Thanks for the warm welcome ladies - I understand zionsmum, it does seem weird to welcome people to a m/c forum...but I sincerely appreciate the welcome none-the-less! Thank you!
I'm having trouble reading my body this month - I should have ovulated yesterday or today...but I'm now not so sure about this. I started using OPKs this month, and still haven't gotten an absolute second line (only faint ones since CD12). I've been using the saliva microscope in previous months (including this month) - but that only frustrates me, as I seem to be "ferning" more often than not (and I'm doing everything by the book). I'm starting to fully realise that my body is not a simple 'text book' case! I think that I will try to convince DH to keep BD'ing for another day-or-so...but I'm so conscious that I'm being very scientific about it all - I don't want to turn him off...isn't baby-making supposed to be fun (!?!)
So I'm not even sure if I'm officially in the 2WW - which I know is going to frustrate the heck out of me for the next 2 weeks if I don't know for sure whether I've even ovulated this month or not.My plan is to try to stay sane - or something that closely resembles sane! Here's to "sanity" for everyone else going through the 2WW at the moment!
Hi ladies just popping in to sprinkle some around for you all.
There's one thing I will not miss being single again....the TWW. There's no chance whatever that I can be pregnant so no wondering. See there's always a silver lining to everything no matter how things seem.
Hehe just thought I would stop by and say I FINALLY got my BFP yesterday
Thank you to those who listened to my whinging and my doubts!! for all TTC!!
Good luck for this cycle
Congratulations EnglishRose! I'm so pleased for you, sending you lots of positive, happy and healthy thoughts! (And hoping you start a run of BFP's for us!)
Just a quick question. Im using OPK's for the first time and im just wondering about the faint line.
I know that it means a negative. But if the line gradually gets darker, does that mean that you are coming close to O? Yesterday it was really faint, but today its a bit darker. I not meant to O until Wednesday
Treelo - I had the same thing happening last month. There seems to be varying advice on the subject. The packet states that the test line has to be darker than the first line to be positive, but some health professionals seem to think that even a fainter line is a positive. I have come to the conclusion that it also depends on your fluid intake. If you can refrain from urinating for hours before testing it should be a valid test, otherwise I have been advised to test FMU because it's more concentrated even if the package tells you to test around 2pm. Also some woman get a slower surge which explains why the line gradually get darker. Hope that helps. I am starting OPKs tomorrow (after wasting so many last month!), so I let you know what's happening... Good luck!
