My mum is turning 50 very soon and my brother, sister and I obviously want to buy her something very special for her birthday. The thing is we dont know what to get her. She doesnt wear jewellery so that is off the list. I just thought I would call on you lovely ladies to throw some nice ideas my way. I am organising her party and cake and everything else and my brother and sister dont help, so when I start thinking about her present I get distracted by all the other stuff I have to do, and of course if I dont think a present the other two wont.
Does she like photos, maybe you can pick some of her favourite photos and get them done as canvases?
Do your siblings have kids at all, maybe buy a big canvas and gets the kids to attack it as a 'special' gift from them.
DD was 10mth old on fathers day and i let her crawl all over a nice bug canvas with non-toxic paints.
For my MIL's 60th we got photos of DD framed and we paid for her birthday party!
Maybe you could all put in for a weekend away or something for her?

I was going to say something along the lines of a book full of photos and stories?
My cousin made one for her dad and contacted people from his past and made a gorgeous book for him...something he can treasure forver! But if your not crafty like me then maybe a nice family pic in a lovely frame???
