Default Still STUCK - Wedding Music - AHH!!

    Hiya

I've been fighting this battle for a verrrrrrrrrrrrry long time! I think that wedding music has got to be the hardest thing in the whole planning of the wedding!! It may be easier if you have favourite songs, but we dont, we like dance/club music!

The last song we are stuck on is a song to be played while cutting the cake. So pleeeeeeeeeeease suggest something because I am so over thinking about it!!

    LOL

there is an awesome version of Somewhere OVer the Rainbow - sung by a woman called Eva Cassidy. You can listen to it in the web- just type her name and the song title and something will come up!

Our special song was " When I fall in Love" by Nat and Natalie Cole
    HTH and good luck!

"Memories are made of this" by Dean Martin for some old-time, sentimental, tear-jerker moments

"Just like starting over" by John Lennon - a bit unconventional but I think it would be a nice choice for a couple who have a child and are now embarking on marriage

"Endless Love" by Dianna Ross(?) really cheesy but then again everyone will be tearing up anyway

We had the song Heaven by DJ Sammi for our cake cutting. Bryan Adams also sings the song but the DJ Sammi version is younger sounding.

we wanted doof at our wedding but our dj conveniently forgot our request (even though the request for the music was sent to him the same time the bridal waltz song was & we only told him once about the waltz song & a multitude of times about the doof).

ok why not go something trancey then

or maybe the following djs/bands (I'm just randomly picking from the 80gig of doof we've got)

    Massive Attack (what about Teardrops?)
Chemical Brothers (I love Galvanize or Loops of Drums and Bass)
Darude - Sandstorm (there are a multitude of versions of this - DH has about 15 of them)
DJ Yves - You belong to me
Enya - Sail Away (Dj Tiesto In search of sunrise remix)
Dido - You Take My Breath Away - DJ Tiesto Vocal Mix
Dj Inphinity - Dream a Dream
Dj shrek - Show me Heaven 2006
Dj Sweegy - I Give You All My Lovin Baby 2005
DJ Tiesto - Beautiful Things (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
DJ Tiesto feat BT - Love Comes Again (Abercrombie & Fitch Aug 2005 Sountrack)

we've also got this wicked CD called "Technoclassix - Never Mind the Beethoven" which has some interesting twists on some well known classical music (my MIL has a copy of this in her car & she listens to it regularly)

    OK.

    How does this sound ...

Walking down the aisle (entrance) - "Thank you" by Dido
Signing of the register - "With or without you" by INXS
Walking up the aisle (or after the ceremony) - beautiful day by U2

Or am I getting too power-balladly?

    Other choices I like are:

    “and then he kissed me”
“come what may” - moulin rouge
walking on sunshine - katrina & the waves
“til there was you” - beatles
“im a believer” - the monkees
can’t get enough of your love - barry white
it had to be you - harry connick jr
time of your life - greenday
love & marriage - frank sinatra
    i don’t want to miss a thing - aerosmith
with or without you - u2

    ARGHHHHHH
I have to have a decision by the 13th of Jan!

because we got married in the back yard, I only had set music for the walking down the isle - which was "when you say nothing at all" rohnan keating (from Notting Hill soundtrack), before and after the ceremony I had african music playing
