    Trash the Dress Photo Shoot!

    Has anyone done one??

Go ahead, you know you want to. Trash it. Get it dirty. Get it wet. Roll around in the mud. Drench it in the ocean. Totally trash it. Why?? Why not? You've made a commitment to your husband. He's your one and only true love, right? Then you'll never need the dress again. And no, your daughter won't wear it in 20-30 years. So you have two choices: 1) Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a closet 2) Show your husband how commited you are by trashing the dress, and get some great fun pictures while you do it!
I'm thinking of trying to lose two dress sizes (eep!) to do it on our tenth anniversary next year. I also have the perfect location/s picked for it I would also love to shoot one, I think it would be soooo much fun.

Mine is an awesome dress, but it's still sitting in the bag I brought it home from the wedding almost nine years ago!! I'm not going to totally destroy it, I was just thinking of some fun photos out in a field or on a beach or something. I want to wear it again! I have seen some awesome ones in water at the beach though. Probably helps though that my dress was around $500 compared to some it was quite cheap!

The beach shoot sounds fun, but buggered if I could roll around in the MUD!

Ha! It sounds great, except that almost everything mentioned there happened to my poor dress on my wedding day
It poured down rain for our 'beach' wedding... the beach had that black sand which then stuck to my dress as well as regular sand, and fresh grass clippings... then there was dirty corridors at the reception place, which combined with the rain made mud. Thankfully the dry cleaners were able to get everything out though

Dunno, I was thinking of having heavier make up done, like dark smokey eyes, I hadn't thought about hair but thinking now, I'd probably try something totally different.

sounds like great fun - buy after DH paid so much for my dress (insisted on buying not hiring!) i couldn't do it! would love to do a beach shoot at twilight though - reckon i could pay out for dry cleaning again for sand and a "little" salt water!

If we don't have the wedding dress, but do have the beach, you can come get your photo mojo back with us!! Beaumaris is a holiday from Pakenham right?
