Howdy Everyone! Do you have any ideas of What food to prepare, Proper location, Decoration, etc..etc.. for a 1st birthday party of my li'l baby girl this coming August 21??
I really dunno Where to start and What to plan first..

We had our kids 1st birthdays in a park. We pretty much just put on a BBQ and had cake. It was more a get together for the adults than kids so I didn't do party games, decorations or anything.
I've been to a few 1st birthday parties where the parents have gone all out, decorated the house, had paty games etc. One was a Princess theme and the other was a Bob the Builder theme.
I have only been to one 1st Birthday party and the Birthday Girl had no idea what was going on. It was a morning tea and they had tea/coffee/juice and food for adults and the kids that were there.
It was more really for the adults but they did have a kids decorated cake and handed out lolly bags to the kids.
I think it depends on how many kids are going to be there as to how you make it, though as the Birthday Boy/Girl probably won't know what's going on and will get tired soon into it then I would try to keep it a bit low key.
