Doula is pronounced "dool-a"....I hope that makes sense...I'm not too good at "pronouncing" things in writing.

I'm paying as I go, too. However, even if you pay up-front, you can still take your time.

I've got a nine-month old daughter, and I started my studies when she was probably two months old...so that's seven months so far, with 1 more module (the last, which is just about setting up your doula business), which will take me (I'm guesssing) another month....but I've been taking my time.

As far as people around your area doing the same course....I just found people in my area recently...it's not required, it's just a bonus for me......but you'll do great, regardless, as you have the passion.
