    DH's 30th Birthday .....

I'm after ideas for my DH's 30th birthday which is coming up in three weeks time. I have already bought him a present and organised a suprise party for him but I'd like to "do" something as well. For example, for his 21st I took him swimming with the dolphins at Seaworld which he said was his best present ever so I'm after something along these lines. Sky diving / hot air ballooning isnt really his thing as he isnt much of a dare devil so I'm really stuck.

Any ideas would be very welcome .......

Is there something that he's been wanting to do for a while, but never found the time or money to do it? Maybe pick his friends'/familys' brains and see what they come up with as well.

Thanks Jodi. We went to NZ a few years ago and did almost everything we had ever wanted to do (bungy jumping, white water rafting, black water rafting, jet boating, heli-skiing etc) over there so it has made this decision very hard indeed.

I'll try his friends and family and see how I go ..... thanks for your response.

What about a ride or drive in a V8 supercar.
Or hiring a great car for a day for him to drive where ever he wants to.

    Concert or show tickets?

    A scenic flight, boat cruise.

I was also thinking along the lines of v8's, or motorbikes or something. Is he interested in anything like that?

Ok, this is probably not 'that' exciting, but how about a massage together in a day spa. After getting my own massages at day spas over the years, my DH had always been a bit envious but would never dream of booking in his own massage - not the 'guy' thing to do and all - so one year for our anniversary I booked us in for a double massage (just a room together) having massages at the same time and he loved it. Anyway, hasn't really got wow factor and is a bit girlie, but is my 2 cents worth

On our honeymoon we went skydiving (I noticed that you said your DH isn't into that), but we also did the shark dive in the tank at Underwater World at Mooloolaba...it was great!! Ooh, what about a walk with the tigers at Dreamworld? A friend did that and loved it.

what about a joy flight in an old plane....google red balloon. It gives all different gift ideas & you purchase online, such as a ride in a V8 car, hot air balloon, joy flights & so on.

just had a thought ....what about a booking to a fancy restaurant. In Syd there are a few restaurants you can hire a seaplane and fly to for a bit of a joy ride on the way....do you have anything like that where you are? Or perhaps just a booking to a posh restaurant like fine dining or the like. Anyway, only thought of it because I've just made a fancy booking for ourselves

There is a company called Red Balloon Days and Atomic Dog which specialise in 'experience' gifts. Google them and you can get ideas from their website or even purchase an experience on line. Good luck
