Excellent idea! I did the same thing! DP and I googled images of the 80's and found a flyer for a retro 80's night at some place in america somewhere, we photoshopped all their info out and put ours in! I then printed it out like you would photos at Big w.
As people arrived I positioned them in front of a wall mural I made up from old magazines I got from op shops, (with ad's from the 80's, pictures etc. I really wanted to find posters of breakfast club and movies like that but didnt have enough time...) and took photos, was a good idea as they all looked great, unlike later on..LOL
Dp is a bit of a dj so he mixed up some 80's stuff with now stuff, was pretty good too!
Food I had those ****tail onions in garish colours, pina coladas and jelly shots.
