TTC after Miscarriage or Loss ~ October 07

Hi Treelo! Hows things??
Day 9 and still no sign of AF. :wall:
Used my last HPT 2 day. Crystal clear. Cant be sure, but it's possible I got the faintest faintest vertical line. I mean sooo faint the Dp thinks Im imagining things, but if I hold it to the light (I know Im grasping!) I can see a faint shadow. It came up in the time, but looks like what Id expect of an evap line. I NEVER get anything at all though, so its given me a little hope.
If I O'd when I think I did, at about day 26, that would make me about 11dpo. What do you think??? I think perhaps Im going insame. BTW it wasnt FMU. :rolleyes:

Honey i dont think your insane, and if i were you, i would wait till Monday and do the test again with FMU and if there is the faintest of lines again then i would be doing the happy dance !!!!!! Trust me i know what its like to analize those rotten tests until im blue in the face and still not see a line, so if you think you can see it then i doubt that its there....

Ive been staring at the bloody test for hours. I dont know. I reckon there's the faintest thing there,but what if Im talking myself into it? Can really only see at arms length. Dp said "it's not it. I can see something, but it's blue. It's sposed to be pink", and Im like, well no not on this one. Im so sick of over analysing. Id convinced myself af was on the way so I wouldnt be too disappointed. Now I know if she arrives, I'll be crushed. Need to know, am feeling really down about the whole thing.

Beaksie - your just going to have to do another test with FMU - if you think you can see a faint line today - it should be a bit clearer in the morning :pray: I think you must be pregnant, where is AF - are you normally this late??? It is the most obvious reason for AF being this late.... and if you did O later in your cycle, it's just been too early for you to get a positive hpt........ I'm :pray: you and me get two whopping huge fat thick BFPs in the morning light :D

Beaksie - do something to take your mind of it for today and retest with FMU tomorrow. And if that test is still not clear, and AF hasn't arrived you should go and have a BT on Monday - because where is AF? She should be here by now.

I have a good feeling for both you and Lee this month, in fact this thread is going to be empty within a few weeks and they will have to close this thread off due to everyone gettings BFPs!

Starrysky - thanks for the prompting to write! This is my third cycle TTC after m/c in July - have been charting temps daily for all 3 cycles since m/c, and have used OPKs for last 2 cycles. I don't have anything to compare against, as I wasn't charting before I fell pg the first time - so I'm still trying to work out what's relatively normal for me. I have pretty rampant PMS the week & days leading up to AF, most of those symptoms mimicking early pregnancy symptoms, so I have been 'fooled' each month thinking I'm pg but then AF arrives. I started taking vitex this month under the guidance of my naturopath, and my boobs haven't been half as sore as they normally would be (I'm in the week leading up to AF now). If you don't mind me asking, has your slight bleeding stopped? Sorry for upcoming TMI, but I have had brownish bleeding for last 24 hours, along with subtle AF type cramps today - but the bleeding is not heavy enough to need a liner, only visible on tp. I've had a continuous sore throat for the last week too. I promised myself that I wouldn't read symptoms this month, given my track record of being fooled! I really hope this bleeding for both of us is a good sign. When are you due to test?

Satya - just a quick 'hi' and also a very big 'congratulations'! I've heard so many other instances of women falling pg when they had 'let go' or stopped actively TTC - I know a number of people closest to me have kindly said to me I should stop obsessing over it; I obviously don't say anything to their faces, but I sure want to. I know in reality it's probably true, but people who haven't ever experienced difficulty TTC will never know that it's practically impossible to 'let go', and no amount of advice-giving will make this any easier for us. I'll stop my ranting now. But it is so great to hear that you are pg, especially in view of all the heartache that you've gone through in recent months - I'm glad things are a whole lot brighter for you as you deserve it.

Got to go; DH & I are packing to go to Sydney for a week, so need to keep progressing with that! I look forward to seeing a myriad of BFPs by the end of the week!

I've been feeling really tired today and even had to have a nap, then again we were out til 2am this morning (no I didn't have even one drink, we were just at a relatives house and of course I was designated driver). We went out for brunch today and I ate like a horse. I am starting to get a little cramping now so hope that's all for good reasons and not for bad ones. Still no sign of spotting.

I'm hoping because this is so badly timed that this will be the sticky one. Also my DF is sworn to secrecy until 12 weeks (if we get there) as I'm hoping by then everyone will have forgotten when we got back together and wont realise the baby was conceived before we were officially back together. I'm thinking that seeing the implantation dip was earlier than the last one that I've got a better chance for a sticky one too... they say the later the implantation there is less likelihood of it sticking.

Anyway, better get going now. Fingers crossed for BFPs for Lee & Beaksie when they do test & for everyone else as well later this month.

Satya thought I would pop in over here and give you my congrats, and wishing you the stickiest of pregnancies.

