How old were you when...

I was engaged at 19 and married at 22. It took 2 years to plan our wedding in the Greek Islands - otherwise we would have been married sooner! We have been together for 5 years in August and married for 2 years in September.

I technically had two weddings - one at the courthouse which was our 'legal' wedding and our dream wedding on the island of Santorini.

I always told my DH that if I wasn't married by the time I was 30, that I wouldn't ever bother with marriage as I figured we'd been together long enough without being married. We almost got married the day before my 30th, but decided that 15 days earlier was better.

2. we gave all our wedding savings to the bushfire appeal
3. timing it perfectly with little bean sprout growing, i dont want to buy a ring and have it fitted and then have swollen fingers on the day!!!

We got engaged last Sept when we were 22, now both 23 we are getting married in 19 days!!!!

Lol I almost had the same problem, got to wear my wedding and engagement ring for only a few weeks before my fingers got too puffy, had to wear them on a chain around my neck until DD was nearly 12 weeks old and the swelling had gone down!!

DH and I were together for a month when I fell pregnant with DD, then we got engaged when I was around four months pregnant (at the age of 20, he was 21). We got married just under six weeks later lol, still at the age of 20 and 21, and then DD arrived a month after my 21st birthday (two months after his 22nd).
We did it pretty quick haha

First time - Never got engaged, (he never asked ) but had Luke when I was 21... he wanted more babies but I said not until we were married - we got married when I was 22... we'd been together for almost 6 yrs...
I left him less than a year after we were married Took me almost 7yrs to realise he was very wrong for me...

Second time - Never got engaged, (he never asked either!!!) - well, I guess he did in a round about kind of way - after doing 4 x IVF stim cycles, spending a hell of a lot of $$ on them, he said one day 'How about we spend the $$ saved for IVF #5 on a wedding first?)... so I guess that was a proposal, very romantic
Married last year, I was 30 - 3 months before my 31st birthday
We've been together for 7yrs.

We had been speaking about secretly marrying for about a year before we made it offical and did it properly .
