Ooo another idea that I saw at a baby shower I went to, the host asked that everyone bring a favourite book from their childhood (I brought hungry hungry caterpillar). The host made sure that noone doubled up on a book. The host also asked that we write a message to the girls (twins) in the front of the book for future and so that mum knew who each of the books were from. Also, the host asked us to bring a pampering item to add to a basket of goodies for the mum. It was a lovely idea and took the guess work out of what to bring