Well, I tested and I don't think I can give you a definitive answer. I woke at 2am and had to pee, so tested then........ held back for a few minutes before giving the strip to DH - he stared blankly at it with squinted sleepy eyes (sometimes men are so clueless!! lol), so I grabbed it off him and really only saw one line. Couldn't get back to sleep, and checked it again a while later and there is a faint 2nd line (very faint!! but DH can see it too). I used this same test the other week and got a very clear negative, and to this day that one never produced an evap line. So, at 8am I used my last test, and same thing again, a very very faint line - which probably doesn't appear within the required timeframe......... so I dunno :rolleyes:

My last pregnancy - I didn't O until CD17, and didn't get a positive hpt until 14dpo (or CD31) - I'm only on CD28 today - and I really don't know when I o'd - so I guess I'm still in with a chance. If AF doesn't show by CD31, I'll wait and retest then.

Why can't us women just wait until AF has been a week late, it would save all this psycho analysis lol........... my bb's are really tingling today, whatever that means. I feel fine either way, and happy to still have a tiny bit of hope :)

We are off to CATS today, so pretty exciting for the kiddies.... hope you are all having a great weekend with plenty of SLEEP and fun...

Oh my gosh Lee, I can completely understand where you're coming from when you queried why can't we wait a week after AF due before testing? !?!? I tested early this morning with FMU too, around 4.45 am, and exactly the same thing happened with me (just posted this on TWW thread)...I went back to bed without reading the result within the recommended 5 minute time, but when I went back to throw it out a couple of hours later, I noticed a very faint pink second line. And same experience as you, I've never had an evap line show up on these ever before (the ultrasensitive midstream tests from LC). AF not due for me until Thursday, so it's still early on for me, and DH & I are still wanting to be 'cautious'. But I really do hope that our second lines for the both of us are the real deal. I won't be testing again until tomorrow morning with FMU. I wish you all the best with a bigger & darker BFP for you!

By the way, waiting a week doesnt always help!! Look at me, for goodness sake. Day 10 and still no closer to having an answer. Didnt test today, Im just too over it, but may tomorrow. Actually feeling like AF is going to come (I know Ive said that all week :redface:) but I've got a big blind zit on my nose, and this is a notorious sign for me. Im really struggling, just feel so sad and desperate. :(
Realistically, it could just be super long cycle cause of MC in May, cause bear with me here:
-took 6 weeks to get af after D&C
- went straight on the pill for 2 months after 1st AF
-first full cycle after pill (last month) was exactly 28 days
But that doesnt mean I had gone back to regular afs does it? May still be settling down. And just cause I O'd late doeasnt mean I conceived, just means that af will also be waaayyy late. Right???
Im sorry. I know Im being such a drag, but this is beyond a joke now, and I dont have docs till Thursday. :wall:

I am doing okay.....M/S has really kicked in weird it's starting to get as bad as it was with all my pg's that I carried and had healthy Bubs.....The two M/C's I didn't get sick at all.....I really believe that tells me this one will be ok :) I am having an U/S next week so we'll see then but this constant nausea and heaving is so familiar!

Me - I am fine just getting the hang of this temping business - first month trying it and this morning my temp went from 36.5 (past two days) to 37 deg (this morning) and i am mid cycle so this could mean i have O'd already - anyway will see what tomorrow's temp will bring.

Lee - It's sounding promising for you if you used the same test before and didn't get an evap line. Good luck when you test again. I was relieved when I tested as I could see a faint line within 3 minutes and it said to read it at 5 minutes but not after 10 and at 5 minutes it was quite clear. So much easier when it works that way. Faint lines just do your head in, I know that feeling well.

Kaib - I reckon it could be good news for you - I use the same tests as you and I've never seen an evap line on them and I've never heard of anyone getting one either. I've only had a positive result on them at 12DPO (this time) and 13DPO (last time) if that's of any help to you.

Beaksie - AF's after m/c can be quite erratic so it is quite possible to end up having a longer cycle even a few months after having one.

Dawneee - YAY for the m/s. Good luck with the ultrasound.

AnnaBelle - that does sound like you have O'd but of course you have to see what the next two temps do to know for sure.

I'm feeling really positive so far. I had a headache last night and it's kicking in this morning again too. My nose is still stuffy and I'm really tired. With my last two pregnancies the nose thing had gone away by now and I wasn't getting headaches either so I'm hoping that it means things are going well this time. BBs are just a little uncomfortable and my bra feels a little tight. If I don't eat at the regular times my tummy rumbles something chronic. Not sure when I will visit the GP. My DF wants me to wait until Saturday but something tells me I will go one night after work just to get the slip for a BT then I can go get it done one lunch time. People hang out the doors of those pathology places on Saturday's, I just don't have the patience for that at the moment.

Girls can i ask a question - i used a OPK this week - it came up positive on CD19 - DH and i BD'ed on CD9,16,18,20,21 - does that sound like i covered my bases? am i in for a chance on a BFP at the end of my TWW??? im worried that cause we didnt BD on CD19 i may of missed out this mth?

