight in there. Can't wait to hear your report.
Sezjm, Thanks for all the baby dust. I think we need as much as possible. I hope you are going well.
Amym, I hope all the cleaning is over soon. Good luck with yuor scan on the 15th. I'll be thinking of you and be sure to let us know how it goes. Enjoy Kylie!!!!
Still nothing to report on my end. I might do another test on the weekend or Monday at the latest.
Hello to everyone I've missed. I hope you all have a great week end.
-
Hi Ho!
Mummyto1 - where are you in your cycle now? Thanks for the thoughts re the tooth - giving me hell - I look like a chipmunks lopsided godfather....
Tanya - bd fest for you? Go team blue!!!
Hindonly - hun, sounds like a great excuse to just keep on bd'ing! g'luck!
Morganj - it's so hard to stop thinking what week you'd be up to, isn't it? I have 2 friends who are both safely pg & are/were 3 weeks ahead of me - I'm constantly reminded - I'd be 23 weeks now. Hang in there, sweetie, our time will come again.
Lou - how's the house hunting going? Where are your hunting grounds? Hope you find your perfect home soon. Good luck with your appt on Monday. xx
Mako - thanks. What op did DH have? How's he doing now? When does your TWW end?
Amy - hope you have a great night at Kylies show. Tell us how it was, eh?
Lisa - fingers crossed for you! LOL re legs in the air - whoo hoo mine will be up there!!
Hi Bun - welcome. Sorry for your loss, sweets. I was told I could ttc again after first af. No idea about waiting 3 months. You could give yourself a break & not think about it too much, but be free & be a bit careless, iykwim & if it happens, it happens, otherwise start bd'ing in earnest in January! Hope you don't have to wait to long.
Okay, news from me - I got 2 lines on my OPK this morning! Yay! It was lighter than the control line, but that's cool, at least I know we're getting close & haven't missed the googie yet. DH is in for one heaven of a weekend! woohoo! Bring on the pretzels & magic roundabouts! oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!
love to everyone else I missed! Hoping & praying for some BFP's in here very soon! xx

Hi Cilmum, My dh had to have his kidney stone blasted again. He only has 1 kidney and can't pass them himself as they would get stuck and cause renal failier. I think the surgery has been a success this time *TMI WARNING* as he has been passing some stuff that looks like sand (SORRY) and he hasn't had that before. I hope this has worked as we worry about blockages all the time and it would be nice not to have to worry about that.
Anyhow thanks for asking and I hope you have a fun weekend:) (I love these little santas).
-
Hi girls,
I made it back from school camp in one piece (just), a little more sleep deprived than I expected and a bit worse for wear but i made it!:) I was so worried that I would O whilst i was away but thankfully it didn't happen and I did an OPK when i got home his arvo and it was only really faint so i'm hoping it will be Sunday or early next week.
i got my BT results on Monday but was so busy packing and organising DH for the week I didn't get a chance to let you girlies know.. The day of the first m/c BT- HCG was at 160 and on Monday just gone it was at 2. this might sound really stupid but from what i have read if HCGs are <5 then its ok to TTC.. is that right??
sorry.. so much to catch up on and run out of time for personals
Happy BD to those Oing
pretzeling for those in the TWW
december has begun.. bring on the BFP!!
xxx
-
Cilmum, Sorry I'm on cd47 atm. I did a home preg test last Friday which was negative and also a b/t last Friday which was negative also. Still no sign of AF. I may test again over the weekend or Monday at the latest. I don't know what is going on with my body this cycle as have no signs of anything iykwim
-
Cilmum, I have this image of you in my head now (lopsided chipmunk godfather) - could be hard to shake.... I am cycle day 20 out of 28 although I have been known to go to 30-31 days. According to OPK I o'd sometime last weekend (opk + on Friday night). I am still getting used to all of this so hope I am reading all the signs right..Oh the joys. Goodluck to you over the next few days.
-
OMIGOD Xmas emoticons!! Does this mean I should start my Xmas shopping???!!! No doubt I will leave it until the last minute in my typical style!
Megan-- I'm starting to get worried now. Please let us know you are alright. Thinking of you and will be checking in regularly to try and catch you.
-
Good morning ladies. Not good news from this neck of the woods.:frown: Temp dropped this morning and AF has come to greet me so no BFP for me this Christmas. Feel OK about it at the moment, but I know I will crash at some stage. Thankfully I have Monday's appointment with FS. I kind of thought AF would come as I've had no real symptoms etc and I ovulated on my right side which is my dodgy ovary. So next month it should be my left side and she looks to be in great condition. Have a good day ladies.
-
Awww Lou!! That is not good at all!! :( I hope this cycle is a better one for you
Tanya
-
Lou I'm sorry that af has decided to visit. Good luck next cycle.
