Hi everyone, the last few posts got lost when BB was down
we had an ultrasound and checkup yesterday in melbourne, girls r doing great! Weights are 2.4kilos and 1.9kilos. I'm having a c section which we discussed with both our specialist and doctor we saw a fortnite ago but we saw a different doctor yesterday. Can't remember her name but she was not very nice!!! She was not supportive at all with our decision even when we tried talking to her about reasons why (less risk for lil bub) but all she said was she doesnt understand why i don't try naturally and made me feel like absolute crap and hopeless. I just couldnt believe her attitude. Anyway after her opinions she reluctantly booked the c section for oct 29th which means i will be 38wks and 3 days so the likeliness of me still being pregnant then is low! Not happy at all... We are planning to speak to specialist on monday when he's back from leave and see what he thinks. Last doc we spoke to said it would be done around 36weeks. So anyway bring on monday so we can get it sorted!
I'm going back to the exhaustion stage and getting so so sore!!!! Moving in bed and trying to get up is just agony, nothing eases it now.

After everything you have been through the last thing you need is unsupportive people around you. Hopefully you can sort it out with the specialist so that you can do what is right for you and the girls.

How exciting to have the date! I'm very shocked at the doctor pushing you for a vaginal birth. Although vaginal births are an option for lots of sets of twins, identical twins have a whole heap of extra risk factors and you have made your decision based on sound medical advice. I hope you don't have to deal with the unsupported doctor again.

just thought i would pop in to say....THEY ARE HERE!!!!!! My beautiful baby girls were born by caesarean on sunday 17th october 2010 in wodonga and were (Mia) born at 10:21am 5pound 5- 2418grams, head circ 30.3cm and 46cm long. twin 2 (Abbey) was born a minute later weighing 6pound 3- 2852grams, head circ 33.2cm and 46cm long. Both girls did amazingly well! They were in special care nursery til wed mainly due to Mia not keeping her body temp. They had no issues feeding (bottle formula fed). The doctor was in the process of changing their caesarean to up here this wk instead of melb but the girls decided 7am sunday morning while daddy was at work would be a great time for their waters to break! The boys absolutely adore them!! They are just perfect. We got home yesterday
