    Old job - new again

hey Everyone! I have just recently quit my job of almost 2 years to start working for my old boss....but from home. Here is a bit more to the story...
I worked for almost 6 years as a report typist/receptionist/administration manager for a radiology clinic in Townsville. Then my DH got a job out here and to be with him I quit that job and took up a job in a completely unrelated field. I left all my friends and family behind.
I hate the job that I took. It doesnt interest me at all and no matter how I try/tried I just never enjoyed it. So when my old boss approached me in regards to typing reports from home I was sooo excited. the money was a bit of a challenge to begin with but we worked it all out - and I think in the end i come off a lot better than I thought I would.
So in just over 2 weeks I leave my current position and start working from home. My DD will still be going to daycare cause its hard (read impossible) trying to concentrate on report typing and take care of her at the same time!
My only questions/concern is the lack of human contact during the day! I will be listening to some Doctor rattle on about xrays and ultrasounds and such but that will be the limit to my human contact....any suggestions on how to deal with this???

you mean apart from all of us! LOL

No, I know exactly what you mean. I work mainly at home and can find myself not talking to people for days and going a little troppo. DH says that he comes home and I bombard him with white noise because I am so excited to have someone to talk to.

I would really recommend joining some sort of organisation or sporting team. Or doing an adult education course that interests you. Just something regular that forces you to interract with other humans of voting age. I don't know what is available in Cloncurry but maybe the other mums at daycare or the local council could tell you about things that are available.

Good luck with the new job - life is so much more satisfying when you are doing something that you enjoy.
