Kerry - Thanks for the info, I plugged up the courage to ring my ob, his midwife told me to wait until after the next AF - I think I can cope with that (just!!!). They didn't really have an answer to my question whether you can ovulate one week after a D& C, so I guess I have to wait and see what my chart tells me...
Also she said that I didn't need HCG levels tested because I didn't miscarry naturally. I must say, this is all new to me and I am starting to get confused as to what tests I should be having...
Good luck to you for today!!!
Claire - I used to get panic attacks years ago and I found meditation (as Satya suggested) most helpful. In fact I have gone back to it now to keep my thoughts positive for conception.
Hope the wait for your scan goes quickly....
To everyone else Good Luck for this week and for those waiting, waiting, waiting hopefully lots of distractions and positive thoughts!
I never thought that I would wish for AF to arrive! I am very impatient now so that we can get into some serious TTC! Please cross your fingers for me that it won't take me too long to be able to try again....

Well, that's good news, Penny! Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for AF. We have a Waiting for AF after M&L thread going too in the M&L forum. I'm not sure how to do a link to it but it's not too hard to find. Everyone's really supportive there and it's good to share the wait with someone!
Finally got around to chasing up my blood test results from the end of May and the answer was.... nothing out of the ordinary. So just unlucky again! I had blood tests done for clotting, genetic disorder (my older half sister had a stillborn son due to Di George syndrome in 2005, very, very sad) and antibodies, as well as a check on hCG levels - which maybe I didn't need to have done, Penny! Still, what's another vial of blood between friends... Anyway, my hCG levels were less than 2, blowing my theory about having to wait until the hCG was out of my system for AF to return. D&C was May 1, blood test was done on May 30 and AF arrived June 29...
Sorry to hear AF came knocking at your door, Timnik. and OMG at the tooth, you poor thing. Ouch ouch ouch!!! Your luck must change soon!!
Some mega squishy hugs being sent your way, Lee!
Hope everyone's having a good start to the week. I must fly - lots to do!
im really happy to see you bloods came back all good for you and i hope that you are in for a busy week this week with the work load and the bding hopefully you will be doing. good luck chick....
penny sweety you will be fine just relax and let nature take its toll. i never had a af at all till a week after my d&c so it will come chick good luck
Penny - Can't help with the charting after a D&C but I think most ladies find that their cycles are a bit odd after a loss. I hope your AF arrives soon.
Lee - Thanks for the support. Yeah it does seem to come around really quickly. This time it was a 27 day cycle so much better than the last two which were a little short. My luteal phase seems to be 11 days most cycles and I'm thinking that might be a little on the short side. I hope your moods even out, hormones can play havoc with them.
Nicole - Sorry your AF showed up. I hope you get your tooth fixed quickly & painlessly.
Has anyone had IVF after a miscarriage? Can't find it in any miscarriage story I've read. Also is the rate of miscarriage less after IVF? I'm starting it later this month and am worried.
Hi everyone..thanks for your messages but I think I am out this month as I started spotting this afternoon. I'm trying hard to keep my chin up and positive.. but not sure how many months of TTC I can do before losing my sanity! I felt so sure this was my month, I can't trust my intuition!!
Kiwigirl - sorry to hear that AF has arrived (Here I am, waiting for mine...)
Sienna - sorry I can't help with IVF after miscarriage. Have you tried Google to find any info on the rates for miscarriage after IVF? Good luck with it this month!
Kerry - I am happy to hear that all your blood tests are ok. I am glad you mentioned it, I had totally forgotten about mine - I must add this to my long list of questions for the next phonecall to my ob.
I will check out the waiting for AF thread, thanks.
Susan - thanks for the tip, I definitely need to relax. DH is very supportive and we do lots of talking. I just get far too emotional about it all (my eyes have been puffy since the D&C, it's a real nuisance!) I think guys can just look at it more rational than us - DH says he knows in his heart that we will have another baby and gets on with it - I wish I could do that!!!!! I suppose eventually I will - it's just all a bit fresh still...
Kiwigirl - could be implantation so don't stress yet. Your symptoms sounded so promising so all could be OK still.
