I had a ****tail party for my 30th ( a year or so ago LOL) One the invite I specified what bottle to bring (ie Vodka, vermouth) etc and it was an awesome night!! My brother had done a ****tail bar course so mixed the drinks and we had finger food (DD1 served - she had a ball) It was an awesome night and everyone had fun. if you need recipe/amounts help just let me know.
I agree its a great idea! If they are anything like me i find it hard finding presents and being told what the person would prefer makes it so much easier.
that sounds like a great way to celebrate FWIW, it's exactly what i've done when having or going to ****tail parties in the past - we just specified what spirit people should bring so we had the right mix. one other friend who had a ****tail party asked us all to chuck in $10 but i kinda prefer the bring a bottle (even though it costs more - it could be a bottle per couple?)...the only thing would be if you had some non-drinkers
Hubby and I have been to heaps of ****tail parties and we always get asked to bring a bottle of something....I thought this was the norm?!
DH and I had a ****tail party a few years ago. We have a Money jar that we put all our spare change in, when we counted it up we had over $500 in there so we just went out and bought everything.....3 years later and we are still drinking some of it, and trust me, we like a drink!!! We are using the left overs and our going away party in a few weeks and calling it our 'drink the bar dry party!"