-
Oh Lou, That's crappy! BUT the New Year is just around the corner and that means a new start and new beginnings!
2007 is OUR year ladies. For many of us 2006 was quite hideous so it's about time all of our luck changed!!!:grouphug:
-
Good afternoon ladies,
Wow its busy in here
Hope - fury friends are mental as usual! Glad to hear that Stella is running around like a chop. Hope the stress has settled down a bit for you.
Lisa- Hows things with you? Still lots of bd'ing? I am about three days behind you! So I hope that we can post at the same time with a BFP :D
Bun - Hun I am so very sorry that you had you join us here, you will find loads of support here I feel if it wasn't for these brilliant women I don't think I would have got through it. In response to when you should try - when I was in hospital I was told at least 3-6 months  , but when I went back for my follow up the doctor said when you are emotionally ready go for it and we have been lol!! So I guess when you feel that it is the right time .............
Lou - Babe I am sorry that the EVIL AF has arrived, you will get a BFP new years present instead. The perfect way to start the new year xxx
Mako - Hun how are you going? Any signs that you might be utd?? I really really hope so xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cilmum - GL with the b'ing go the pretzel he he he...
Shez- How are you going sweetie??
Shan - Hope you are fab!! Where are you up to in your cycle??
Megan - How are you????
Tanya - How are you going???
Me I am still bd'ing I am on day 20 of a 34 day cycle so fingers crossed!!!
Sending lots of love to all the ladies who are pregnant with loads of belly rubs
Sending lots of babydust for all beautiful ladies who are ttc at the mo :P
Big hello to everyone - sorry if I have missed you mwahhhhhhhhh
-
Thanks for all your good wishes and finger crossing etc but the horrible witch has showed up for me today too:crying: . Oh well I start taking metformin today too so we'll have to see how that goes this cycle with the clomid.
-
Thanks ladies for your support. I sure hope 2007 is my year for a BFP. I think I am becoming disillusioned by this whole thing and maybe it's just not going to happen for me. Fingers crossed that clomid will do the trick.
Mako - we will be on clomid and metformin together. I will praying so hard that next month will be the one for both of us. By the way, metformin may knock you around a bit. I've had heaps of nausea and other gastro problems with it. The things we do LOL.
Spreading heaps of babydust to everyone.
-
Mako - Babe I am really sorry that the nasty cow has shown her  face . xxxxxx
-
Mako & Lou - sorry the witch got you. Lou - go leftie!
My OPK this morning had no second line at all. Yesterday it was fainter than control line - what does this mean? Am I o'ing or not? I don't understand. Do OPK's do this to others too? Help?!
-
Hi,
Lou thanks for the insight. I was wondering what the side effects are with metformin. I posted in the clomid/metformin thread earlier and a couple of ladies mentioned the gastro problems too. I hope its not too bad. Maybe we can be cycle buddies and get a bfp each this time around.
Cilmum and Chepie, thanks for your kind words. I hope you are both ok.
Chepie all the best to you on catching that sneaky little egg. I hope you get a bfp soon.
Cilmum, I'm not sure about the opk's as I've never used them before but good luck to you hun.
Megan, I hope everything is ok with you.
Lind, so pleased you survived the school camp. Good luck with catching that little eggie in the next few days. Bring on the BFP hun.
I hope everyone else is well. Good luck to anyone who's up for testing. Bring on the BFP's.
-
Good Morning Ladies
Wow so many posts!! Well I got DH's family's xmas shopping done Friday night - yippee!! Helped DH photograph a wedding yesterday - and now am so tired. I just can't work out if I've O'd or not. Might get a new battery for my thermometer today just in case it's dodgy. Temps are so weird. My m/c was eight weeks ago now and still no AF!! Hopefully that means I've caught the egg!!!
Bun - I agree with the others' comments - just be carefree for a couple of months and try not to worry too much about ttc. I know it took me a few weeks before I felt ready to ttc again. I was just so sad. Welcome to the thread.
Can someone tell me what Metmorfin does?
The Chicekn - I am so sorry to hear you got a visit from the witch!
Lind - good luck with catching the eggie!!
Amy - how was Kylie??
Have a great relaxing Sunday everyone!!
-
I am just wondering if osmeone can explain preseed to me. I have heard it alot but I have no idea what it is *blush*
-
HELLO!!!!
So so sorry i have freaked a few of you out! It is very sweet that you have been worried about me! I apologise i was just so flat out at work the last few days and someone was using my laptop for a Year 7 program that i just didn't have a chance till now to log on!
Everything is FINE!! Scan went well, although i could carely breathe before it!!! Still a heartbeat and a bit of wriggling and stuff. It was 9 weeks last thursday! DH is getting angry at me cos as soon as i get through one milestone i start stressing about the next. That's girls for you!!!
