I need to add a wedding / love quote to the present I'm giving my friends for their wedding on Saturday just gone. Yes I realise it's late but the present dictates that - I'm giving them a photo of the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean taken on their wedding day & underneath it will have:
~~~~ quote ~~~~
Wade & Amanda
12 May 2007
Ok so which do you think is best? Also if anyone has a brilliant quote I'm happy for suggestions
1) To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage.
2) Two souls, one heart.
3) There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. (I love this one, it's probably my favourite but is it too Moulin Rouge?)
4) I love you in the morning, in the middle of the day, in the hours we are together, and the hours we are away...
5) For yesterday's memories, today's love, and tomorrow's dreams I love you.
(these ones I thought would fit with the photo...)
6) I love the sun for days, the moon for nights and you forever
7) We sat side by side in the morning light and looked out at the future together.
8) Love is like the sun coming out of the clouds and warming your soul.
Also how should I put it -- "Wade & Amanda" or "Amanda & Wade" ?
I know I'm being difficult, but Wade is my oldest friend (we've been friends since kindergarten, 24 years ago!) so it has to be perfect.
Too Moulin Rouge? Is there such a thing? I think you answered you're own question If you like it I say go with it.
And same again for the other question, if Wade is your oldest friend I'd say Wade & Amanda and if you want to get old fashioned its typical for the husbands name to go first.
I think you should steer away from the first person quotes.
I personally like "Two souls, one heart" Short, sweet and right to the point. I think it sums up best what marriage is about, joining the two of them together.
I would also put Wade and Amanda.
Sounds gorgeous!!
Do you have and pics from the wedding and of the dress you wore yet??
Oh Im not sure about the name thing, I guess b/c he is your friend, his name should go first but in some circles its really the 'brides" day so her name goes first everywhere, up to you really - if you are not too close with her then putting her name first might make her appreciate the gift that much more and shows you have lots of respect for her as your friends wife (PS what did their invite say? is her name first on that) .. dunno.. either way it will be beautiful!
