Maybe you could get a top + skirt outfit if you have no luck finding a lovely dress.

I'd go to a thursday wedding. Its not THAT hard to take one day off work. And if I couldnt get the day off, I'd just call in sick. lol.

look on maternity sites/shops for formal dresses. A lot have them, and I've definitely seen one that comes in white and looks lovely. Thats if you want to get married in white - I got married in pink
On a friday, at 5:30.

My friends MIL got married at lunchtime on a Thursday! People stil came.

ETA - i have seen nice ones at egg maternity, szabo, queenbee
