KL - Glad to hear I'm not the only lop-sided one. Must be the moon or something it's my right one too! I like the way you said you got 'stabbed'. I certainly did today too!
PLC - Thanks so much. Soooooooooooo happy to hear that everything is great with you!
Fifi - Hope you're feeling better soon. Glad to hear that you got a nice massage.
Jenushka - Sorry to hear about your grandma. I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend. Take care
Jen - Thanks
Babyfever - I think you did a bit too much hoping for me ... they are very high and strong!!
Leyza - That's fantastic news.
AFM - Went to get my BT this morning. Had a trainee. I think it must have been her first day. Over the last few months, I have had an uncountable number of BT's, so it really doesn't phase me any more. I also have a pretty good idea on how they do it. Normally, they come from below and jab up the arm. This lady started coming straight at me, if anything pointing down the arm. It hurt like nothing else!! It felt like she had just jabbed me with a hot poker, and then the back of my hand went really hot. I had to dig my nails into my skin so I could feel some other pain. She was terrible. And get this ... just before she put it in, she said "you'll just feel a little sensation". Sensation? Geez!! Normally they say "a little sting" or a "little pr!ck". Perhaps she knew it would be worse than a little sting and so she's chosen the word 'sensation' to describe the 'hot poker' feeling!! It felt like she was taking the blood from my elbow!! ANYWAY, enough winging ... She said the results would be in by 2pm, so to call after 2pm. So I called, of course, at 1.45pm. Not in yet. Then again at 2.45pm. Not in yet. Then again at 4pm. YAY they're in! My progesterone was at 66 and my hCG was negative. I am not too concerned about my -ve hCG as I am only 7DPO. Doc said to re-test at 10DPO cause he is "interested to see what my progesterone will look like at 10DPO". But we're going up the coast this weekend, and there are no SN pathology open up there on a Sunday, so I'll just have to wait till 11DPO, Monday. Doc says that hCG should be registering at 10DPO, so I'll have all my fingers and toes crossed for Monday's result. So what's the deal with my progesterone? I didn't think to ask doc on the phone. I was a bit phased and in a "so when can I test again" frame of mind. Has anyone heard of such a high progesterone? I have a graph here, and that's what it's supposed to be at 22 weeks pregnant! I also got this info off the net... Unusually high progesterone levels in the blood may indicate that the lady could give birth to twins or more. At the same time, this could also signify a molar pregnancy. A molar pregnancy happens when there are some abnormalities in the fertilized egg during conception. The fertilized egg either never develops into an embryo (complete mole) or develops abnormally and can't survive (partial mole). I don't particularly want twins, but if I have to choose one over the other, bring on the twins! Any other suggestions of why my progesterone might be so high?? Please??
Take care girlies.

Joey - I've been googling the prog level stuff, and the only other thing I seem to find is that it can sometimes be caused if you release more than one egg. That's probably why it's related to twin births too. Hey, maybe you just released on big fat egg that's all set to fertilise and implant!
AFM - Weird story for you all! And I mean WEIRD!!! I was at work today and had a client and her mother on the other side of the front desk. I was discussing the clients puppy with her (he was hit by car and we repaired his hip) and the lady was mid-sentence when her mother suddenly reached out her hand towards me and says "I don't mean to cause offence... but are you pregnant?". OMG I was so thrown! I went totally red and told her yes, but it's very early and how did she know? I thought maybe I'd been eating too many chockie biscuits but her words were "I could see it in your face. I can read things in people". I was stunned, and her daughter was a little stunned too. I wasn't upset or anything though... just amazed. She then tells us that her mother was the same. Then she goes "Oh! And it's going to be a girl!". Oh my!!! It was so surreal! I mean, it's not like she must go around saying that to random girls that are not obviously pregnant, because the odds are she'll be wrong most of the time, LOL! I think in my shock I said something about me just wanting this baby to be ok, and she told me "honey, everything is going to be fine. Just take care of yourself and don't work too hard". I'm still in total shock. Is it strange that I actually found comfort in her words?
Gosh girls, i'm only gone for one day and i have pages of posts to read through to catch up on everyone's goss!
Leyza: Great to hear your good results of the US. Get plenty of rest and make sure someone is looking after you. Tonnes of coming your way. Keep thinking positive!
KrystieLove: congrats are also in order. Thinking for you.
Joey123: Dunno much about progesterone levels but go with your gut instinct. If you feel preg then perhaps you are in tune with your body. Lots of women 'just know' when they get pregnant. Hopefully you will have more to report with your next beta-hCG.
Toccara: Hope you are doing ok today. Have been thinking of you and will continue to for you at this sad time.