Sienna - I'm headed for IVF after my lap that I'm waiting for now. When my specialist heard my history (41 two early m/c to two different partners, 10 years of ttc, no successful pg) he said that it is the only real option for me. Because you get monitored so much problems are often picked up early and then dealt with early so I think the m/c rate should be lower.
Kiwigirl~ Good job at keeping your head up all hope is not gone yet, when is your af due?
Penny~ Men are just good at it, my husband is the same a few days after our mc he said that even though he already loved our baby that its going to be ok and that we will have another by next April or so. I hope hes right!
Shoegal~ I totally agree with you I will be a little stunned if we don't hit the egg this month! I love my hubby but still, we have done the BD every single day this month and I am supposed to O today or tomorrow. I will say it again I will be stunned if we miss it we are even going to continue the BD a few more days just in case.
Kerry, How do you feel about having clear results? Sometimes that can be even more difficult :hugs: jUst wanted to let you know that a hcg less than or equal to 2 is normal for women in a non pregnant state. So, a level doesn't have to be zero for you to menstruate/be fertile...
back from my 4 day break (yesterday) had a lovely time, the trip home was awful though, got stuck on the freeway for over 2 hours (literally stopped and going no where) because a truck had jackknifed, so a trip that would usually take just over an hour and a half, took us nearly 4 hours.
I am on 6 dpo and no symptoms as yet.
kiwigirl don't give up just yet love, it could possibly be implantation spotting. sienna sorry, can't help you out with your IVF after MC hopefully you will find some info on it somewhere though. Shoegal great news about your results, I will keep everything crossed and hope you get your bfp.
hi to everyone else I have missed, will back later tonight for more personals.
just keep doing what u are doing you are doing great its good to have a cry you are letting it all out. take as much time as you need and you know that all us girls here are here to support you 100%.
hey there girls a quick question while you have your af are you able to ovulate??? never herd of it b4
Thanks Flowergirl for asking. To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel. I guess I just keep hoping that next time will work out. And hoping that there will be a next time. Thank you, also, for the info on hCG. I thought perhaps my hCG levels might have been high at the time and that was why it took so long for AF to show. But that was evidently a silly supposition as presumably bodies recover differently from a D&C to miscarrying naturally. Feeling clueless again. Luckily I have BB and you!
Good news on the BT results, Shoegal! Gotta be happy about that!
Fingers are still crossed for you, Kiwigirl!
Wish I was getting as much action as you, Zionsmum Legend!
What a horror trip home, Sharon19270. A long time to be stuck on the freeway! Hope you TWW flies and ends with a happy BFP.
Hi there Britkane8, not sure on the ovulation during AF, but think I read somewhere that the chances would be very very slim. Hope your week at work is improving!
*Waves quickly to everyone else* Will be back tomorrow morning. xoxo
Susan- usually people don't ovulate during their period its very rare however not impossible.
Quick update on me, I am doing ok, this is the first month I have ever paid attention to when I might or should be ovulating I am however nervous that I have been thinking about it so much that I will end up not ovulating this month or doing so rather late. I have had some "promising" cm I think but still unsure because of all the action I dont want to misinterpret the two. Also all the BD is great but I am afraid that if I don't get pregnant this month we are going to be way worn out the next month. Anyways enough about me hows everyone else doing.
Zionsmum - I hope the BDing every day works for you. I tried that years ago with my ex and it didn't work for us but I've read that in can work for some people. Since my last AF I've been off BDing quite a bit. I hope I get more interested as I get closer to Oing.
Sharon - Glad you had a great weekend but that traffic sounded really nasty.
CD5 for me today. I'm starting to get a little worried about my AF's. They appear to be getting lighter and lighter and I'm hoping that doesn't mean I'm heading towards menopause. Everything I've read on it says things normally get heavier first then you just get it less often and that's not the case so maybe I'm OK. The cycle I've just been through I had 3 days of light spotting and one and a half days of bleeding then a day of light spotting again. My blood tests don't show that I'm heading for it either but I just have to wonder why it is so light and if that's the reason I'm finding it so hard to conceive. Yesterday I went to the loo that many times it wasn't funny and twice overnight. If it weren't for my low temps I'd be so tempted to take a test, but from everything I've read you can't be pg with low temps so I'm not wasting a test. I've had this before though so it's obviously something other than pg causing it... just not sure what.
