So a message from the host, he is going formal but the kids are welcome to wear whatever so I think I'll just put them in shirts and trousers with whatever masks they like. Maybe vampire or animal ones? Girltwin will love something with feathers and sequins and it should be easy enough to find something for DH and I.
I'm excited, it's going to be fun making these masks, especially with two months notice.
I love the ladybug idea for you & your DD. would it be too creepy to put the boys in alternative insect costumes/masks? Bees, ****roaches, spiders, ants come to mind.
Jealous. I've always wanted to go to a masquerade ball, a la Labyrinth or Venice Mardi Gra.
