    Christening....

We have decided that we will get Bianca Christened as both DH and I were -
We are having it on the 24th May in the same church i was Christened at and that DH and I were Married in.
What should we expect? what do we need to do? what should we do afterwards?
Tell me about the day u got ur bubba/bubba's christened!

    Hey Harmony!

This is very exciting for you,DH and little Bianca. Hope you have a lovely day surrounded by your friends and family.

Both of our boys are christened, first of all we had to have a meeting with the church and get filled in on what was to happen on the day etc. Will you be having your own private christening or one where others are done at the same time?If its a shared one find out where abouts Bianca will sit on the list.

Im assuming you have already go the god parents picked etc,and they know what they will have to do... be there to accept the role of being gp and signing some paper work!

After the ceremony we went back to our place fora celebration,we had a bbq and drinks nothing over the top but enough to mark this special occassion. We had the bottom tier of our wedding cake as the christening cake for Aaron (obviously it was decorated appropriately).

Have fun organising this special day for your precious little girl Bianca!

    Thanks Leah -

Im hoping its not a shared one - mum made the call and booked it in, and as far as i know nothing was said about it being shared!!! better ask about that hey!
Apparently they are sending out paper work!

Oooo i guess i better ask the ppl who we want to be godparents soon too hey to make sure they can come - hehehe i didnt think of that - also do u have to have a certain number of godparents?

Im thinking a BBQ back at our place might be a good idea!

We are not really religious at all so are the cermonies very religious?
