Having to vote in a federal election in full regalia and my normally very shy sister dragging me up to the front of a verrrry long line and telling the people as she pushed past them, 'sorry but we have to get married in an hour!'....no-one said anything but smiled.

Dancing with my husband to my mum and dad's 'song', she had sung it my whole life.
Not getting a piece of wedding cake because it was so good everyone else devoured it, then cutting open the saved tier when our daughter was born only to find out it wasn't a flavour we had requested (ie fruitcake instead of the banana it was) and was awful!!
The ridiculously huge grin on my soon to be DH's face as I walked down the "aisle" towards him. As soon as I was standing next to him he went to kiss me - got huge laughs from everybody (A) for his impatience in not waiting until we actually WERE married and (B) cos he got tangled up in the veil hanging over my face that he hadn't taken any notice of. The whole day was amazing. I know what everything looked like (including me!) because I have photos to show me, but otherwise all I remember of the day is fun, happiness and a whole lot of love.
Seriously, don't sweat the small stuff - flower arrangements, colours, whether to have this sash or that sash on the chairs. None of it matters on the day.
ahh there are so many!
- our gorgeous ceremony place, on top of a hill surrounded by breathtaking hills and trees
- our photos taken at the local rodeo arena, my bridesmaids all climbing the high fence in their dresses and heels (awsome photos!)
- the look on the guy at the bottleshops face when the whole bridal party walked in to get some roadies! (also great photos! )
- our first dance to Tim McGraw's 'It's your love' and the whole bridal party dancing and singing at the top of our lungs!
- our honeymoon
our wedding was so laid back and relaxed, if we forgot anything too bad. Most of it was done on favours and didn't cost us much at all. My wedding dress was $2000 at the bridal shop but i found a similar one on ebay for $120!!
anyway just make sure you have fun and remember the day is about you and your soon to be DH!
When someone threw rice at us and I said "what the %*#$ was that?"
My excuse is we had a very low-key, student wedding. I didn't have rice/confetti in mind at all (we got married in a park and even forgot about music LOL!)
Our wedding day took place in 40 degree heat so a lot of my memories revolve around that! Having photos in my full wedding gown standing on a chair with a portable fan blowing up my skirt because I was so hot! attempting to drink some water at the alter of the non airconditioned church cause I thought I was going to faint and the amount of alcohol that was consumed that night because of the heat! Funnily enough there was no trouble at all with drunkedness because I think everyone sweated it out!
Watching my DH watching me walking up the aisle was a pretty special moment, he didnt take his eyes off me. I in turn had the biggest grin on my face - think Muriels wedding!
When we were announced at the reception as Mr and Mrs .... that was a pretty special moment too. Also being called by my DH as "his bride" cause as he said I have the rest of my life to be his wife yet only one day to be his bride. I really liked that part.
* DH's nan and mum have the same name, part of our ceremony was for the parents to stand up to "give us away"
Celebrant said "Mr and Mrs Smith please rise" or something like that.
DH's elderly nan stood up cause she heard her name.... SO CUUUUTTTTTEEEE
She passed away soon after.
*Having tonnes of guests telling me how beautiful I looked, and being surprised that my mum made my dress, and the bridesmaids dresses.
*My dad crying through the ceremony.
*My DH's speech on the night- most of the guests were bawling, cause he spoke from the heart
