Talking Would it be bad form to wear thongs...?

    To my own wedding?

I mean really... I can't wear heels to save my life, and my dress will be long so no one will even SEE my shoes!

Hehehehehe thats right, we're getting married. Well, a committment ceremony anyway, same dif. Since we can register our relationship from next year (hopefully... get your act together QLD) we're going to have a ceremony too.

    September 19, 2009.

    Yay!

Now back to my original question... thongs, yes or no LOL!

Bring on the white bikini!!! (Well, you are on the Sunshine Coast...)

    Congratulations Leasha & Shell.

I hope two have fun planning your special day!

    I say go for it!

I'm like you can't wear heels for the life of me but am going to have to get used to it sooner or later as the dress I plan on wearing for my weeding needs heels!

Oh yay on the commitment ceremony, congrats to both of you!!!

My only suggestion would be to wear some prettier thongs.... maybe even some of those strappy leather sandals? They can look very elegant, still flat and comfy

I would say no to havvianas!!

Definitely some pretty white thongs/sandals/low heel shoes. Are you having the ceremony at a park or beach? Thongs or sandals would go well with that theme if you are.
    And congrats!

    DH wore havvies!

I wore thongs, but only because MIL insisted I wear shoes... I didn't want to wear any. Then halfway through the ceremony, noticed that DH wasn't wearing his - and I nearly interrupted the whole thing to say "WHERE ARE YOUR SHOES?!?!" but thought it might be a little unclassy.
Tomorrow when I wear my wedding dress again (it's our anniversary!) I'll be wearing it with gladiator sandals! So go for it, and have an awesome day!

Can't wait to hear all the details of your ceremony once it's done!! I love weddings (I'd call this a wedding personally because even if our backward state doesn't recognise it, it's the same thing)!!
I personally would go the route of flat sandals rather than 'thongs' (when I think thongs I think Havaianas lol), but that's just me. I'm a die-hard stiletto-obsessee and wore heels on my wedding day even though I was heavily preggers and my legs ached for two days But my groom wore Chuck Taylors, I whole-heartedly encouraged it, so do whatever feels right for you

If it's on the beach or in a garden setting, I think barefoot would be a cute touch, too!!

I wore sandals with low heels.. you can borrow them if you like lol

I think its fine to wear whatever you want to wear.. not like people concentrate on your feet in the pics or anything!!!!
