If your worried about him talking sweet to you then do the letter hon and no face to face.

Having to worry about what kind of mood he is in would be enough fo rme to say BYE BYE! Its time to put your family and feeling first.....work comes second. Its hard to do.....but once you have cut the ties then you'll breath easier

I had a forced meeting, he gave me the options (which really left me with only one option) and I resigned verbally and handed my etter in later that arvie.

    I'm with Maz though....

I might go in next week when DH is home and have letter with me to make it formal. I feel good about this decision, my family is my first priority and I don't love my job enough to sacrifice time with DD & DH.

    Thanks for your responses!

Exactly what I was going to suggest Winter. If you're comfortable make a time to go in and let your boss know face to face, but have the letter all written and ready to hand over so there is absolutely no room for them to try and negotiate.

I'm going to be in a similar boat in a few months time and I'm fairly sure I won't be returning.

    Good luck!
