Wow, awesome pressie!! Hope it's a blast

DH and I have two anniversaries - the date we officially became a couple (October 12) and our wedding day (April 17). For the first year we were together, we celebrated the October anniversary, but now we just stick to the official April one. If we have the spare cash, we give each other gifts (usually perfume or jewellery for me, and I buy him something to do with whatever his hobby at the time is: camping gear, video games etc), but if not, we just get the kids off to my parents' for the night and go out to a fancy restaurant (because I insist, it's the one and only time in any 12-month period we actually go out to dinner), then go home and watch a DVD and see if we can get a sleep-in the next morning
