AbsolutelyI have been present to twin vaginal birth and VBAC which are considered by some as 'high risk' but a Doula is great for all occasions
Especially where emotional support is needed - and I reckon that's everywhere.
Would a Doula attend a high risk pregnancy? We have a 1 in 4 chance of having another baby with CF. I am not sure whether they would consider a CF birth high risk or not, but if so would a doula still be prepared to attend. At this stage I am in two minds whether to go natural or CS for our next pregnancy (whenever that happens), but if I consider natural, I think I would like a doula, as Alana's birth was quite traumatic.
