I need some help from some of you girlies out there
DF and I are getting married in three weeks, still haven't done up our vows yet. Oops. We have a template which has parts in there where you get a family member/friend to read out something about the couple etc... I want to cut that out and do a blessing on our bubby, and our angel baby instead, probably towards the end before the pronounce us as husband and wife...
does anyone have any ideas? Or can you point me in the right direction of where I can get some sample blessings from?
Thanks![]()

We had a "Hand Blessing" after our vows (before pronouncing us husband and wife & signing the register). You could adapt something like that. DH's father read it for us.
These are the hands of your best friend.
They are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever. These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you throughout the years,
and with the slightest touch will soothe you like no other. These are the hands that will that will comfort you in illness, and hold you when fear or grief wracks your mind. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.These are the hands that even when wrinkled and agedwill still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.May these hands always reach out with love, tenderness and respect.May these hands continue to build a loving relationship that lasts a lifetime.May these hands and your love for each other be forever blessed.
Good luck for your wedding and family
Thanks girlies
I have only ever seen 1 blessing done on an unborn child. The groom said the vows and then blew "fairy dust" (glitter) onto her belly, it was really sweet.
