we got married 25th September 2005 - on the sunday of Grandfinal long weekend- Our ceremony was in a park across the road from the Burswood Casino and we had our reception at the Burswood on Swan reception centre. The reason for our date was because i am a school teacher it had to be in the holidays, and I wanted the whole 2 weeks after to relax.
DD was born exactly 9 months later- she is very much a honeymoon baby!

we got married on the 13/12/07, at a registry office here on the coast, out to dinner and a couple of drinks after with some family, it was really lovely.
we were engaged on the 15/12/06 and tried to book the same date but that turned out to be the weekend so we couldnt do it which was a shame.

27/09/08 - AFL grandfinal day! haha.
Our ceremony started at 5pm and we had a surprise wedding at our engagement party. LOVED it.
We chose the date because that was when the rowing club was free (we wanted october but they were fully booked), and found out later on that 27/09 was the date my parents started dating and completely forgot that it was my late grandmothers birthday aswell. Ended up being a very special date and day.

    We got married on 10/11/07

We were supposed to get married in a park over looking the beach, but we had so much rain the night before the park was ankle deep in water at lunch time!! Two of the nearby caravan parks were flooded in until about an hour before the ceremony!

Luckily the pub where we were having the reception were really relaxed and let us get married in the restaraunt there... it was all very relaxed - exactly the way I wanted it. We had finger food and just had picnic tables - no place settings, no forced converstaions.

We partied until about midnight and then 20 of us went back and stayed at my parents house... it was just like a massive party. It was an awesome day!!

15 August 2008. It was a Friday - we eloped, so the day of the week didn't really concern us, but we were later told that Friday is a good luck day to get married - some old wives tale or something.

We chose that day because it was a full moon the next day (Saturday) but we knew we wouldn't be the only ones getting married on the beach on the Saturday, and Friday seemed as good a day as any - the moon was pretty full on the Friday anyway. It worked out well because booking the photographer and celebrant was much easier for a Friday, and we weren't competing with anyone else.

@ The Rose Garden at St Kilda Botanical Gardens. The reception was up the road on Dixon Road. It was HOT and very windy lol couldn't stop squinting because of the sun setting the whole way through the ceremony.
