    My wedding speech

    Hey all
i was going to post this in my blog, as there is a few things in the speech that is very personal, but some people might not see it in my blog so i thought i would post this in here as i want as many peoples opinions as i can as this is very important to me.

now if you have the song "how do i live without you- by trisha yearwood" can you have that playing softly in the background lol ( not asking much am i lol) as this is the song that i have choosen to play while i say my speech to my gorgeous husband if you have the song but with someone else singing it, play that instead as i think the music helps make the speech and if you dont have the song then bugger lol not to worry

now nathan has no idea i am even getting up to say a speech so he will be very shocked lol i just want your opinion on my speech, as its not your everyday speech and some of the stuff as you will read is very private, but i feel that it needs to be told so these peope wil have an understanding of just how gorgeous and loving he really is, cos nathan is your typical bloke, he is a rock and shows no emtions around people, most of our guests are in shock that he is getting married lol cos he didnt seem to be the type to get married lol yeah thats until he met me

ok so pease dont mind the spelling mistakes and stuff as this is just a rough copy. oh and if you dont like it please dont tell me that lol i will cry

    MY WEDDING SPEECH

the saying “opposites attract ” really is summing nathan and i up! nathan loves big cities and fast cars, i love small country towns and kingcabs. nathan loves 50 cent and eminem, i love johnny cash and randy travis!

but there is one thing that we have in common and thats the heart pounding, sweaty palms, cant live without each other kind of love that we have for each other! i truly feel blessed to have you in my life, i love being loved by you, its the little things that mean so much, like the messages you leave on the bathroom mirror,

most of the time the messages are telling me what gun he likes or what size bullet he wants but strangley enough i think thats sweet! or when you make me breakfast in the mornings, there is a bite taken out of the toast EVERY single time. i also love how if we are standing around talking to people and you run your hand up and down my back, its just with that touch that it draws my attention away from the conversation we might be having and it can take my breath away, i can feel it in your touch just how much you love me!

i cant wait to live a life time with you, i want to make all your dreams come true, i want to give you the strength and courage on the days that you feel weak. i want to be right by your side holding your hand through lifes ups and downs. i will give you my everything to make you happy and i want to make a million memories with you.

now with all this being said. i want to really tell you what a wonderful man i have just married! this is probably not suppose to be in your normal everyday wedding speech, but i want to tell you anyway.

this man's love is amazing, he has given me strength to go on, in times when i thought i couldnt. exspecially with ivf, every single blood test, every single scan, every single doctors appointment. he was always there. he would never miss one. and every time it failed he was there to pick me up and say “ we are in this together” we will just go again! even when we didnt have a cent to our name.

but it was the day we found out our little bubba g was gone, we came home and i went for a shower cos the pain was so bad, i sat on the floor in the shower crying and rocking in pain and all of a sudden i feel these big warm arms wrap around me and i look up and there is nathan fully clothed sitting in the shower with me, holding and rocking with me until i couldnt cry any more, he spoke to me without saying a word.

it was also at the hospital when they were wheeling me into theatre to remove our gorgeouse little baby, you wouldnt leave my side! you never let go of my hand. you even walked into the operating room cos you didnt want me to be on my own, cos like you said “we were in this together” and the second i came out of theatre you were right there, holding my hand again. you might not ever get a baby of your own, but you have been there helping me raise charlie since she was little, so to charlie and i you are already a dad. and a good one at that!

now i know this hasnt been your everday speech, but i just really wanted to share what an amazing person nathan really is. i really have married a wonderful man. nathan i know i have told you this before ,that you are my patrick swayze, but tonight i can honestly say patrick swayze has nothing to compared to you! and honey , we arent in this together, we are now in this for life. thank you for choose me

ok what do you think???? i am so nervous lol

    Wink

the forcast is rain all day saturday but no amount of rain will stop me from getting married lol
... my sister's Wedding day was rain all day and it didn't make a darn difference as everyone had an such an AWESOME day that we ALL have still been talking about it now almost 20years later

so there you go the rain didn't matter not one bit, everyone has remembered the Wedding & reception and not a thing about the rain as the details of the Wedding over rode any memories of the weather

....... ***** Just for starters your beautiful speech just on it's own will be talked about for decades to come

OMG i got as far as the first paragragh and i already and tears & snot

... and i can't tell you how wrapt i was to hear Patrick got a mention

if i can could i say one tiny itty bitty little thing (just don't read any further here if you don't want to hear it) ... this is a little of my own experience when i gave a long speech at my 40th birthday when i was 25weeks pregnant with DD ... just as you did i was honest and quite brave to say i guess to most people but it came easy to me as i like you am not one to hide things and that's something i have learned in life we don't fully open ourselves up and just say things as they are ... far too many people i think see it as a weakness when you speak with a strong depth of emotion BUT i have been a huge crusader to change that around ... and those at my 40th birthday party knew that's how i am so it wasn't a huge surprise, infact after my speech (just as it will for YOU) you will have people look at her with admiration as they will see it as being quite courgeous ....put it this way my FIL whom clearly doesn't like me for i have until this day NO idea why ... he after my party drove his wife (my lovely MIL) and her Mum home and word got back to me that he said in their long drive home " You know what after tonight i have a lot of respect for Lorelle " ... (what a shock was that for me to hear about later)

Now getting to my point when i was about 3/4 through my speech i noticed how the atmosphere slowly became quite sad is the only way i can put ... so many sad looking faces listening to my life journey until turning 40 which many didn't know the whole story and i thought OMG this is mean't to be a night for everyone to get on and have a great time ... so after my spilling all these wonderful things and very heartbreaking things in my speech (and also mentioning all those that were there for me every step of the way) it was clearly time to save all these sad faces & tears and i broke out into some slight humor right at the END of my speech, nothing over the top as i didn't want my speech to be quickly forgotten to which everyone had a giggle and all the SMILES were back on everyone's faces.

So hope i have got my little message across ... i guess what i want to say is your speech is just heartwarming & incredibly beautiful ... don't hold back on a thing you want to say with everyone present as this special event your Wedding it may then likely be your only chance in life to say it ALL for ALL to hear ... and my only little tad of you know what i'm going to say lol is maybe put even just the smallest bit of anything at the end of your speech to get every back in the mood with smiles to move on and celebrate the special day.

Oh boy i hope that alright came out right and not offensive in the slightest way or i think i will cry then go kick myself in the butt

Hope that was OK for me to say !!

(P.S - my best friend of 20years has a DD named Chloe she turned 9 on Fri, a real cutie she is )
