Hope - I don't remember having nefedipine. It wasn't prescribed to me following the procedure. It may have been something I was given during?. I presume it's to stop/prevent contractions - as that's the purpose it has been given to me in the past. But then again that might be because I don't fit any classical definition of cervical incompetence. Sweetie - do as much as you can and find out as much as you can so you can make informed choices, but let go of the illusion of control, if you haven't already. BTW - I have my cervix checked every week to every couple of weeks via either ultra sound, speculum or internal examination. That is certainly something to look forward to....
