I have to say that we have been very busy. We went to Switzerland for 2 months and spent the European summer with my mum and dad who live their. I was born there, and it was the first time I returned after 4 years in Australia.
It was great to introduce Sarah and Samuel to the family. They were spoilt by everyone and everyone loved them. We had such a nice time overthere and took the most of it. My mum and dad loved babysitting them while we went out. It was great to be just the 2 of us too.
We've been back for 2 months now, and, as every twin mums, I have been very busy. I had never been taking care of Sarah and Samuel alone before and it was a bit hard when Hubby went back to work. But it's all good now. Bubs are sleeping through the night since they were 3,5 months old. I started going to AMBA 3 times a months. It's nice to meet other twin mums.
Hi ya Chris, sounds like your twins are already seasoned travellers, mine havent even been out of victoria LOL. Glad to hear you are coping with solo care, I hope you enjoy them whilst they are still young.
Heya wait til they start moving, its a riot............
( Oh and the fighting LOL)
north side or south side??
Dunno if its busier at home or at work .............. ( I think I like work to escape to, its my sanity)
thats the southside, you obviously havent been here for long,as lakeside is only fairly new. I went back to work when the twins were 3 mths old, and also 3 mths with each of the other 2. I have b/f them all til at least 12 mths, as I work nights in the hospital, they dont seem to notice me gone very much. I onld do 30 hr a week now. and it seems to work for us. It helps to have a flexible job like nursing. I live up army rd ( through Pakenham on the left) I hope you are enjoying your littlies ( i miss having a baby in the house )
I've been near Army Rd a few times. I've been living at Lakeside for 3 years now.
3 months is quite early, but you somtimes have to do it. Nursing is a very nice job. I was in administration and marketing in Switzerland, but it was hard to find something in the same range when I came here, because all interviews I had, they asked me if I had residency, which I didn't have a the time. I had to work casual as a demonstrator. I did this for 2 years until I was pregnant. I already had 2 miscariages before them, so I wanted be on the safe side. They were born 5 weeks early though.
Welcome Back Chriscoop - hope you enjoyed your holiday!!!!
Its great that you and your partner were able to have a break Good work Parents
Look forward to seeing you around the boards more soon
Welcome back Chris I was wondering how you got on - love your names Sarah & Samuel - mine were 4.5weeks early but going great .
I have only been to a few AMBA things but throwing myself into the deep end now and being an area rep so will start orgainising some coffee mornings in my area soon to meet other twin mums.
I saw that you have a little Samuel too. I just love this name. My parents said that both Sarah and Samuel were biblical names. I didn't know that before.
I am glad Samuel and Joel are doing fine after all the hearthbreak of losing your babygirl I think it's another chapter of your life that has just begun
I will have my first mothers group on Monday and I have to say that I can't wait to be there. And on Friday, I'll have AMBA meeting. I'll be busy socialising
