Question What is going on with my body???

Hi ladies, I have to start this post off by saying this is extremely hard for me to write. I am a fairly private person and I tend to deal with things just fine by myself, but this time I really need to talk with someone!

A bit of background - DH & I have decided to TTC for #3. This in itself is hard for me to share because I like to keep it quiet so there is no pressure, etc. (This is just me!). We started TTC last month (September) and I got a BFP on Tuesday the 23rd of September. It's hard to know exactly how far along I was because I haven't had a regular cycle since AF came back in August due to B'feeding. My cycles have been - 45days, 30 days, 30 days, 24 days then I got a BFP on CD30 (I didn't test earlier than that). I'm guessing I was around 4 weeks give or take a couple of days. Unfortunately 2 days later on the 25th I miscarried which of course was upsetting.

Now for the confusing part! This month it seems I o'ed on CD10 (based on EWCM observations) which is really strange. DH & I DTD on CD9. I usually O around CD14 or 15. I am confused as to why I O'ed so early. THEN on Thursday (so approx. 4DPO) I started getting a constant ache on my left side (I'm guessing where my ovary is) and also light cramps and pulling in my uterus which lasted for 2 days. I have only had this happen when I'm pg so I am VERY confused as to what's going on! Surely it's too soon to have any kind of symptoms? Is it residual symptoms from my early m/c?

I had a m/c in January of last year and my cycle when back to normal immediately afterwards and I fell pg straight away with DS2. I am confused why my body is doing it differently this time! The annoying thing is that I won't even know when to test because my cycle is so up the creek.

I also wanted to add that apparently I am very fertile. When I had an u/s during my m/c in Jan of last year I was asked if I was on fertility drugs, apparently I looked super-fertile . I have fallen pg first time every time we have tried which is 4 times. I'm not sure if this info helps, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Sorry this is so long! If anyone has any idea or words of wisdom I'd love to hear them!

Trish - I have no idea honey.. sorry

I have a regular cycle and ovulate on day 14 of a 28 day cycle, so anyone other than that makes me all confused... LOL

Sorry to hear about your loss though

Good luck with making more babies

Aw babe your not a freak!

Im not sure what is going on either, ive never had a m/c or problems falling preg as yet either and cycles have always returned to 28 days without fail after both babies now.

Perhaps a trip to the doctor would help?

All the best TTC#3...thats awesome news!

With a chemical preg hun your cycle may change. You mentioned that you are still BFing so that could be making it hard for your system to get into a proper rhythm. I also find I get more than 1 lot of EWCM per cycle so i did chart as well and use OPKs just to be sure.

Thanks Kim ! I don't think I'll go to the dr's for another week or so in case things sort themselves out. I will definitely have to go if I am pg though coz I'll have no idea when I'm due!

Thanks for your reply alioops, my DS2 weaned at the exact same time as I had the m/c, it was an awful week! I only usually get one lot of EWCM per cycle (that's how I always know when I'm o'ing) and I haven't had any since two weekends ago. Theoretically I should have o'd last Thursday (approximately anyway).

Maybe it's just a screwy cycle because of the early m/c? I'd still love to know what exactly is going on! I suppose it's one of those things I'll just have to wait and find out for. It's so hard!

    Hi Trish.
The worst part of TTC is all this waiting and not knowing. I totally understand your hesitation to talk about this, as i am exactly the same.
I would be guessing that the fact that your cycles are not back to normal since stopping BF'ing combined with the recent m/c is messing with your cycle.

I have really early preg symptoms just as you describe. Kind of feels like AF might be coming. So you never know.
Like you have said, all you can do really is wait. Well i guess you could go and get a blood test to see what your HCG levels are doing, but that is not really going to change much.
If you are not UTD, then fingers crossed your cycles settle down. But hopefully you are UTD and it was just a wierd cycle.

Sounds like a bit of a rough patch with the m/c and the little man weaning. Hope you are managing to rest up and are doing ok.

Thanks Ange . It was such an emotional and hard week, but I'm doing OK now. I won't bother with a b/t, I will find out soon enough. It's just so hard when I've been on an emotional rollercoaster and then this happens! Normally I'm pretty cruisy about things like this LOL!

SaraJane - It could have been O pains, but I don't normally get any O pain and the pains I did get this time was the same as I get when pg. And also I didn't get any EWCM around the same time as the pains, I had it 4 days earlier. But who knows?!

I have been having slight "twangs" on my left side each day since last Thursday, but not as intense as the first two days. I'll feel like such a dill at the end of this cycle!

Trish I'm so sorry for your horrible week

I agree with what the other girls said and your cycle is probably a bit screwy this month because of the early m/c and finishing bf. As for the pulling/ache feelings, well I had that really early on with DD so it is definitely possible that you are pg. If I was you I would probably do a pg test 2 weeks after your EWCM.

Good luck! I really hope you are pg, how exciting!!! I totally understand the not wanting to talk about it, I am exactly the same but sometimes its nice to let it all out. You have my number so feel free to use it! I know all about screwy cycles unfortunately

    Take care....xxxxx

Thanks Sangie . Good advice, I might try testing on Saturday if AF hasn't arrived by then. DH will be away for the weekend though !

P.S I keep forgetting to tell you I have a pink cup toy of your DD's here, I'll have to get it to you at some stage

I just thought I'd mention I had never noticed O pain until the miscarriage I had early last year (so we are talking many many years that I did not feel it) and after that one I always got it. You could be the same.

Thanks Satya, that's very interesting! I'm still not convinced though because of it not coinciding with the EWCM. And I still am getting niggles today (but as I said, not as severe as last week).

Who knows what my body is doing?!

I can totally understand the confusion *sigh*
Maybe do a test to ease your mind? If it's negative (perhaps too early), nothing is lost and you're still set to wait, and if you do get a positive you know what's going on?
I have the twangy left ovary too at the moment... and I'm 13DPO I think.
    GL and hugs.

Thanks Ash . I don't want to test yet, I think it's way too early and I don't want to set myself up for disappointment IYKWIM? How bizarre that you have twinges in your left side too! I hope we both get a BFP .

    Lots of empathy!

    Hey Trish,

Afraid I don't have any brilliant flashes of insight for you, however I can completely understand where you are coming from! I was on here last week (thanks again for listening people), worried because I hadn't detected O for the month despite lots of POAS. Anyway, this weekend AF arrived on D24 of my cycle- never had a cycle so short before! I'm just hoping that my body is still sorting itself out after the MC. So I'm now in my 4th cycle after MC and feeling a little stressed about the strangeness of my body. I think we are meant to be calm and relax and our bodies will do the same. I'm sure this is good advice (seem to get it a lot) but saying it is a fair bit easier than doing it.

hang in there, sending you lots of positive vibes,

    Indy

Thanks for your support Indy, I'm sorry you are going through such a confusing time too . I hope your cycle returns to a predictable pattern really soon.

Just thought I'd update and say that I've been getting lots of light cramping all day, each day and the last two days I have been extremely nauseous about an hour after eating lunch, to the point that I have been retching (sorry for TMI!). I have been tired, grumpy (my poor family) and emotional. I've also been madly reorganising the whole house. Whether I'm pg or not, my hormones are up to something very weird...
