I was going to say something along the lines of a book full of photos and stories?
My cousin made one for her dad and contacted people from his past and made a gorgeous book for him...something he can treasure forver! But if your not crafty like me then maybe a nice family pic in a lovely frame???
for anyone looking at photo books - BIG W photobooks are on special again at the moment. the cheapest (8inch square) soft cover book isn't bad - if you're wanting to do something spesh, maybe do a hard cover one...
Jazahmum - aww thats so nice of you to ask, sorry i havent been back in here to thank you for your ideas, I have just been flat out, organising a party for 50 odd people with a little one and cooking everything yourself is such a big task.
We havent got her anything yet, we were just going to contribute to her wishing well and then she could use all the money and get exactly what she wanted, however I AM SO ANNOYED on the invites I wrote a little poem requesting gift vouchers or money anonymously, and not one person contributed to it they all brought presents that are of no use - the exact thing we were trying to avoid, how much freakin body wash does one person need , seriously.
Thats so annoying Salad, for my dad's 70th when people rang and ased what to get him (as most did) I said Bunnings or Borders vouchers and he got heaps which he loved.
