DS shared his naming day with his dad's 35th birthday so I reckon it's a good idea especially when family is travelling.
We did DS's naming day early arvo and had that all about him and then DH's turn came in the evening.
I don't think it would be a problem, the only other option is to do them over a weekend, one of each day so there is a little separation, but if you are haivng generally the same people at both it would be a lot to expect them to come to two events in one weekend, so combining them sounds perfect
My DD's are 8 days apart so they shared their 1st/4th birthday party and will probably do so for the foreseeable future - I think it's nice to have a double celebration especially when family is travelling to be there.
