Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage or Loss ~ September 08 #3

Hi girls,

AF FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!! YAY!!!!!! I feel normal again! Have no idea what happened there, but af did come exactly 14 dpo....even though I ovulated at the same time AF is usually due :wall: But still, at least my luteal phase was a good length. So now this is the plan.....DH wants to start really trying after next AF.....SO....I start macca powder this month, then accupuncture next month, bloods today and then by the end of next cycle we should have a good idea of whats going on with me, and time to get my body in order. We know we can conceive....3 times in 12 months is not bad, but I need to sort myself out so I can hold onto the little beans. So thats the plan....we are all systems go!

Sorry for lack of persies this morning...DS is on holidays so we off to the park for a play. We took him to see walle yesterday at the movies...very cute, he loved it, the zoo tomorrow and a wildlife sanctuary in the hills on Friday....its a hard life being 5 and too cute to resist ;)

Tam--Aww, sorry to hear about your BFN, but maybe at 11 DPO it's still just a little too early. I won't give up on you just yet! :hug: Really hope that the B6 helps! Sorry for those that have heard the story before, but at the appt. where I found out about my m/c, my doc told me that as soon as I began TTC again to let him know, and he would put me on Prog. and a baby aspirin to try to help prevent another m/c. So when I called him to get the prescription, I was told that he wouldn't give me the Prog until I got a BFP! I was like :wtf: but my regular physician also confirmed that he never prescribed it for anyone until after they got a BFP. It's strange, tho, because other girls here started taking it at 5DPO, which makes sense, since you would think they would want to fix the problem before it happens, instead of waiting until you're pg and it possibly being a problem again! So I self-prescribed myself the baby aspirin, B6, and also B12, along with my prenatals. Also started taking Magnesium to hopefully help me conceive a girl! Maybe you could just give your doc a call and ask if he'll prescribe the Prog.--especially if they've known since July that it's a problem for you! ATM I'm feeling up and down a lot latey still a few tears here and there but I'm ready and determine to get my forever baby !!!

Hi Toccara - I didnt have a D&C with the last m/c cause it was just a chemical pg'cy...that was back in June. I have had 2 chemical pregnancies and 1 early m/c at 6 weeks...so no d&c required for any of them. I did have a d&c in oct 2007, but it was a diagnostic d&c to check the quality of my uterine lining. This af was just a veeeerrrryyyy late one, I ovulated at the end of my cycle when AF should have been arriving, so that made me exactly 2 weeks overdue...I have absolutely no idea why this happened....just one of those things I suppose :wall: DH and I have been ttc for 3 years, (1 year if you count it from when I had exploratory surgery, where they found I had 1 functioning ovary and my uterine wall was stuck to my bladder and scar tissue every where, so couldnt really conceive with all this 'bad' stuff). Since the surgery we have fallen pg twice, but miscarried both, so now I am having tests for hormonal deficiencies. Hopefully we can finally get this sorted....3 years feels like forever!

Well i bought a doppler.

Wonders of ebay!!!!

Last night i sat there and listened to my little bubs heart beart! :clap: And cried!

DF wouldnt let me open the box of the doppler till he got home from work, so we then sat and listened together. It was magical!

It was wonderful, i have all of a sudden relaxed a little, not totally tho. Not till i see little bub on that screen.

Just a quick update........... Looks like little Gabby has nestled in..... I have nothing as proof but my stomach has "poped" (as it did with the twins) and I nearly had to make a run to the toilet last night when I was cooking dinner (When I was pg with my sons I couldnt handle the smell of meat cooking) I have twinges like you wouldnt believe and i am absolutly exhausted.Feels like every last bit of energy is going towards making a nice comfy home for Gabby. I spoke with the boss......oooops that s me..... and asked for a week off work.... and guess what the boss said..... no worries luv... seeing as so you are such a fantastic employee you take all the time you need;) So today I spent laying in bed..... still sent DH off to work..... and I watched DVD s in bed. Then at 3 i got up, went to Chermside, brought DH an anniversary pressie and straight back home to bed.

Tomorrow it will be bed until 11am then off to the Accupunturist then down to the Gold Coast to stay where we got married and in the same room we stayed in when we got married. We go there each year and renew our vowel just he 2 of us.

So basically between now and Monday I am sitting around or sleeping. While I m on the coast I wont have internet but as soon as I know I will let everyone know.

SO all the sticky vibes you can send my way and all the prays you can send my way I will gladly accept.

issy - I bet you're so relieved to have af arrive (did that sound strange?!) - it's horrible not knowing what your body is up to. Sounds like you have a bit of a plan for the next few months - gl with all of the tests

Tam83: My LH and FSH were out of wack as well and my cycle very irregular, i also dont understand any of this hormone stuff all i do know is that clomid worked for me and i ovulated first go on 50mg.

I went for a blood test yesterday to check my progesterone level to see if i ovulated and get the results on thursday im so scared. i just hope that the clomid worked and that i have no bad news this time. will keep you all up dated.

Issy - I am with you AF arrived and I am raring to go!!

AFM - off to yoga and am feeling so much better after my week away. It is really hard to put it into words but I came through the fog. When you are on your own with no TV or distractions, with strangers, there is no getting away from what you are feeling. You have to make peace with your emotions.
On another WEIRD note. When I was in hospital I had a dream there was a magpie hovering above my bed and the next day I went into labour. Yesterday 3 magpies came into my house - different magpies at different time (cue hysterics). I was honestly under siege at one point - DP thought this was hilarious. Not sure if anyone else is superstitious but three for a girl...

