We just had an end of year gathering with DH's work on the weekend. No santa but the concepts could still be applied.

It was at a winery around 30 mins from CBD so really accessible to most people. Lunch and drinks were provided for all adults and children. There was a huge park/open space attached to the winery so they organised for a company to come and entertain the kids. They were called something like Kids sports and were fantastic! They set up around 8 different sporting activities and took the kids to all of them - it was more about playing fun games and learning the skills as opposed to playing a set game - teeball, hockey, cricket and basketball to name a few as well as egg and spoon races, sack races and a giant tug of war at the end. Kids had an absolute ball and were entertained for at least 2 hours! Parents loved it too.

Would definitely recommend it again.
