Hey angiel - there is a member named Kimbaz - she had her first and second daughters 10 months and 27 days apart - not twins but still close! You might be able to have a chat with her

Wow what a surprise! Do you know if they are identical or fraternal? I have twin baby sisters two months older than my DS. They are identical

Umm i can't really help with anything you asked - but there is always someone 'worse off' than you!
There was a story last year about a woman who had twins and fell pregnant when they were very young (while on implanon) with triplets!!! 5 under two, oh dear LOL!

Ta for your reply! Yes they are identical girls.
No twins in my family although I am one of 9 children!
Thanks for the advice! Will get onto that!
    Take care

Wow I bet that was a shock. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have 6 month old twins, but they are my first so I don't have any expierence in having other children as well. It is such a joy being a Mum of twins. Sure it has its moments that are a challenge, but it is such a fantastic feeling when you get to expierence all of the 'firsts' two times!!!

When we were doing our multiple birth workshop class before the twins arrived we were told about how some nanny agencies need placement for their student nannies. I think they normally do this when you have a few kids. (My sister is a nanny and did placement with a family with twins +1) Basically these nannies need to be out getting expierence with familes, it doesn't cost you anything because you are halping them also and you get some extra help. Perhaps look into that. Even if it was one day a week for a little while.

    Good luck.

hi Angiel- First of all congratulations.

I have a now 22 month old and 6 month old twins, all boys. Isaac was 15 months when the twins were born, the were 6 weeks early and spent 2weeks 2days in NICU. but they are very healthy. Ours was a planned pregnancy but twins was a small (yet not unexpected) surprise.

It can be really hard work especially when all 3 decide to start crying. but to be honest the twins are easier than my 22 month old. you will have a great time with them. by the time the twins come you will be an expert.

if you have any questions or just want a chat feel free to PM me.

your in for the ride of your life. sit back and just enjoy it.

    take care.

    hi hun,
congrats on the pregnancy...my sister had my nephew and was pregnant a month later with my neice, not twins but close in age. how old are you...if you dont mind my asking? my sister was 20 when she got pregnant and had my nephew and 21 when she had my neice, and iv got to admit my neice and nephew are amazing with each other...close and caring..so close in age can be good.

    Congrats on your twin pg

I would suggest you contact your local Multiple birth group and get in touch with other mums who are in a similar situation to you. AMBA have a website that has a club finder, so worth giving that a look at and see who your contact is!
MY MBA were my saviour! Kept me sane for sure.

I have heard of quite a few girls falling pg with twins just after having a singlton. One of my friends twins were 11 months old when her singleton was born. Another member i know from another club managed to have 2 sets of twins born in the same year!!! 11 months between each set- now that would be hard!!!!

Twins only come to special people- enjoy the rollercoaster ride- hang on tight and take all the help you can!!!

Angiel- Hello there. Congrats on the pregnancy. I know what a shock it is finding out ur having twins. I found out at 8 weeks. My twinnies are now 4, turning 5 in June, and I am pregnant with a singleton due 8 days before the boys birthday. Although mine arent as close in age, I can understand how ur feeling. Twins are easy as when they are babies. I did it with no help.

    Hi Angeil,

Congrates on finding out your having twins, you are very lucky and blessed to beable to experience the twin experience.
I have 3 under 3 at home and It gets really hectic, Guess what the 3 year old is more work and much harder than the twins. You will be fine, It;s amazing what us women can do when you have twins.

OMG And there is me thinking how am I going to cope with twins and a 5 year old boy!! Looks like I'll have it easy compared to you, goodness me I bet you are in a state of shock. I do have a neighbour who had 4 kids under the age of 5 and the last two were twins and the best advice they gave me was.....that they fed them in the bath! Two birds with one stone and all that!!! lol I'm sure you will be fine, us mums are made of Steele. We always find an easier way of doing things.
I am pg with identical twins 9 weeks along so far, so just a little bit behind yourself. I'm am scared to death at the thought of giving birth to two babies. But also really excited about the fact that they will be identical.
Have you had much morning sickness? I've been terrible and I'm being a complete monster hormones all over the place.

wow! Congratulations!! Twins ARE lots of fun - but they are also very hard work - especially in the first few months. Even making it through a twin pregnancy with a baby to care for will be difficult!

I think the first few months with twins are really tough, the next three are easier, but still hard and the next three are just easy.
Having another one under 12 months is going to be really hard work but you'll manage... Just remember the really hard part doesn't last that long.
I didn't have any help with mine - but my age gap is a lot bigger than yours is going to be! EEk! You'll be busy but it's great!
Log onto the AMBA forum too (it's down for maintenance at the moment but should be back up soon) - you'll get lots of good advice about everything from sleep settling and feeding to the best kind of car and pram to buy...
Also, if you have 3 children (or more) under school age, you can get child care payment from the government for in home care. So you can have someone paid to come to your home to help out and you'll be eligible for the same govt assistance as if they were attending day care.
Like Kate said - there are some nanny agencies that will also send you their trainees - best to start calling around now though - I think if you get in early, you're more likely to get someone.

Congratulations and good luck!!! Just think what a great bunch of playmates your kids will be in a few years!

Oh my - I know just how you feel, love!

I had my eighth, Nathan, in June '05, then Andrew in May '06, then twins Cameron and WIlliam in April '07, and I've just had Rhys in March! So don't worry - you can survive through it!

It's quite daunting to begin with, especially through the end of the second trimester nd the thrid trimester, but ulitmately it's pretty much love (: The first few months can be a a bit hard, I won't lie, but you'll get through it! It's wonderful your little girl is willing to help - by the time Cameron and Will arrived, all the kids were helping out so much, it was great!

    Anyway, congrats and good luck!