AngelBabies - :crossfingers: for you that all your symptoms lead to a BFP. Sounds wonderful. You must have a great boss to give you the week off. Enjoy. I hear she's a nice person but she expects lots of work to be done :nahnah: Sounds like you're going to have a great weekend.

AFM - I spent last week in Sydney. Even though it was for work it was great to get away on my own for a while. It was also actually nice to work on some professional development. I started a journal as a way of remembering my angel and to help me through this TTC rollercoaster. AF is due in about 4 days. I think she'll show up even though she is not welcome. I had to leave for Sydney right around O time so didn't get in much BDing. But I had some wicked twinges this morning and once is all it takes, right?. I'm trying so hard not to test for a couple of days yet.

Well I'm 11 weeks today and my doc said this is the worst week for m/s and cramping.
I am having alot of cramping (no bleeding) and almost through up in my car this morning:sick:

Just wanted to know if my cramping is normal, getting a little worried but trying not to stress....can anyone help me please???

AFM: Went out for the first time by myself yesterday and spent all day in town shopping for DH and Button (got some super cute clothes, which is so exciting, as I was such a nervous wreck and sick with Lilah I never got around to buying anything). Paying for it today though, as my legs are SOOOO sore from walking around after not being used in so long. So today I am in complete and utter cleaning mode but finding it hard to walk, so just hobbling around. It's kind of funny.

Oh, also, in very exciting news, I've started to feel Button kick! DH even felt one the other day. It's early, but they say you can feel it earlier with the second baby, so it makes sense I guess. YAY!!

larz - I felt cramping early on in the first tri. I think it returned again around 16 weeks too which was weird and a little unsettling but all is fine. Big hugs! ! !

Has anyone heard the new Jordin sparks song 'one step at a time'? I heard it for the first time today and it reminded me of Angelbabies as they're her words of wisdom. It's a good song & is kinda upbeat so is nice to listen to & feel happy.

He did a couple unintentional flips, and ended up on his back a couple times, but still gained control in the alloted time to pass the jump. He's doing level 6 this Sat. and has to make an unstable exit from the plane! We've watched enough video's to realize this means he'll be thrown from the plane! :hide: They're going to have him look out the plane to spot, then when he's not expecting it, they're going to throw him out! At least he knows it's coming.... otherwise there'd be hell to pay for the guy that threw him out!! :rofl: They won't admit to him that that's what they're going to do--there has to be that element of surprise so that they know he can gain control in a situation like that. Lee and I have been discussing the possibility nearly every other day (hard not to when we share the home). I decide it was time for one of us to move...he decided he dosen't wnat that to happen...so now I'm trying to understand if he really wants to work on us or if he just doesn't want to feel dumped...hard to figure out because I love him and we've got a few years under our belt...I just hate starting over...so who knows...I pray to never lose sight of "me" again which oddly enough is very easy to do. Oh My Golly Gosh - It's so quiet on here today. I'm having one of "those" days. Not quite sure what I want to do. ATM I have three littlies in (two more due to arrive soon), baby in bed, 2 x Mr 2yo's are "reading". One of them actually put all the toys away (not sure what was going on in his mind yet). I'm sure when the other two kids arrive shortly, all the toys will come out again. It's too hot to take them outside now, so they'll have to wait until this afternoon. We've drawn pictures and when the others arrive we'll do some other stuff.

I'm still on my "cleaning streak". I went through DH's cupboard yesterday and sent a few bags of clothes along to the charity bin, filled another bag with rubbish, and started on my stuff. The boys are going camping for the weekend (three days alone :dance: ) I've got plans to go through the boys room while they're away.

Jen - good thing my DH doesn't read this he'd be so jealous - twice before noon (he's dream).

Well things didn't go so well today i got the BT results and i didn't ovulate, im crushed i was devastated. i burst into tears the minute i got out of the dr's surgery.

im now going to have to go on 2 clomid tablets a day now which is 100mg. Dr said i can start the clomid again next week. which im going to do and pray that it works.

my poor DH my moods are going to be terrible, they were bad with 1 tablet. has anyone had side effects to the clomid?? i have mood swings, nausea, insomnia and really bad hot flushes especially of a night.

What's the deal? There's only 5 posts total since my last posts from yesterday!! Where the heck is everyone? It's looking like a ghost town around here! Did someone forget to take down the :closed: sign??


smi--Hope things work out one way or the other with Lee--whatever you decide to do will be right for you! It's so hard starting over, and really hard when you still have to face that person on a daily basis like you do! Big hugs... I know it can't be easy! I am new to this and not sure if I landed at the right spot...

I had 2 m/c this year (at 6 weeks and at 9 weeks) and I'm trying to cope with it (not always easy). I've just started TTC again this month (my last miscarriage was in August) and I should be 8 or 9 dpo so far, so next week should bring more news...:pray:

Milla - sorry you have to be here but hoping you end up with a BFP and big preggie belly real soon.

Rachel.B - sorry to hear the 50mg didn't make you O. This bub is a clomid bub so am a big clomid fan here. I just took 2 x months of 50mg and had very gentle side effects (headaches, mood swings etc). Although DH probably wouldn't say that the mood swings were gentle ;) :pray: this month is better for you.
