Hi Kerri
We had candelabra with flowers on top
my best friend just got married and she had a tall spaghetti vase with tall blossom freesias and calla lillies and then on either side a bowl of fresh fragrant spring flowers
We had little shot glass candles with ribbon around them with rose petals scattered on the table cloth!!
We had live butterfly centrepieces on our tables. We had tea light candles too (butterflies need heat to be active) and rose petals scattered.
WELL ... my wedding was in fiji , so the theme was tropical ...
we had blow up floating drink holders in the shap of a plam tree and beach .... every guest got one ... and also had bunches of fresh picked frangipaninis and hibiscus (my 2 fave flowers) along the table ... it was so fun ....
We had canoe shaped glass vases filled with sand, and on top of the sand there were shells, and 3 candles in each representing our past, present and future lives.
Scattered over the tables we had shells and edible stones (Hard to explain, they were like big smarties) that were in the green that our bridesmaid dresses were.
wow seems like forever ago - 15 years today to be exact! We had flowers and I got little cards which I then wrote thank you notes on and attached them to the flowers. During the speech I got the MC to read out the names of the people who needed to collect the flowers off the table before they went home - and they all had their special thank you note with them. A wedding I went to last year had a gorgeous small photo frame which they used for the seating names for each guest. I used both of them at home to put pix of the kids in - they look great!
we had glass bottles, with broken/shattered safety glass in them & a calla lilly in it (matching my flowers)... Looked quite effective...
Probably helped that I used to work for a glass company & could get clean shattered glass![]()
My sister had a summer wedding in Port Stephens (NSW) and had the most beautiful cake with starfish and shells and sand made from sugar and icing on it. On the tables she had the same sort of theme, starfish and shells and strings of fake pearls all kind of glittery and shiny. It looked fabulous.
We had canalabra with fresh flowers in centre and also teal light candles on tables!!
Our favours (guest presents) were jars of lollies from suga with our names in them with a thankyou card attached in theme colours looked great!
we had floating silver candles in the centre of the tables, with those little cofetti stars, hearts and things all over the place in gold, silver and blue (wedding colors)
i had a tiro of candles ranging in diff heights, with ribbon matchign our invited wrapped around the bottom, also had the rose petals that were from roses discarded whilst making my boquets so it all tied in, and each person had a personalised name tag, and each couple had a bomboneire that was a frame with the sugared almonds and a photo of me and hubby in it with a thanks note.
I had long necked vases filled with jelly beans in my bridal colours.....
We were fairly trad.......large thick clear glasss square vases filled to bursting with antique roses........
We had these square plate things, with red candles. There were 3 candles of different heights. To be honest, I cant even remember more detail than that.
Same here! I can remember picking ALL the black/yellow/orange/green jelly beans out though.......
Centrepieces were tall candleabras and lillies - our gifts for our guests were a small tube of a native Australian plant - so the room looked amazing with all the greenery!
