hhmmm thats a tough one, i did see somewhere online (a fb shop i think) a height chart that has photo spaces they were around $30 and when shes one they mark the height and put a pic of her in at age 1, 2, 3, 4 etc I like the idea as its a nice keepsake to show how she grew and you can see how she grew up over the few years

A friend bought my DD some ladybug earings for her Baptism, she didn't have her ears pierced, but I thought they were lovely!
Very cute Almost 3 years later, she now has them pierced, but I haven't put them in, cause I feel they're 'too special' for everyday use. Hehehe.

Do her parents have any intentions of getting them done?

Maybe an ornament or a cute piggy bank. Some sort of collectable thing so she can collect when she is older (then you'll have something to get her every birthday)

    Bangle or bracelet.
You could start a charm bracelet and add to it each year.
    Build a bear teddy
Special book eg fairy tales or a classic magic pudding etc and write in it a message

OMG how could i forget ... before i meant to mention my cousin is a snob and clearly thinks he is above intelligent then most people, he told my Mum when his DD was about 7mths old that she was already highly intellingent for her age so i have to keep those two things in mind !!

feeb that's a nice idea, i too thought of a nice bracelet but for him it would have to be gold which i can't afford ... but i like your idea of a really nice book set, infact my DD got a beautiful timeless book set for her 1st birthday ... mmm i'm thinking reading and intelligent child may go hand in hand (tougue in cheek )

    Keep the ideas coming ladies
