I think I'm up to about the 6th version of my letter and CV Mak! This is proving hard! I haven't had to apply for a job for about 3 or 4 years! Thanks for your advice!

Good luck MG, dont think that i am on the interview panel as it stands at the moment, so one less thing to stress about.
Make sure you know about Risk assessments and OHS as you will be asked.
    Read your TTT manual.
I have no idea what the questions will be, but this is the stuff that its usually based around

    Goodluck xx

    Thanks SJ!!!!

Strangely, wasn't stressing about you being on the panel!

Have been reading about OHS and risk assessments. And the manual. Feel like my head is spinning! I am so nervous! So if you see me in the corridor puking my guts up... I'm not PG!

How are you? I hope you had an ok weekend

I thought I'd come back and update you all.

In the interview I was told I'd hear back by the 20th of December (yesterday). I got the phone call as I was driving home from work (so around 1545). Whilst I didn't get THE job I applied for, I was offered the counterpart role (the role is job shared so I'm still doing the same job just less days which is fine). Although the conversation went very weird after discussing my leave that I already have booked for the month the other lady is due to have her baby) and after wards I was very confused as to whether or not I DO have the job! The lady was going to call me back today (hence why I'm not sure what's happening) but haven't heard from her and not been able to contact her.

So, I *think* I have the job? But I'm not celebrating just yet!

I haven't heard anything, but i doubt that the offer would be retracted. It was a very close call between the two of you as to who would take my job.
    When is your leave.

Yay yay yay yay - i wanted to say something yesterday when you were emailing me as i already knew then

Haha, that's what I told DH when he was yelling at me last night!

you don't need to tell me specifics BTW! I'm not fishing! The only thing I catch when I fish is a cold... I was going to message you after the phone call but I am putting any big announcements or celebrations on ice until C calls me back. Hopefully I'll be able to catch her tomorrow to confirm what's happening and to ask some of the questions I have.

my leave is in early May (I think). It's around my birthday but I can't remember if I booked the week before or after. But I know the week starting 9th May was one of the two weeks. But we haven't booked any flights or accom yet so we're not too worried if I can't have the leave.

I'm just excited! My trainer kept having to pull the reigns on me in PT last night!

Ce. I have a bottle of bubbly sitting in my fridge for when you're here!!!!!! I am so excited! And everyone on my ward has been very supportive and think I'll be brilliant at the role! Nice to hear that! Even nicer to see their compliance has tripled in the last 2 days!

haha. I don't even have to say anything! We have a SHOCKING compliance for moving trolley's as per hospital protocol. But the last two days they magically began to follow protocol! I didn't have to say a word about protocol! To be honest, I wasn't even paying them attention a lot of the time - too many other things requiring my attention like anesthetics trying to tube a patient, a cranky family, cranky patients... I'm sure they will be back to their old ways when I get back from leave

One of my good friends at work (I call her Aunty, she has been a mentor for me) cried when I told her the news yesterday (she's been away). She said she's happy for me but doesn't want me to leave! She said 1 or 2 days in DPU just isn't enough time with her lol.

I messaged my parents yesterday and told them. Mum is so happy for me! I could almost hear her yelling all the way from England!
