I really love the idea of a surprise wedding, and maybe to get people coming tell them theres going to be a surprise they don't want to miss!

I think that's a gorgeous idea and the bonus is that people who REALLY CARE will rock up IYKWIM. People feel obligated when it's a wedding but not everyone will go to a birthday. Does that make sense?

Plus those that don't rock up, their loss!

I think it is a lovely idea. I too would be worried about no shows but if you think that won't be an issue, sorted!!

But I'm a bit stuck on this bit...

DF is a bit meh about the idea, but he's a bit meh because he wants a $40,000 budget

We were going to do this too PZ but ours was baby shower and figured boys wouldnt come so now we just going out for lunch and asked people to pay for thier lunch instead of bringing a gift. So so what YOU want don't let anyone tell u otherwise or u go crazy like me lol

It was funny, everyone was worried about the little girl who was "sick" and wondered why they were taking so long to come back to the party. LOL

awww that sounds so nice. now i want to have a surprise wedding

we were due to get married this coming march and everything was planned, but as the pregnancy was a surprise, we postponed everything to the following march because i would have a 2 month old. eeeek. (not sure how well i would fit the dress)
but i sooo wanna be married. i dont wanna wait another whole year!

i say go for it!!!
