ETA - I meant to say as well, often the big retailers recruit less often but in big batches. So they might screen & interview 100 people in one hit, then offer jobs over a few months afterwards. So sign up for job alert emails for the ones you're really interested in and have your applications ready to go when those rounds do come up.