Nothing new from me. Still waiting for my HCG to go to 0. Its now more than 5mths since my last D&C and HCG is still lingering at 13 :wall: I never knew what frustration was until now. Its been dropping by 1 over the last few weeks, at this rate, I'll get to 0 by Jan :rolleyes: then ttc by July 2008! But I doubt things will even go that smoothly.

Girlies i have a question, my last cycle was 24 days and the previous one was 26 days, what day should i start using the opk? I am temping and lookin' for cm, but i'm very new to that too. I just want to maximise our chances this month. It is so confuising when my cycle is so irregular now post the mc. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, how many of you just bd every second day to cover all possibilies?

Hi everyone. Just a quick one from me, cause Im still feeling feral. Now 11 days past AF and no BFP. I seriously think Im out now. I dont think it took this long to show with dd. Im actually a bit worried somethings wrong with me, cause this has never happened before. I guess it might be because of my MC, I just don't know. Do know I wont be testing any more, and after this month Im OUT. Im not going to actively try anymore, will just stay off the pill and see what happens. As much as I love all you guys, I really dont think I can go through this again, and though I will keep popping in to support you guys, Im not gonna do this obsessive thing anymore. Ive still got my docs appointmrnt Thurs and will get a BT done if no AF by then. BTW, great to see you back PASH, we've missed you!

My news - Day 23 today (8 DPO),crazily emotional and i mean FERALLY emotional. I have cried everyday over such dumb things. I am starving at night and am being a moody b**ch to poor old DH!!! I am wondering whether we may have caught the eggy after all, or is my silly mind just making it all up cos i want to be pregnant...i am so OVER THIS!!!!!!

Aaahhh.... i so want to be one of those people who finds out at about 3 months or more, "oh, i had no idea i was pregnant till now" etc...i can't handle the anxiety!

Pash - That must be so frustrating for you. I hope it is back to zero very soon.

Beaksie - TTC can be very stressful and it gets harder the longer you have to do it. My first pregnancy took 3 years to achieve and I lost it straight away and never conceived in that relationship for another 5 years so I really do understand. Luckily my second one only took 9 months (with my new man) and the next one took 3 cycles, then I think 3 cycles again for this one. You just have to learn to be patient as it is a big waiting game. Waiting to O, waiting to see what symptoms you get, waiting to test, waiting to see if AF arrives, then if you get pregnant again waiting to see if the spotting is going to start again, waiting for blood test results....waiting waiting waiting...patience is an absolute must. I hope you feel better today.

Littlescottish boy - I hope your mood swings are for a good reason. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I'm going to see the doctor tonight after work to get a slip for a BT. I'm quite nervous about doing it as I don't think I'll take it well if the result is not as high as I'd like. Anyway I guess it has to be done. Probably wont get the test done for another day or two as have to fit it in around work as I don't want anyone to know what's going on. When I woke this morning my BBs were sore for sure and I could smell a strong stench of onion even though my DF could not so I guess things are OK. I'm also having to get up at night to wee and my nose is still blocked.

I have not re-tested from Sunday morning - AF due today........ can't tell if she's coming - bb's are a bit sore, and I'm extremely and to quote LSBoy "FERALLY emotional!!" It's really really awful. So, it's either severe pms or something else. Will probably re-test in the morning if AF stays away.

Beaksie - good luck today - when will you get your results? I :pray: you have had 50 DUD HPTs the last 2 weeks, and that your blood test comes up trumps :) gotta think positively eh............

Well i havent tested yet at 9DPO, this is a huge achievement for me, as i normally cave around 7 in the hope that i O early !! This morning i ordered my 10miu hpt from LC so as soon as they come (in about 2 days) then i will test !!

No real symptoms except so very tired all the time, which i hope is something !!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to say a huge thanks to you all for basically putting up with my woe is me type crap for the past few weeks. You've all been wonderful, and kept me (reasonably) sane. I know Ive been painful, and I also know that some of you have got a lot more reason than me to whinge, but still manage to keep positive. So sorry, and again thanks.
Took dd for her first swimming lesson this morning, which was great fun, and has cheered me up immensely. Still dont know where Im at. AF is now 12 days overdue, and I just dont feel like shes coming. Certainly dont feel pg either though. Wait will be over soon, as Ill get a bt on Thurs morning.

awww Beaksie, your not being a pain... this is exactly what where here for hun and dont ever feel bad for showing your true feelings. Gosh i think we have all ranted and raved or mopped about something and there are always lovely ladies here to pick us up and help us get through.

It's coming and going and it's kinda at the top of my hip but below my ribs on the right side. Yep, here comes the paranoia about every damn little twinge.

Hi Satya. I dont get O pain so its hard to say, BUT when Ive been pg Ive had all types of stretchy, niggly, stabby, achy pains imaginable. I think its normal. PLEASE try and relax and enjoy. Trust me I know its hard, but you deserve this. It's gonna happen this time!!
