is the rebate what is paid to the daycare centre? Im a bit dumb when it comes to this stuff...
we would have to pay $140 for the 2 girls for one day but centrelink pay $29 a day directly to the day care so we pay $110 a day.

that would make a huge difference
You need to tell Centrelink you are working. You can nominate for your CCR to be paid to service, but I am pretty sure it can only apply from one financial year to the next - so it can't be set up now to start on the 1st July.
If you don't do it that way, you will be able to get it back each quarter paid directly into your bank account. So in reality, it's costing you $55/day for both girls.
Just a note on the CCR and CCB for your budgeting. If you elect to have the 50% CCR paid fortnightly either to you or the centre, you actually only receive a 35% discount now. The Family Assistance Office old back 15% in case there is an overpayment on your CCB. If there is no overpayment, you will receive the balance of the CCR at the end of the financial year. So you get the 50% in the end, just not every fortnight.