Just got an email from my sister in law saying she has had 5 dreams that i am pregnant so was wondering if i am!! She really wanted to know cos my nephew has had some sort of rubella type thing and i have been in contact with him. Going to have to tell her now!!!!
Hope you are all going swimmingly, well i hope your partners sperm are going swimmingly really!! Was hoping i would log on to a few BFP's given i have been missing a few days! Good luck with all the testing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
-
Hello Aussienic, preseed is a lubricant that is sold in single use vials which you squirt into yourself 15 minutes before BDing. There are instructions with it. Normal lubricants inhibit sperm, while preseed is advertised as providing a non-hostile environment for the swimmers. Google Lullaby Conceptions for more details. I used it just once and got a BFP, although it didn't stick. :crossfingers: for next time! and :crossfingers: for you, too! :)
-
So do you have to use it every time ? I don't use a lubricant so is it just a lubricant thats safer or an actual ting to help with conception?
Thanks for answering by the way
-
Hey, a big congratulations on the scan, Megan! So pleased all is well! :bellyrubs:
Aussienic, if you don't have a lot of eggwhite cm then the preseed is great. I'd use it for BDing leading up to and on ovulation day and for a day or so afterwards if you could manage it. In one of the conception forums there's a thread on it, I think... :)
-
Hi Megan,
I'm so pleased that everything went well with your scan. I bet you were relieved when you saw the heartbeat and wriggling around :D
I hope everyone else is ok. I'm not liking the Metformin so far. Each time I've taken it I feel nauseas within the next 30 mins or so. Oh well the things we have to do :frown:
-
Megan, so glad to hear the scan went well :)
Mako, sorry to hear that metformin is YUCK!! I hope it is worth it!
No a lot going on here... 4 dpo.
Went out with my sisters ont eh w/e I had sore ribs the next day from laughing so much! It was good!! I got drunk too, which was a bit norty, but I am sure it wouldn't affect bub if I have one floating around in there :)
Tanya
-
Tanya looks like we're in the 2ww together Im about 2dpo so far so here is to heaps of gl coming our way! And no I dont think alcohol will affect a bub being early days! Its gr8 when you can laugh so hard your ribs hurt, lol.
Lind how many dpo are you - there might be a few of us testing together how nice to have company:-)
The Chicken- bummer about af coming for an unwelcome visit, grrrr! Next time she'll stay away:-)
Trying very hard to be patient, so just trying to keep my mind off conceiving etc! Might make time travel quicker, lol.
-
Good morning ladies,
its been busy in here in the last few days... loads to catch up on.
Megan- so pleased your scan went well, it must have been so cool to see your bubba bouncing around in there :happyforyou:
Lisa - Howd you go testing Sat??? I've :crossfingers: for you
Lind - You must be glad to be home in your own bed... how did you get around o testing while you were away? you must've been sneeky!
Chicken & Mako - Sorry to hear the witch showed up, chin up guys, I've got a great feeling about 07;)
Bun - welcome, I know you'll find the ladies in here as lovely and supportive as i did when I first came along.
Hi to all you lovely ladies I've missed, glad to hear there's plenty of bd'ing happening. here's hoping for loads n loads of christmas bfp's.
As for my little world, had a big w'end (IYKWIM !!) Had to come back to work for a rest this morning so here's hoping. It hasn't been long since we m/c but who knows, stranger things have happened and our theory is- what's meant to be for us will happen..... even if we have to bd all day and night to help things along!! DH loves the positive attitude (I think it may have something to do with the sex on tap!!)
Wishing everyong loads and loads of BFP's this month... fingers crossed girls.
-
Hi girls,
Thank you all for your warm welcome. Here's hoping that the next few weeks go super fast and I will be back TTC with the rest of you! As everyone else has been told you don't HAVE to wait 3 months, I am half tempted to try anyway this month, but I'm not sure yet. Will see how I feel in a couple of weeks.
Chepie - the hospital also told me to wait 3 months or there is a higher risk of m/c again. Then my GP said that you have to wait 3 months for the endometrial lining to build up before TTC again. That makes no sense to me as each month it breaks down anyway? Who knows who is right.
Megan - congrats to you! I am glad everything is going well.
Hope - I am with you! Hopefully 2007 will be a better year for all of us.
Hello to everyone else. Hope you all had a good weekend.
Good luck to everyone!
-
Lisa, Saturday will be the edd for my bub... I was thinking about testing... but I will only be 9dpo... and I am not sure I would like a BFN on that day... still debating with myself about it... but anyway I hope you get to celebrate the 9th rather than morn
Hind, I look forward to sharing my tww with you... I never usually make it to the end tho... not without testing that is...
Tanya