Jen805: I have no idea what is going on with my body or what to expect. On 23/8 my beta-hCG was 2100 i think. By 25/8 it was 500 (that was the day i physically miscarried) and on the 28/8 it was 200. Havent had it checked since. The last 2 days i have had the WORST nausea to the point where i cant pat my dogs because their smell makes me want to throw up. Half of me thinks it is wishful thinking... particularly as it is soooo early since my m/c... but the other of half of me feels pregnant. I can't explain it. I dont think there is any value in doing a home pg test in the meantime cos i dont think it will show anything... and i am a little embarassed to go back to the GP cos she told me to wait another cycle before TTC again
Emmykate82: there is always i hope. I had a D&C on the 09th July, we started TTC straight away, only a week after. I'm now 7 weeks pregnant with our little bub, hoping everything is ok. I had (Still do) have bad nausea. I just "knew" that i was. my doc told me that there was a good chance it may still be traces of the previous pregnancy, but i knew it a was another miracle and i was pregnant.
I had my BT done and my HCG levels just kept rising and rising. My Doc wouldnt give in to the fact i was pregnant until i had a san at 5 weeks and saw that tiny little heart beat!
There is always hope. Go back to your doc and ask for a BT! it will put your mind at rest.
mollycat--Sorry about your temp drop... I just realized that I never put my protective force field around you this month! I'm saying mega that AF will fall of the face of the earth!

KL - I hope you're right!! Will let you know tomorrow!! WOW that is sooo weird. What's her name? Can she come and look at me?? That is sooo awesome. Your bubba is going to be fine. YIPEE!!! And a little bubba girl. Awwwwwwww!
Tam - Hope all goes well with your scan. I'm sure it will.
Ruthie I am so sorry. There are no words that can convey my sad thoughts for you. Please take care. I MDed at 4.5weeks on my B'day. So know how you feel. Absolutely *****ty.
Babymiracles I am sorry what you have gone through. I really hope that you have a happy and healthy bubba in your tummy in no time. I can't beleive they even have people in hospitals like that. I would write a letter to the hospital and explain how you were treated. That is DISGUSTING! As for ovulating ... I MC at 5.5 and 4.5 weeks and Oed two weeks after, both times. After my 1st MC, I fell preg straight away, which ended in MC, then didn't fall the next month, and this month I am waiting till tomorrow to see if I have a BFP on my BT. I think if you have a D&C, I didn't, that they want you to wait a month for the lining to rebuild a little more, but I would go to a FS asap and get their oppinion.
Tam - What is it with people in the medical profession. I admit, there are a lot of great doc's out there, but there seem to be a lot of $hitty ones too. Surely that should be part of their application - are you compassionate? Yes - good, here's a job ... no? - then p!ss off, why would you want to do this work then! Grrrr it makes me angry.
Babyjubs - So sorry to hear your sad news. I'm sorry I don't have a lot of info for you as I didn't have a D&C for both my MCs as they were earlier on than yours. But if you are interested in how I coped, you can click on the little number that is next to 'Blogs' on my post up the top here and you will see my stories. Take care. I am glad you have found us all. In this very emotional time, where sometimes others have trouble understanding, this is a very safe and comfortable place.
Abby - So sorry about the news. What is it this month? So much sadness in this thread. Take care honey.
Rachel - Sorry you have had to join us, but glad you found us. The girls here are fabulous here, and very cupportive, during what can be a $hithouse time in your life.
I feel a little selfish posting an AFM right now, as there is so much sadness in this thread at the moment. But here it is anyway. Perhaps I can start a new positive trend tomorrow?? Here's hoping...
AFM - Had a wonderfully relaxing couple of days up the coast. Well as relaxing as it could be considering every time my body has any type of sensation anywhere, I go .. what's that? And note it down. I'm going nuts! Bring on the BT tomorrow! I should have results by noon as I am not going to SN, but into the pathology place in the same building as my FS. I really really really want a BFP. I think 11DPO should be enough for it to register. My FS said that he wanted me to do it at 10DPO, but we were up the coast, and they don't have a SN that's open on a Sunday (10DPO), so Monday it is.
FF has given me a chance of 'good' and my boobs are a little sore ... but my first BFP a couple of months ago, I didn't notice sore boobs until about 16DPO anyway .. so this soreness could just be from the progesterone, or whatever it is that gives you sore boobs after you O. Glad I have the girls on BB to chat to, or I really would be a basket case!!!
Also, just in case any of you weren't aware .. the Brisbane girls are having a meet up next Saturday at the Coffee Club at Nundah at 9am. There's a thread in the 'meet up' section if you'd like to come.
